Im going to start off by saying when I bought my vehicle everything was great. Fast forward a year until today.Just left this business after looking at a vehicle with my fiance, since when do you need a down payment before you even contact the bank? When I was there a year ago all I had to do was tell them how much I could put down and then they contacted the bank. once the bank told me that I was approved, I then gave them the Dow payment. 1. I didnt even say I wanted the van. 2. You didnt answer my questions. 3. How are you going to call my fiance after I tell you Im going home to send you the information you asked for and then call her and ask her for her debit card information for a down payment. Then tell her you cant even contact the bank until you have it? Funny how we just left stopped at another place cuz we saw something we liked and that man told us he would contact the bank tell them our situation and see what his bank had to say before we even looked at a vehicle never mind gave him a down payment. Not impressed. This is her first car shopping experience and you have not made it easy whatsoever. So not like it matters much but, I will not be getting anything here anymore. And I will also not recommend the business anymore. See how One bad Apple can ruin it for an entire business? Oh and if youre a waitress in your reading this dont even bother going here because you cant get a loan even if you make $2,000 a week. 🙄🤷🏼♂️.

I purchased a Chrysler Pacifica 2018 on 6/24/21. However, I only realized two hours after purchasing the car that the USB port of the main panel was not working. I did not have a USB cable with me when I left the dealership. Alan Sperberg (General Sales Manager) was contacted on the same day and to my surprise, he informed me that this problem would not be covered by his dealership because this problem is not related to the safety of the car. I told him that the car had this problem before I purchased it. He answered me that his dealership does not check all plugs of the car before delivering the car for the customers, in other words, he sold me a car with a problem and did not want to fix it. The sales manager of the shop told me that the cost of this service would not be expensive. I have checked with the dealership and the cost for the diagnosis is $150 and the total cost estimation is around $500/700. Just two pieces of advice if you really want to work with this dealership, (1) check all details before you left the shop (or will be too late) and (2) pay attention to the definition of cheap price of the managers shop, for him $500 is very cheap.
Sold me and absolute lemon of a car. Bought a 2012 Mazda with 46,000 miles on it. Im now at 58,000 and already have had to replace the clutch, power steering pump, rear suspension, and all 4 tires (they put two new ones on when I bought it to pass inspection that were absolute dogsh*t). I had to go back like three times because they kept messing up my contract, and eventually screwed me out of my warranty. Do not buy from this shady lot.
Unsafe to drive by between 5:00 and 6:30 (around closing). Ive almost been hit by what I can only assume are employees leaving in dealership vehicles at the end of the day a few dozen times in the past couple years, 4 just in the past month. Absolute loonatics not looking before pulling out.
I bought my car from them over a year ago and have used their service shop a few times. What stood out to me was even though I brought my father with me (I’m a woman and don’t really know a lot about cars) the sales and finance people spoke to me directly. Other dealerships I’ve gone to in the past would often patronize me or only speak to my father if I brought him along. They worked within my price range and never tried to pitch me something outside of it. When I went to pick it up, it had been during the huge power outrage that lasted for days. They were still able to complete all the necessary paperwork and transfer of title. Not sure how but I am extremely grateful for it!When I had to have my tires and timing belt replaced, the service people were professional and on time. They explained everything to me so I knew what exactly had happened and what needed repairing. When they realized the belt would take a few hours, they offered me a rental car so I could get to work at no charge. I am forever a loyal customer because of this experience and recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a great car at a great price.

Took my vehicle for repairs for what I thought was transmission issue. Michael had shop diagnose problem. He was very thorough in explaining details and suggestions for having vehicle repaired. I would recommend them anytime. This is the 2nd vehicle Ive purchased from Huggard and Ewing. Have referred 4 friends, all of who purchased cars from them.

I bought a 2018 Mirage G4, a cheap economical car to drive around in back in May 2019. I’ve had a very descent experience with the vehicle. One minor issue with getting the inspection sticker after there was a recall on the car and Mitsubishi unplugged the battery so it failed emissions. I drove around and it eventually passed and Huggard refunded me the 30 bucks. Overall a great car great on great on gas and still under warranty. 5 year/60000 mile. They got the registration pretty quick for me and Chris helped me with the tire locks I bought.
So far so good. Its been a week and the car passed inspection, everything is in the same condition as purchase. They were nice, not pushy at all and just let me shop myself. They also got me a better rate on my loan than I was pre approved for. Overall Im happy. Thanks guys!
Excellant service and price
I was anxious about buying a used car for my mom. We found one fairly newer with great mileage at a great price....but with some cosmetic damage. Chris repainted the bumper and two doors and the car looked like new when we picked it up. We brought the car back after purchase because of noise it was making and he made sure to figure out what the problem was and made sure it was fixed. Then he went above and beyond by delivering the car back to my mom at home. I would definitely go back again. He kept his word and made sure everything was taken care of.
Very curious service. Chris went out of his way to sure car purchase would be a great experience by repairing a small issue discovered when they had the car inspected. Also very helpful in arranging great financing deal through a credit union halving the interest rate I expected from talking to other dealersThey seem to have a lot of high mileage inexpensive cars if you need wheels but are short on cash, as well as better vehicles as you would expect.
Withheld information about theRAM that I bought having no manufacturer warranty. It was a Canadian vehicle. Thats how they pass savings on to you. And I had a read a review of someone else having the same issue. They had bought and posted their negative review before I even bought my truck, with a reply from H&E knowing that some Canadian vehicles have voided warranty. They told me my truck was Canadian. I asked if that meant anything and the salesman didnt answer, but clearly he knew. Great price, but shady sales. They had lots of other issues with my sale including errors in financing and issues with registration, but thats not a big deal compared to clearly withholding information. I emailed the owners and asked them to follow up with me but they never did. I bought the truck in 2017, but Google just asked me to review so I am now!
I bought a 2010 Dodge Caliber that I am happy with so far. The car was listed at the upper end if its Kelly blue book value, but I spent an hour looking underneath it and under the hood and it seemed solid. I decided that it was worth the money, and went for it. If nothing major breaks, then it was justifiably at the high end of its cost range. If the high quality of the car is indicative of the quality of all the cars in the lot, I will be back in the future. They were my third dealer last month, and they had the highest quality car. I recommend that you check them out!

Were a week out from purchasing a truck from H&E and have been very impressed so far. We enjoyed working with our salesman Alan, and Brian in financing and have had the best customer service from a few women there as well. (Most recently Mary addressed a request so quickly it felt like it was done before we got off the phone!) There were 1 or two small things I wish we wouldve discussed prior to purchasing, but that is the buyers responsibility! All in all, this place will probably be my 1st stop when we look for another vehicle.

Jury is still our. Bought a car in January that I was very happy with. Took my niece there 2 days ago to buy a car. She left a 500 deposit. At the same time I got my oil changed. Yesterday the car started performing sluggish and loud. My niece was driving and was very close to h+e so she drove it there. Something is wrong with the trabsmissi3. I purchased a vehicle in November from Huggard and Ewing. The vehicle had some minor cosmetic issues that were fixed by the dealership. I just had to fight tooth and nail to have them fixed. The main issue was that there was a tear in the steering wheel and it took FOUR trips before it was finally fixed. I truly feel the issue is that the dealership is small and can’t handle the volume of business that they do.
I would give zero stars if I could.I bought a 2012 Mazda 5 touring, and it had stalling issues two weeks later. Brought it in several times, and they couldnt find the issue over a span of time.It wouldnt start in my driveway a while later, had it towed to a shop near by and they replaced the crank shaft sensor.Still the stalling issue persists, I then bring it to the local Mazda dealership. They had my car for 3 days and couldnt find the issue.I am convinced Huggard and Ewing sold me a defective vehicle. This morning my rear driver side strut disconnected because of how rotted it was.I am 30, with two kids and I feel completely taken advantage of.
We bought a vehicle from Huggard and Ewing 2 months ago. The vehicle would not start one day and after power jumping it we brought it back to the dealership because we were told it was a brand new battery when we bought it. You would think they would honor the fact that a brand new battery shouldnt die in 2 months! NOPE! We had to pay $150 for a new one!! I would NOT recommend them to anyone!!! It may seem like a small thing but to us it was the principle. If they dont honor the small stuff I wouldnt have faith they would honor the big stuff!!
Big Joe was so great! No bull, he immediately put me in the car I looked at online and after realizing that it wasn’t the one for me, he gave me another option based on my preferences. My family has been buying cars from Huggard & Ewing for many years. I have never been given a reason to want to look elsewhere. The process has always gone smoothly. Its never felt like we are haggling with anyone and isnt a time consuming process of back and forth negotiation. I have always left feeling I got the most quality vehicle for a great price. The selection and the salespeople are good. The cars are good quality. BUT. The finance woman is one sneaky B. She snuck in paperwork for a tire protection plan that we expressly told her we didnt want. We signed the papers without really looking at them because we had our three young kids with us. Its our fault we didnt catch it before we were out an extra grand, but Im hoping this review will save other people the aggravation of spending a thousand dollars more than they wanted to .Keep an eye on the finance people and READ every document she puts in front of you because I guarantee she will try to pull a fast one.

Lucky that I went to Stop Shop? before going to you-and I got a coupon to have an oil, filter and tire rotation. I got that done too.Thank you very much- and I will go to you again if work is needed.
We were able to find a van posted online, stop in, see it, and buy it within 2 hours with excellent customer service from the whole team. I first spoke with Sara, who was great. Then when we arrived we were introduced to our salesman Jon, who was knowledgeable and great with our kids. We dealt with Brian for paperwork and that was it! They then detailed the whole car and took care of registration- no need to go to the RMV! Thanks Jon, Sara, Brian and the whole crew. The owner was onsite and that was comforting as well. We will go to Huggard & Ewing first when we decide to purchase another vehicle.

I’ve missed 3 days of work dealing and have spent over $50 unerring back and forth to the shop with a warranty sold to me that took their time deciding if they would cover my tires. Brought my fear of small dealerships to life. I was told they had no loaner vehicles so the service guy says I’m going to have to find another means of transportation....I guess he meant besides the $25,000 car I just purchased less than 3 months ago! Never again!
Mike and Chris were extremely knowledgeable and beyond flexible when we bought our truck there in July 2013. We had a few big requirements and they were able to meet them all! They have outstanding prices and great finance rates. We were on a time crunch because we are a military family and they were able to speed things along rather quickly for us and we really appreciate all of the extraordinary help that Mike and Chris provided us at Huggard and Ewing. Buying a new vehicle is definitely stress inducing and exhausting, but here it was almost painless!

I purchased a vehicle from Big Joe and all he ever talked about was a good rating and he told me it was not about the sale but The Service after the sale, we’ll come to find I purchased a 2012 dodge ram 1500 with 57,000 and Big Joe failed to inform me the straughts were damaged and needed balancing with a total cost of about $911 and I spoke the manager Chris and another employee named Chris and gave them the diagnostic paperwork and they refused to fix the issues. The service sucked and they are extremely unprofessional and are a bunch of scum bags for Selling me a damaged vehicle without wiling to fix it.

Let me start with the positive. Reggie in sales is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. If you have a question about a truck, he has an answer. The prices are great and there is a no haggle mentality. Kudos to the sales team.An earlier review stated the following:Pay attention to detail if you go here to buy a car...the finance person will attempt to give you a higher % rate on your loan. She offered us 5.75% initially, even with credit scores over 800, and when we questioned her on it and said we had been offered lower, she immediately dropped it to 3.5%Im going to completely agree with this. Ill also add that if you dont buy an added product, like wrap coverage, the room becomes very awkward and the customer service aspect goes out the window.An earlier review stated that Chrysler products that go to Canada are not covered under warranty and that several vehicles on the lot are from Canada.This is totally accurate in regard to my vehicle. Its my fault for not asking. Take this into consideration when looking at the price - you will not be able to transfer the balance of the factory warranty into your plan. Before finalizing a deal, I would recommend calling in the VIN to your local dealership/service center to see if the vehicle qualifies for coverage.Its worth mentioning that I had an issue with my window rattling. I found a few scratches that I thought were related to that rattle. They would not replace the window but did fix the rattle.Hope this helps.

I have bought 7 cars from Huggard and Ewing mostly dealing with Jeff Huggard who has retired. Kevin Sousa has serviced most of my vehicles during this time. I never felt that he tried to do any service that wasnt neccessary and has advised as to what needs to be done immediately and what conditions should be monitored. I have made appointments for service but have also called at 7:30 in the morning and have had my car serviced by 8:00 am.Repairs have been consistently done properly and in a timely manner. I have not had to return for a second time on any problems they have serviced. They also have done repairs that another shop turned down as too difficult. The courtesy shuttle to work is also most convenient. The costs of repairs in my opinion have been reasonable. I never felt that I paid for anything that I did not really need.As long as Kevin is on the staff of Huggard and Ewing that is where my vehicles will be serviced.
They took care of me not once but twice,made sure I have a great warranty which they honor to the 9th power!
My boyfriend and I both bought our cars here and had a great experience both times. No pushy salesmen and no annoying haggling and playing games over prices. They keep things very simple and easy. The whole financing process was very quick and we were out of there with our new cars in less than a couple hours. Both times we made sure to go through Chris O’Neill because he’s exceptional at what he does, but everyone else we had contact with there was friendly and knowledgeable. A perfect place to support local business and just an overall good experience without all the bull. Will only shop here for cars from now on.
I purchased a pickup truck and couldn’t be happier. Even though it was a previous Canadian vehicle, I received the duration of the manufacturers warranty. I brought it to a Ford dealership for a once over and got the thumbs up, drove off the same day. These guys sell quality vehicles at great prices! Oh and by the way, I had a small concern after a few days and they got me right in and addressed my concern with no issues. I understand that things can happen with any vehicle purchase but it’s how these guys handled my concern that gives me peace of mind that I made a great decision to purchase from Huggard & Ewing. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from them.

Went to see a specific vehicle that I saw online. I had every intention of purchasing the vehicle as my wife really liked it. In the office Big Joe held firm and told me that he couldnt budge one dime on the price. This stance made me second guess purchasing the car from them so we walked and continued our search. THE VERY NEXT DAY I get a notification that the price had dropped $500! Had they dropped it for me the day before I would be driving that car today. I called a few days later as this really bugged me. Big Joe played dumb and said that happens all the time. It probably saved me a lot of grief as we had a feeling that this place isnt the right match for us.Few days later we found a car elsewhere.
I recently purchased a ford fusion from this dealer. When brought in for the finance paperwork I specifically told Susan I did not want any of their 900 dollar worthless packages. She pushed and I made it clear I didnt want them, she then proceeded to try to rush me out the door, I assumed because she wasnt going to be able to get any extra money out of me.Low and behold I have been signed up for a 900 dollar gap coverage that does nothing for my car. I received no copies of the paperwork until I went to pick up the vehicle. Upon reviewing them I found that I had gap coverage. I do not remember signing this, it doesnt look like my signature, and its dated a day I was not there.Not to even mention the fact it took them an additional 5 days more than they said to get the car to me.UPDATE: Since posting this review, I have received an offer from them for $516.36 in exchange for removing my negative reviews of them. I think it is a terrible practice to pay someone to remove their honest reviews, so obviously I did not accept this offer. It makes me question how many negative reviews may have been removed for payment and the legitimacy of all their positive reviews.

This is how you buy a car. In a quiet, relaxing environment, family run business with no pressure. And thats how we used to buy cars in America before these big greedy companies came and ruined everything.
Bought my car here and use their service center. The car buying process was the easiest I’ve ever encounter. the service center is amazing and always accommodates me.
Mixed experience. The purchase went fine, despite being asked 6 different times to finance the vehicle (paid cash for it). Then paid the ridiculous paperwork fee only to be made wait 2.5 hours for the registration and plates (after being told it was all set) only to find out they made a mistake and got the wrong type of plate....which meant yet another trip back.... meanwhile the salesperson kept telling me how it was not his fault (not sure whose fault it was) and that I needed to give him a 5 star review...talk about lack of situation awareness. In short, I paid $500 for a wash and wax and 6 hours of my time and 4 hours of an employee.
The service was great. I bought a 2014 Focus flex fueled . The only problem, I have with them, is because they give you the car with only one key after you purchase it. Then, when you ask for the second one, even though they have it, you are required to pay an extra fee, which I did not pay.
I recently bought a vehicle at H&E and although I am happy with the vehicle itself I am disappointed in the actual service that was provided. During the buying process, I was worried about the front tires and suggested new ones would be needed, but I was assured they passed their 4/16ths test, so we took our sales rep Alans word and decided to purchase the vehicle.Upon pick up of the vehicle I was given three keys, but no remote. When I questioned Alan about where the remote was, he suggested that the model I purchased, a remote was not an option. I proceeded to bring the vehicle to a lock smith who got me a remote for $160. When I brought this to the attention of Alan he advised they would not reimburse me at all for the remote and they sold the car with how ever many keys came with the vehicle. He proceeded to say, I was lucky as sometimes they sell cars with only one key. I was willing to let this go as even though I believe a remote should be part of a vehicle I did not ask about it up front.Then I took the vehicle to my family mechanic, who we have been using for 30 years, and have the tire checked out. He took one look and saw the underlayment of the tire shining through. He also noticed that one of the reqr tires had a plug in the side wall, which was dangerous. I asked my mechanic to make my vehicle safe. For 755 additional dollars my vehicle is now safe to drive with 4 new tires. Again when I brought this up to Alan he did not recall discussing the tires and again said they perform a check on the car and it passed inspection. Again not willing to company me at all.So I bought a $22,000 vehicle and had to drop $900+ in the first month so I could unlock doors from inside the house and have safe tires to drive on. Never again for me. Beware and ensure you know what your purchasing.

I have given an excellent rating as my buying experience far exceeded my expectations. I was greeted promptly by Mike Burns and other staff members were friendly and happy giving the entire dealership a great vibe. I had financing lined up at a great rate and Chris ONeil was able to match the rate making the entire process seamless. I knew the car I wanted, test drove it, filled out the paperwork and drove it off the lot the same day! It was actually being washed while I was completing the financing!Before leaving, Mike introduced to the repair/mechanic shop manager, Chris Coy, wherein he explained that theyre a full service shop and also gave me a card for oil changes - every sixth one is free! Again, a very friendly and helpful staff member.Needless to say, my entire buying experience was fast, friendly, seamless and efficient. I would highly recommend Huggard & Ewing to anyone interested in purchasing an excellent used vehicle.
This place let me go without any notice knowing I have a family to feed. They only used me for extra help and did not let me know in the begining that eventually they would be letting me go.
