I was falsely advised about a credit I could apply for in order to get the service needed for my car. I was approved. However, the gentleman who assisted me through the process failed to disclose that it is in fact NOT CREDIT. It is a LEASE. It is advertised on the front of the store front window and inside the store! He also advertised that I had 12 months to pay off my balance of about 2k. That is ALSO not TRUE. I contacted the place that approved my “credit” since they were taking out money from my account without my consent, and they informed me that they are a leasing company (called West Creek Financial). They also informed me that I only had 90 days to pay off my bill. Otherwise, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE FULL LEASE AGREEMENT of $4,000 if I MISSED MY 90 DAY DEADLINE! The lease is DOUBLE the amount than my actual balance. Meaning, I would of had to pay double the money I wasn’t even going to use; which none of this was disclosed to me whatsoever at Midas. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. This location failed to disclose the lease agreement and did not read to me what I was actually signing up for. Midas should NOT be falsely advertising a credit approval IF IT IS A LEASE. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I had an overall wonderful experience at Midas of Stratford despite the situation with my car being overly stressful. I was treated honestly, kindly and with integrity. I dealt mostly with Aldo F who was an exceptionally patient, understanding, genuine and reliable. I will continue to recommend Midas of Stratford to friends and family.

Came into Midas to get new tires mounted a d balanced. Painless process. Dropped the car off in the am and they let me know when it was done. Staff was very professional and the wait was short. Highly recommended

I wasnt goin to say anything but after reading the reviews about the brake service i must warn the public.I brought my truck to midas last fall for a brake job. what was supposed to take 2-3 hours turned into over a week. Brought my truck in for brakes, at 9am waited until 3pm drove truck home, got a phone call saying they forgot to return my wheel lock. Drove back noticed brakes grinding. They broke my emergency brake cable. They ordered a cable, a week later they installed it. Now after only a couple thousand miles the brakes are grinding again. I will take my truck to the dealer from now on. Over $1000.00 lesson learned. I have to say staff was very friendly.

I brought my truck in to be serviced and was helped by Anthony P. He was tremendously courteous and helpful during the entire process. During the service he noticed that I needed some work done on my brake system and offered me the best solution to fix my vehicle that fit my budget. I will only bring my truck to him at this location from now on. 5 out 5!

I went in here to get my brakes and oil changed. When the car was finished, I looked at the invoice, only to find out they had put race car grade pads on an economy grade car without my permission. They are quadruple what regular, everyday brake pads would cost. I don’t know about you, but I’m never going to need to bring my Ford Taurus to a drag strip. These crooks just lost trust from a potentially loyal customer. Do not go here. Find an actually trustworthy mechanic that actually cares about the automobiles they work on.In addition, I always see this place under new management with new employees. The turnover rate is insane here. Sure doesn’t surprise me.

Came in to get some brakes done on my vehicle because the dealer wanted an astronomical amount. Was greeted by Anthony who talked me through everything and even showed me odd wear on my tires. He then performed an alignment for me right there. Fast and affordable service without sacrificing quality.

This is not the place to go to get your car fixed I was being way over charge to install a free Muffler the advisor would not budge at all on the price I left with my car and did it myself now I have a warranty through Walker muffler and its probably a better Muffler .... After a A phone call from corporate office ... we worked things out and I am happy with Midas muffler and would return for any of my exhaust needs

Hi. I have come here for years to get my oil changes, etc. In August a tree fell on my car and the back taillight was broken. I went to Midas Stratford and put down a $100.00 deposit so they could order the part (its a 2001 Accord). They could not find the right part. We spoke a few times in subsequent months on the phone and in person. They told me they were unable to do the repair. I never got a refund. I have asked multiple times. I paid by check so I was told they had to get corporate to send a check. I never received anything. I have tried to email corporate but its just a form and so far, no response. Ive put off the repair because work, COVID, etc. I like the people in the shop! I do not think its their fault, but Im not sure what to do now. BTW, here is a current photo.

So I went in to have my car inspected for a general tune up they told me all my problems I had with the car and told me what was the most important things that I should have done ASAP so of course I chose to the next couple of days which was some exhaust thing and plugs I kid you not three days later my tile gone blew all of a sudden I had no signs on my engine blowing prior they tell me my timing belt popped which cause the valves to bend or something like that but I went in and had the vehicle inspected shouldn’t they have told me that “my timing belt needed to be replaced” before anything else which made no sense I would have gotten that done before anything when I called and said shouldn’t that had been check they said mam I’m so sorry I just don’t have any other words I would not recommend this place at all I should have known because there was another lady coming back on after picking up the same exact car I had and she saying my car won’t start it was start at all and I would of gave 0 stars but I had to give one to post

Drove my car to Midas @ 10am wasn’t call until 4:30pm after they ruined My brakes, drove the car there wasn’t able to drive my car out had to get it towed because the ruined my brake after supposedly trying to change them I would never recommend this place to anyoneThey even broke my fender and ruined the door jam absolutely horrible

Made an appointment that day, and they were able take my car. Standard oil change with tire rotation. Excellent customer service, both mechanics that helped me were very friendly and helpful. I believe the manager greeted me, I think his name was Mike. Jose was my tech. They started working on my car immediately and were very fast. Didn’t keep me waiting long at all. I was in and out on a Saturday in 30 minutes. Highly recommend them, I will definitely go back.

I scheduled an oil change during my lunch hour. The mechanic made sure my car was finished quickly and Eric at the front desk was exceptionally polite and thorough. I felt that the entire staff made sure my car’s needs were addressed with concern and honesty.

I highly recommend this location. Brandon and Lewis were amazing. They took the time to explain everything in detail, answer all of my questions and were even patient with me! Terrible Terrible place to get brakes done. AVOID going there!!!!!

We brought our car in the day after Christmas because it was making a whirring sound when accelerating. Power steering seemed a little tight and made the same noise. They were short handed because of the holiday but were able to get us in after a short wait. Each of the staff we encountered were incredibly polite and generous. After about a 45 minute diagnosis, they brought us in to show us the issues we were having. The mechanic also pointed out other issues which weren’t related, but offer us recommendations for maintenance to be aware of a take care of in the near future - not at all pressuring us to do it today or even at all, just a fair recommendation. The unfortunate thing is that we were traveling home from the holidays and the parts needed wouldn’t be in until the next day. Because of that we were unable to get the work done, but we’re assured we could likely make the trip home, but cautioned to be extra careful. He filled the absent fluid, performed the diagnostic, and ran an additional check for free! The gentleman also sent us with a quote and complete write up for us to bring to our local Midas or mechanic. We wish we were able to take care of the issue right away, but understood the circumstance. We were very satisfied with the service, and if we were local would certainly use them again.

MIDAS IS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!The manager at Midas in Stratford by the name of Jose is very unprofessional. I brought my car to get brakes and oil change done, went to pick up my car and the car was unable to drive because Midas didnt know how to change the brakes on a Benz they cracked the fender and keep taking me in circles about trying to fix it. I was told they would show me camera footage, now Im being told they are unable to retrieve camera footage, trying to get to the GM of the Midas store in Stratford and I was told by Jose the store has no general manager that he is the only manager (which is crazy) I wouldnt recommend Midas to no one at all.

I have brought my wifes car to this location many times and always had great service. Recently took my car in to have the brakes done and the work was done quickly with the usual outstanding service from the team at Midas.

I used to love going here. It is very hard to find a mechanic to trust and I used to trust them. I dont anymore. I would no longer recommend them.

Just got a 2015 Subaru Forester and brought it in for an inspection. They were great! The person at the desk, Ralph, was very informative and pleasant. The technician, Carlos, was very thorough In his inspection and cared. The staff there made the experience satisfying and they did a great job with the Subaru.

These guys are worth their weight in gold. Super professional, amazing customer service, and more than fair pricing. Youre missing out if you dont take your car Midas. Been coming here for a while and I cant see myself bringing my car anywhere else. Adam and his team are awesome!

I brought my new car in to have a shake I felt in my car addressed. The car had 50,000 miles and Midas quoted me for new shocks and struts at $2,500. This seemed odd for a car that was only 3 years old, so I went and got a second opinion at a dealership. The dealership told me NOTHING was wrong and the shake is totally normal for a longer wheelbase like my car has. Total loss of trust on this one. Thank goodness for the second opinion. Saved me thousands.

Very knowledgeable, helpful staff! My check engine light was on for months- took it to a couple different shops (including the dealership) and they all told me my car was spitting out weird codes. Brought my car in and they diagnosed then thoroughly explained the issues at hand before moving forward with repairs. Cars running great now, and I finally passed my emissions testing! Also doesnt hurt that the shop owner, Adam, is very easy on the eyes!

While the customer service is decent the time you’ll spend here is all day!!!! Just go to town fair because spending 3plus hours here for 3 tiers is ridiculous!

I go to this location for every oil change. On each occasion I am told what work needs to be done on my vehicle. I know there are some safety concerns with my tires and breaks. Most recently was told there was nothing to report and everything looked good. I was handed my receipt and left. The visit was quick, less than hour, and the staff was courteous as always. My only concern is that I know there are safety issues with my vehicle, but what about the next person?

What can I say about Alex and his team. I ordered a brand new magnaflow exhaust system for my 2013 Chevy Cruze LT and it was well, a customize install on top of a previous custom install so it was very challenging to say the least. Alex, Will, Dave and his team did an awesome job with getting this done, did not give up and made it happen. 5 star service in my book.

The fact that I made an appointment for an oil change at 1 pm, showed up early, and did not get my car back until 2:15 was ridiculous. Never going back.

Ive been coming to this location since I moved to Connecticut back in December and have had nothing but great experiences every time. They are very honest and fair. I got the brakes replaced in my car one day before I had to be at work and one of the managers drove me to work while they worked on my car! I also thought I had to have the hazard switch replaced in my car, so I purchased one online to be installed, but it turned out that it was just unplugged. They couldve just replaced the switch and charged me for it all, but they were super honest. I would highly recommend this business. I live all the way in Meriden and drive here just to have work done on my car.

The guys there are really great. They get you in and out.

The midas on main st in Stratford over charge for their services especially when its a woman by her self. They will tell you they will call you they find out wrong with your vehicle however the way they quote the price of what needs to be fixed it makes you believe its not much and because being a woman you are not realizing it meant hundreds because of how they give you the quote. I was in shock when I went to pick up my car only to be told its a bit shy of $800. I will not be using their services again

The people here don’t know what they’re doing I went through them twice and they messed up on my credit card twice put somebody else’s amount on my credit card then they tell me they can’t fix it the first time I had to go all the way down there straighten it out I’m not going to get my business anymore and then on top of it when I walked out of the store they end up laughing not very happy with this I will try and i’m Nother location what Midas but I will not go to the one in Strafford Connecticut very poor system

My car was serviced over here only after it started to have some problem when I went back there they said they have to diagnose first. After diagnosis they were unable to find issue they just charged me for FINDING NOTHING. After That I had to take my car to Dealer where they fixed it.
