I brought in my car to see what was wrong..turned out ..it was transmission and price was quoted as the same price I was told other places.. I highly recommend anyone needing car check. Ammco is the place..great service..
I wish I could rate lower. They scheduled me to bring my vehicle a week after I called they said they would give me a call in a day or 2 well a week goes by and I give them a call. They say they havent gotten to it they will look at it tomorrow and give me a call well tomorrow came and went. I gave them another week and went in to check on it and what a surprise still parked where I left it and they said oh we havent had a chance to look at it. Beyond disappointed. No apology and on top of that some of the workers were talking about drugs. Glad they didnt touch my car. Who knows what if they werent in their right mind and could have put my car together wrong.
I was in Stockton on business and after I left my meeting I noticed a puddle of antifreeze under my truck. I called for a tow and went to AAmco on Waterloo. I explained that I was from out of town and needed to have the leak checked and repaired if possible, I spoke to Wade, he told me to have it towed in and they would look at it. It took the AAA 2 hours to get to me and by the time I got to AAmco it was about 3 pm. Wade met me upon arrival, and stopped what he was doing checked my vehicle, found that the leak was from a bad heater hose, he ordered the parts and completed the repair in less than an hour and had me on my way. I cannot thank Wade and his crew enough for stopping what they were doing to get me back on the road. That was excellent customer service! I highly recommend this AAmco!! THANK YOU AGAIN WADE!!

Dropped my car off on Wednesday and I cant get ahold of them for the status of my vehicle, Finally got a hold of somebody but they put me on hold for 20 minutes and not returning my call. I feel like they are stealing my car should I report? I mean if they havent worked on my car at least call me so I can pick it up. Kinda weird to have somebodys car for about a week and not call them
Took a friends 71 El camino to Stockton AAMCO, Forman name Wade, Gone out there 3 times the show him what to do he was saying the transmission was fixed as a kick down cable Was an adjusted come to find out 2nd gear was completely gone he said it was fine....
Sorry! They had my car 2 weeks to do a diagnosis and couldnt find out what was wrong with my car. I wouldnt recommend anyone go to the one on Waterloo Rd.

I have taken both of the Jaguars that I have owned to this particular AAMCO for over 15 years. It seems my experience is similar to others who have been there in the past year.So here it is: On September 21st, I backed out of a parking space at work and the car would not go into drive. I got it back into park and it would not move and then I shut it off and then it would not restart. (Ive seen this movie before). I called my husband who said to call the AAMCO guy. I did and was told to go ahead and tow it to the shop. I finally got it there after waiting in 100 degree heat for 6 hours (not AAMCOS fault), but I used my free insurance tow to get it there. The fun continues...I go the next morning to check in and sign documents for service. I was told it will probably be looked at this week. By the end of the first week we were told probably next week we can look at it. By the end of week two, my husband said to take it someone else, but I said no. I didnt want to pay another tow fee, ($75) and I had faith AAMCO could fix the the problem if they ever got around to it. Now we are into week 3 and I go in person on Monday. I was told the R& R guys wife was in the hospital and he would probably be able to look at it on Wednesday or Thursday.By Friday, October 9th (end of week 3), I was done as it was perfectly clear AAMCO was NEVER going to look at my car. I called British Car Specialists in the morning and they said to tow it there. I was so done with this and asked my dear husband to take over. The AAMCO guy hung up on my husband when he said he was having the car towed to BCS later that day.It took BCS a week to fix it, which is quite reasonable as they had to locate parts. My husband picked up the car yesterday, put it in the garage, and quietly told me it would need a good car wash. Duh, it was sitting under a tree for 3 weeks, but I had no idea what I was about to see. I pulled the car out of my garage this morning (on my way to Zoom for a wash and vacuum to get my baby back in shape). When I saw the windshield, I stopped and got out to look at the car. I screamed a 4 letter word that rhymes with luck. I was horrified at how disgusting it looked and worried the sap had ruined the paint job. (The picture is the hood of my Jaguar as that mess is the only thing I left AAMCO with).I have NEVER had an experience like this in my life and that lasted so long. Its really left me dumbfounded. From the first day I walked in that shop with my mask on, I felt disrespected. The guy at the desk, who wasnt wearing a mask, seemed to be annoyed that I was there. (My husband did get the same vibe). If the AAMCO guy would have looked at the screen, he could see that Ive been a faithful customer for 15 years. (Probably different owners.) If they couldnt work on my car, then he could have saved me time and I would have moved it to another shop sooner. If he couldnt work on it for 3 weeks and just said that, I would have been fine as there were a lot of cars there. Just stop lying and telling me in a couple of days. And stop acting dismissive of me and acting like Im bothering you. You are in the business of fixing cars.I will NEVER, EVER return to that shop. To the owner, Charles Hsiao, Im not going to contact you. If you want to write me a check for $115 (tow and car wash), then just look me up in your computer and put the check in the mail. Man they are not good at all. I took my car in to get a Engine swap. And they have had my car over a month. Every time I talk with someone they tell me one thing and howl different thing. Went by the shop yesterday to see if any thing would switch. Talked with them see if my car would be ready. They tell me oh I have one of my guys on your car all day. And it should be done and ready for me to pick up. Never got a call saying any thing about my car. Very unprofessional how they go about things

Took my willys in to have some work done spoke with Wade super knowledgeable...really knows his stuff especially on the classic car side .. was very professional and really cared about the job that was being done...they are super busy there so i think he did the work himself ...you might need to wait a little bit ...but the results are worth it ... thanks AAMCO and manager Wade
A+++ service, manager(Sean) and staff is knowledgeable and competent. You get what you pay for, and you get peace of mind here. You can pay joe somebody for cheap service, but this facility stands by their warranty and they do excellent work from great mechanics. They have all the current diagnostic tools/machines and explain exactly what you need to get your vehicle back to road ready. I would recommend them to friends and family, you will get excellent service and get a warranty that exceeds all competitors. Fair upfront pricing on parts and labor, and fast, efficient service. We were traveling and a coil went out on us. Aamco I was the only shop that took a few minutes to put the tester on to see which coil was out. I called all the other places to get no for an answer. I do not remember the mans name that helped us, but, thank you for going above and beyond. 😊
I paid for an aod transmission from Wade with home delivery and was sent a C6 on February 10th they refused to give a full refund.i was charged $250.00 for a restocking and I still have the C6. After calling for two weeks they Just quit answering the phone. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

When i got my car back after them supposedly fixing my problem Wade had left one of my plugs unplugged so that ot could blow up the engine and tried to make us come back so that he could make some more money off us. Shady person i will never be bring my car back here ever again.
Receptionist Faith was so bad over the phone that I had someone especially call to make sure that it wasnt me just thinking service was bad. I didnt even go into shop based off of phone call before I got there.
I wish I can speak to the owner or someone I paid 400 and still they had my car for a month and cant figure out the issue he said they do not have time to look at my car they have to much work so I guess I am not a valued customer even though I paid.I am going to look into this issue and see if I can reach out to a lawyer about this..very unhappy

All the guys at aamco worked on my Van and left it as new.I will never take it to another place. The manager there is very sweet with a lot of patience. As far as I know 5 stare all the way.
My friend took my car here at the beginning of the year for the transmission to get replaced it took them 3 weeks 😒 when I got my car back things still didnt feel right while driving my friend called to let them know but they gave him some B.S they looked at it took them days for the problem not to be fix 2 months later car back at there shop with transmission issues never Again problems still

Extremely unprofessional. I was told a transmission inspection would take 4 hours. I dropped off my car early, came back 4 hours later. The mechanic had forgotten to even look at my car while he was busy fixing the owners phone. He took less than 5 minutes to attach a diagnostic tool to the car & give a result, so why did I need to leave my car there for 4 hours?
Didnt get any work done here, only because the knowledge of the staff gave me good advice on taking it back under warranty. Will be back for sure when and if needed, thanx 4 the help

Dont be fooled by some of the reviews you read, Just check it out for yourself. If someting seem out of order then you shoud ask questions.I believe the response of the owner & manager of this AAMCO is standard procedure.Just reach out to the customer that may not be happy with the services but really have no intentions on making the issue right.Ive learned that whenever a place like this has no parts on hand & useing used parts means theyre going to pick & pull to get parts for your vehicle.I received a call from SEAN after i posted my rating & review but never heard what can he do to make me whole on the $800.00 dollars i spent to have my car still doing the same thing i asked for them to repair. i dont even drive my car that mucch now because its not fixed. IM GOING TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP . They may charge more but itll be fixed right.See this place in small claims or wherever the justice system sends me. This is not the end & i did give them plnty of time to make the wrong right. Again people if something doesnt sound right & the response change from the AAMCO service people. Get an understanding that youll not pay before you check your vehicle out. When i went to take my vehicle after a month i was told it was not driveable. Yes i might recieve a call today from Sean but its too late. I cant give this place a half star if i could i would.Now you guys can take this review down like you did the other i left....
If I could give them zero stars I would. The mechanic told me he had been doing this for years and years & heard my car and told me it sounded like a bad water pump. I knew I had a bad belt. It was squealing and all. They kept the car for a day and then told me that it was my water pump a 500-600 dollar fix. But wasn’t for sure. So they wanted me to sign a paper giving them permission to further inspect my car. Basically take it apart. Not telling me I would have to pay them to put it back together. Lol. Yeah I’m good. My car was never overheating or leaks. Just a ugly loud squealing noise. But I went home and I changed my belt and the squealing stopped. Omg! Lol! Shocker right! It’s been almost a year. My car is doing perfectly fine of course with its routine maintenance. Water pump still good. I guess I’ll have to change that too when it goes bad. Or anything else. Can’t go to this place though. So women be carful going here.

I knew from the beginning they where going to treat my car as if it where low priority. I inspected the car before delivery and realized it was a water pump issue. They couldnt take my word for it so they have to to their own inspection before work could be done. And so they did a pressure test and agreed it was the water pump. 7 days later I repeat! 7 days! And $500 later i drive it home and its leaking and now overheating. I call you the shop and they say it probably had another leak. But they did an inspection supposably with a pressure test? Why would they not fix all the leeks? I took it to a shop close by just for inspection and they said water pump.. the shop wont touch it so I dont ruin my warranty, they suggested I take bake to the crooks that wont take responsibility for their work. Not more than 2weeks ago I had the vehicle smogged and inspected by a certified mechanic before buying. And all of a sudden soon as I take it to this shop it has more issues. Worse than how I bring it in. Something dont seen right. And I cant believe they dont test drive or run the vehicle to manufacture specs before saying the jobs done. So now I have a vehicle thats overheating that cant get back to the shop and they tell me to tow it back. I hope they are going to take care off the towing fee. Probably not. Im havuhaa real bed experience with these guys. And everyone I have a question its like I get no help its like fighting with the guys for information they should be providing the customer. I feel a small claims court coming soon.
Aamco at 2589 Waterloo Road was great to work with. They were very professional and performed a very thorough inspection. Aamco kept me informed of the progress of te repairs and were professional and friendly throughout.Sean is great! He was straight forward with the repairs that needed to be done and leaves it up to the customer to make a decision to have the repairs done or not. I also have to acknowledge the mechanics, who work very hard to get the vehicles completed and are nice to the customer’s as well. They offer several finance options, which I thought was great especially, if your find yourself short.I would recommend this Aamco and have referred two people already.Thanks Sean and the crew.Johnnie

Over price in parts compare before you ok the work
I had my transmission replace thinking that they were professionals, but found out not only that theyre unprofessional but theyre irresponsible but liers. Never use AAMCO again not even for a oil checkup. They suppose to rebuilt my transmission but two month after I got my vehicle back I started to have problems with the transmission again. I told them that theres something wrong still, I went back two times and they only checked the transmission fluid level. they avoid me until my car didnt drive. I called them and they told me to bring it in. I got there and they try to tell me I need to pay to rebuilt transmission AGAIN because I was 150 mile over my warranty but I had problems with the transmission 100 miles after they fixed it... After few arguments finally was decided that theyll pay for it. I got my truck back well It only lasted 3 months, the same thing again but Im not going back to them again.
