The lady that helped me was very pleasant. Clean premises. Its a ghost town in there now. Limited staff and no way to really help short of helping with paperwork. Not their fault though. Work with what you got.

Called them after calling 1 extremely unhelpful, rude office twice, one not answering their phone with a full mail box, accidentally calling child welfare and 5-6 unsuccessful hotline calls that kept hanging up on me (why is there no option to stay on hold???).I was extremely frustrated and very close to tears and the wonderful lady who answered the phone was able to help reassure me and helped things at least partially seem better. Still unsure if everything will work out for me but the help was so appreciated after being drug around by others.

The worst dhs office Ive ever been to Ive been denied multiple times for snap benefits because my phone has been off and when Ive called to talk about my phone interview I missed I can never get anyone to answer Ive gone up there after missing my phone interveiw also just for them to turn me away and tell me to call after I reapplied and again I cant ever get anyone to answer the phone

The front desk are kind, but social workers, or the one I have, was horrible. Requested another, and they never got back too me.*****The front desk are now very hateful and rude too. Opened 21 mins late today. 0 stars. Andrea Wilson had an attitude the entire time. Its really unfortunate that people hate happy people. :(

The absolute BEST DHS OFFICE that there ever was. I have had to deal with DHS in many places in many states, which are usually very GHETTO AND UNPLEASANT, but this one is not like that. Their staff is so very professional, from the front to the back. Always make people their priority, with great communication, and they truly care..... If you say anything different you are lying in my opinion.

Takes kids from perfectly good homes. Horrible people that admitted that they havent raised kids. So how are they qualified to judge and remove children when they have no idea what parents go through and what real abuse is.

I recently received another threatening letter from DHS. If I dont renew my disabled daughters benefits online from 3/22 - 4/5/20 they will stop her Medicaid (14 days). I did not even receive this letter until the end of March. When I tried to fill the form out online, the URL indicated it was not secure but the online form wants my daughters SS number, date of birth, address, user ID and password--all on an unsecured website. In this age of computer hacking, it is irresponsible for any organization to require confidential data uploaded to an unsecured website. The only other option is to print out a form from the OKDHS website, fill it out and fax, email or mail it back to them, all before 4/5/20 or they will stop her Medicaid. Given our Shelter in Place order, I do not have access to printer or a fax so I cannot print out the form unless I violate that order. In this time of national crisis, threatening to stop my daughters Medicaid unless Im willing to compromise the security of her confidential information, is cruel and unacceptable. OKDHS is there to advocate for our most vulnerable population, yet they frequently fail to do just that.

Yea....I know. A five star for DHS. Am I nuts? Nope, my food stamps expired due to my lack of renewal online and I was out of food and struggling and they were able to get me food to last until my food stamps were reinstated. Thats kindness. Too many times does this place get hatred. Just a reminder that the employees in this building are human too.

Front desk people are very helpful and nice! But the Stillwater DHS as an organization is the most poorly ran organization in existence. They are way too willing to separate children from their parents and don’t analyze the situation before doing so, hard to tell if they’re lazy or just don’t care because it seems like both. They are also EXTREMELY difficult to work with when collaborating with them on a case.

The dhs worker on my case with my ex thinks its OK for my ex to leave the kids at home by their selves with my 12 year old daughter watching a 2 year old boy and a new born baby girl wile the ex attends court for 2-3 hours. The dhs worker said its ok because the 12 year old has a phone... In that case a 4 year old can use a phone. What is this world coming to...

I have a concern about reply your snap benefits information I think that the bank statements needs to end & every item we purchase We gain points be able to pay the full price as a customer do while purchase a item in any where they shop at only have a two sheets fill out forms less than one minute to fill out your Snap information is complete with a simple phone call or text from your counselor if that person want more items other than food they have to use there points to get it also get more than just simple amount every month

DHS Child Welfare responds to citizen referrals to investigate alleged dangers to children. If the investigation finds that the child is in an unsafe situation due to domestic violence or drug use by the adults in the home or have been abused they are temporarily removed while the parents clean up their situation. The state pays for classes and counseling to correct the behaviors and the #1 goal is always to reunite the family in a safe environment. Unfortunately, some adults put their own selfish behavior above the welfare of the children, so reunification is not always possible.DHS workers receive below market pay for their work, but they are happy to do so because they believe so strongly in protecting those who cannot protect themselves, whether they are children, elderly, or developmentally disabled. The work is a thankless service to the citizens of Oklahoma. If you do not want to afford vulnerable Oklahomans this protection then please contact your representatives in the legislature to voice your opinion.

Corrupt organization that is made up of corrupt officials. Makes me sad to be an american with people like this in a position of power. They do not help people that need help and lock away kids of the families who stand up to them or their gang members. There is literally a gang of Stillwater residents that have taken over the government here in Stillwater. This organization is completely corrupt.Maybe it is the problem all small towns face due to the size all officials get to know each other like cops or fire fighters. The sad thing is that here in stillwater they are committing illegal acts. By the definition of the word gang, three or more people committing illegal acts or crimes make up a gang.Just a little history, in 2012 Oklahomans voted to close the current OKDHS. For some reason, even after the people of Oklahoma won the vote to disband OKDHS, we are still dealing with the same incompetent people.To fix the problem we need to completely purge the organization as promised. Since it is obvious our business loving republican leaders are not going to change anything we need to at least clean out the racists, bigots, and corrupt officials that give Americans a bad name. Today I am not proud to be an American.

They make you sit without your assistance for 2 weeks while you are pregnant and have absolutely no food in your home. Even after youve completed the benefit renewal review over a month before.

If you have children and live in Payne county, get out of Payne county asap! Legalized kidnapping is what this company does. And they will laugh at it in your face. They take your kids away from you, then when they do research and find out you really were telling the truth, then they give your kids back.
