This branch customer service is horrible. I will never rent from them again. I just had to drop off a car and they had an attitude. I thought maybe it was just the girl having a bad day so I tried to talk to the guys and he was just as bad. Corporate please train your employees

Went to rent a car from this location with a friend last Friday, 10/16/2020, and we were instantly greeted with a rude and unfavorable attitude by the African American girl with the glasses. She was nasty from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. She was smart mouthed, short with her words and overall extremely unpleasant. The lady who walked out while we were coming in also had a few choice words about her. This is completely unacceptable behavior. The Latina lady, whom I believe is the manager is also so pleasant and professional and I enjoy renting from here because of her. The other girl makes me never want to come back.Today, I returned the car and the manager was going to assist me, I was overjoyed as I was dreading returning the car because I did not want to encounter the girl again. The manager was pulled away and, the girl had to help me. Her tone was less harsh today...but I believe that is because the manager was there. No manager should have to watch over you to get you to change your attitude. You should either be professional and courteous all the time, or not work in Customer Service.

Decent customer service - at the least - but I won’t be renting a car from this location again. They really don’t speak to you at all, very business like and not personable by any means. They act like customers are a bother and provide bare bones customer service. I was told my rental was provided with a full tank but when I checked the vehicle it only had 3/4 tank.

Im only giving 1 stars because of the manager and another worker. If it wasnt for them i probably would of contacted their corporate. The front desk lady with the glasses was very rude and immediately started pointing fingers at me.We had rented a midsize suv for 3 days for my engagement photos because we needed props to bring and also for a wedding the next day. Both were in a woodsy area so it is to be expected a lil dirt would get in the car.First initial thought when receiving the car was that it had a faint smell of marijuana. We figured it was previously noted so we didnt continue to think anything of it (Big Mistake).On returning the vehicle i was helped by a lady with glasses which was very friendly at First.She first told me that i was being charged an extra $50 for insurance which i specifically told them no because i already had insurance from a third party. Then she said i was being charged an extra $400 for a smoking fee then at that point thats when her while attitude flipped. She was very rude and accused me or trying to rub the ash away.We literally just used it as intended. A transportation vehicle. No1 was allowed to ride in it, be in it, or hang around it because i know these places have up the *** fees. I told her that the smell was previously there but because there was no note on it she didnt believe me and was straight accusing me of trying to hide the ash in the front passenger seat. When she showed me there was no ash, just a little patches of smudged dry dirt. The manager or supervisor came along with another worker to inspect the car and immediately turned the car on amd turned the AC on to smell it. Right away he waved the $400 smoking fee as there was no smoke smell coming from the ac. I also read that a lot of rental car places are trying to charge their customers fees that previous customer have done to the car.Just a heads up that when ever you rent a car always take 10 minutes to check the car inside and out and report anything to them Before you leave.

This place was very busy. I understand when things are busy the customer service can get a lil shakey, but I felt like the young lady with the glasses was a bit rude to me. I did report the behavior to the supervisor and Shanice was ver patient and listened to me at the time of my complaint. She was nice enough to extend my return time to the end of the day due to car being late pass my reservation and I had a family emergency. However when I returned the car the next day she act as though she didnt remember her promise and gave me a lil attitude. I asked to be dropped off and she said she did not send her drivers out pass 4pm. It was 4:16 when she was finally helping me after waiting outside since about 3:45. I just didnt go there because I wanted to be done with this place. However in the end the manage Shanice did stick to her promise and not charge me for an extra day. I gave an 3 star because of the manager handling things in the end but the customer service was not that great. I must say that the short gentlemen taking rsvp and driver was very nice.

Service was good, no delays or hard upsells. Staff are friendly. Got my car without issues, but they gave it to me 3/4 full, which makes it a pain to return it with the same amount of gas in it, and I always overshoot and waste money on someone else. They really should rent the car with a full tank every time, to make it easy on the customer.

One of the best customer service experience I ever had. I was picked up at the auto body shop by Hertzs Manager Associate, Isaiah Dimas and drove me to their location. Mr. Dimas took really good care of me. It was easy and seamless and he placed me in a great and clean car (Kia Optima). Thank you again, Mr. Dimas!

Avoid this like a Nightmare. The employee here doesnt deserve to be on Hertz Payroll. Threateningly rude, all decency was lost try to get a simple reservation serviced and then returned. Scared for life to be at this location. They cannot accommodate you within 5 mins of their schedule even if it was on your job or life. This place reeks of the brutal reality of putting your faith in name of a company and landing in the middle of nowhere at the mercy of a deranged front desk person.

We came to drop our car off after having it a week. While we were waiting we heard Ashley speak condescendingly to a gentleman who had a crack on his window. Then they took the next person and we were next somebody walked in the door and they took them first. I asked Ashley she said oh her paperwork is ready I said so is mine here you go. Then I called and Ashley said you didnt let me finish explaining she didnt have anything else to say when I was standing there and again she was condescending to me in her tone as said thank you goodbye and hung up.

Absolutely terrible. If I could give NO stars, I would. I go in one day to get a rental through my insurance because my car was in the shop getting fixed and they give me all these requirements of things I need. I wasn’t able to get everything I needed, but they said someone else could take the car out for me. I get whatever they ask of me for the following day and then they give me more excuses. They have made my bad experience even WORSE. They have made excuse after excuse. And still tried giving me a crappy car

Very unprofessional desk staff. Nobody said a word to me when I entered - no greeting, no nothing. The rep at the desk was not kind and told me that regardless of having a reservation there wasnt a car for me there, despite confirming my reservation earlier.To their credit, a manager gave me a follow up call and profusely apologized. Thats where the extra star came from. It was totally a one star experience before the follow up.

Rented a car in July 2018. Was pulled over by a policeman, who told I should not be driving the car because tags on license plate have been expired since April 2018. Called Hertz, was told to come by and manager would handle the situation. Went to Hertz, they put a 2019 sticker on and the manager told me to remind him of the situation the next time I rent a car and they will take $10.00 off of my total bill. Thats it, for my inconvenience of being pulled over and having to make an extra trip back to Hertz. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!

Avoid this place like the plague! Made a prepaid reservation a week in advance, and lo and behold when I went to pick up my car I was told they didnt have any. Are you kidding me? Youre a car rental agency right? Youre not a restaurant that runs out of the catch of the day! Your entire business is devoted to one product and you dont have any?Thanks Hertz Stockton for ruining my road trip. The entire staff of this inefficient bungling circus side show starting with the manager needs to be fired. But it is pretty much on par with the cesspool that Stockton is.
