The store itself was fine. The customer service person was fine. The spectrum business itself practices thievery. I cancelled my service and returned the equipment. My payment was just auto- paid and even though I canvelled they will not pro-rate or give you any money back when youve legitimately cancelled services. So they are thieves in my opinion.
Not a very good experience wait time of an hour. Not many happy people there. Need more help. Paying big money for services expect a bit more assistance. Too much self help required.
After a wasted hour of my life on the phone, where agents denied responsibility for a mail ad, a long drive to the now nearest store and the long wait were not worth the effort. Spectrums ad about rates was false and store staff would/could not honor it, despite my mention of a credible competitor with fiber optics in our area. Cable and internet services are OK but customer care is not. Seems to be all about selling mobile phone plans.
When I got in their systems were down. I waited 30 minutes to be told I couldnt return my equipment and yelled at to go home and look for it like I was a child. A little simple kindness and respect was all that was needed, but like Spectrums no longer monopoly of internet in Central Wisconsin, my experience was lacking and I promise to never use them again.
Fast, friendly, safe and saving ($$$$) service. Saving us $100.00+ a month on our cell phone service and NO (ZERO) BS.
The company you should definitely avoid. Service quality is very unstable. And it charged me even after my service was terminated.
I went into the store to return equipment. Not only did I not receive ANY form of correspondence in regards to needing equipment returned, but it was sent to collections. It was a mistake to send to collections and was sent back to Spectrum. The rep assisting me did not not listen to my address change but it stays on my credit report. I was actually interested in purchasing a new cellphone and service through spectrum. He did not want to assist me and brushed me off to assist who he had been helping before me. He should not have taken me a next in line if he didnt want a potential saleLost sale for Spectrum and sale for another company! Way to go Spectrum!👎
Deb was very helpful with everything. Wish every customer service personal was like her. Made it a very simple process. 💜💜💜💜
Internet drops, all the time through out every day. Do not get spectrum unless you dont do much work over the internet, game, stream anything, Charter is garbage
Waited 45 minutes to return equipment. You should def call and make an appt instead of just drop it off like they tell you to do.
I wish I could give negative stars. I have had to call them almost 10 times, was lied to 3 separate times, they sold me a broken phone. I cannot believe how bad it was. You would be better painting a brick to look like a phone you would then get better service.outside of that, mediocre service, might as well left their name as Charter
The client to customer service salesman was excellent but its a long process because they always kept trying which causes you to spend more time and then you plan on spending.
Man bun Landon absolutely hands down the worst example of customer service. Picks and chooses who he wants to harass in the showroom.
They never entered into their system that I returned my equipment & got a bill for the equipment the next month. I called & was told they fixed the problem. The next month got another bill! Called again, was told to disregard it. Third month got collection agency letter. Called back again, was told to disregard it again, that it was probably a scam. Fourth month, I called collection agency as well as looked them up on BBB & are legit company. Called Spectrum for 4th time & was told they processed incorrectly & stated took care of it this time. Lets see if I get another letter next month. My credit rating better not have been affected for your problem!
My mother and I had a outstanding experience here upgrading her iPhone 6s to iPhone XR. They actually have on staff at this Stevens Point storefront an iPhone trained master who knows all the ins and outs about the iPhone. I highly recommend this store if you want low-cost ultra-fast mobile service for your phone. The iPhone Master is Amy. The store is handicap accessible lots of parking and is handicap compliant. They are also fully implementing covid-19 distancing masks and cleaning protocols.
Way to long of a wait. Only 2 people in whole store during peak hrs. Was 17 people in front of me.
Too high tech and fancy. Didnt give me real answers to my questions on why my bill keeps increasing. Blamed it on covid. Just ran around in circles and contradicted all the written statements I brought in as proof for the last 6 months.
Wasnt as helpful as they have been in the past.
It can at least turn on (sometimes) paying for the fastest speed possible but getting a wopping 572kb/s omg. Just dont get it there actually scammimg you.
They have the worst tv app ever created and the company is crooked to boot. One...most smart TVs don’t even have access to it. Two...you download the free 7 day trial and try to cancel it and sit on the phone with them for an hour just for them to tell you to drive an hour round trip to a spectrum store to cancel it. Then to top it all off they tell me, a customer of years btw, that I don’t qualify for any reduction in price of what I pay for internet because I’m removing a service which was a free 7 day trial to begin with. The best part is they charge new customers $25/month less than a loyal customer of years lol. Probably only because I’m in an area where they are the only option and can charge me w.e they want. How are crooked companies like this allowed toexist in the first place?
Very fast and reliable internet and great customer service over the phone... If you dont mind being on hold awhile often. All in all I am thoroughly satisfied with the Spectrum internet experience!
I’ve given this business my time and money for 3 days and I’ve been given nothing back but disappointment. Was given the wrong equipment upon picking it up at store location, worker came by to basically say hi and that’s it, got new equipment and now we loose internet all the time. Wouldn’t waste your time or money.
Pretty spendy for the service. Only have internet from them. Its spotty and could be faster for the price. You need to rent the router from them. They arent compatible with most wifi routers, even the best you may have for performance wont work. In all its closer to 80 a month for subpar net with random interruptions. Hoping the fiber will force these guys into giving good service at a reasonable cost. If say avoid, but do you have a choice?
Location needs more staffing, extremely long wait times. Usually only 1-2 people working which is not enough especially now that they are also doing cell phones.
Perfect example of a company that has thrived because of laws put in place to limit other companies to the market. Once the free market truly opens up a company like Star Link will put Spectrum out of business and disrupt this industry.
The worst ever. They have no loyalty to long time customers, my bill goes up every year, and customer service is terrible. I can’t get dish, or DSL, where I live and spectrum is the only cable/cable internet company I can get.We had a major outrage today and when I called customer service she kept making me feel dumb saying there’s no outrage in my area, had me unhook a bunch of stuff and ended the call thinking my router was the problem. I called the router company, reset it, and they’re even sending a warranty replacement. An hour and a half after first calling charter I found out all of my coworkers w/ charter we’re having the same outrage I was and it was in fact charters fault. Four hours later my internet is back up and my router is working perfectly fine.I asked for a credit for the outrage but was told because it wasn’t anything on their end I wouldn’t receive one. Surprise, it’s charters problem. If you can get anything else - do. Charter spectrum is ridiculously bad.
Want fast internet? Just turn your WiFi off! Why even pay for service anyway? Spectrum takes all the confusion away by making it clear. Using their service is a waste of money, time, and brain cells!
Terrible internet. Definitely not worth the high prices. Outages all the time and terrible customer service.
Very condescending associate, only wanted to tell me what he didnt know rather than listen. No stars, train your people!!!
Horrible service, total rip off. Go to T-Mobile.
I feel so frustrated with Charter for last 12years, but they monopoly the market. There is no other choices other than this bull crap company. Both my restaurant and home internet/landline is out at least once a week these days. Internet speed is sub par as well. I called them today because it was out again, it means I’m NOT able to get ‘ANY’ customers’ call for sale during the outage. Feels like paying for nothing. The agent over the phone couldn’t give me an answer either. I asked him ‘WHY’ we do have outage now and I thought we have the basic right to know what the problem is. He just told me it is out and they are fixing the issue. SMH... you guys better do your job.
You can sit forever and then they apologize for bad service. How about you just fix your bad service.
They were very helpful in fulfilling my request to increase my internet speed and while I was there helped me make a couple changes to my cable that saves me significant money. Worth the drive.
Charter Spectrum is the most annoying and insidious corporate entity I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I hope that this company disappears from the world sooner than later, so that both citizens and employees can be free from their beauroucratic hell. Do not give this company your business, time, nor energy. I wish I could give them 0 stars but it only goes as low as 1.
Didnt show any interest to resolve the out proportion incremental bill
Always has hidden fees and has terrible internet. They are always trying to get you to spend money on things you won’t use in your package. Would not recommend to anyone.
While this store might have really nice people, the company and their idea of service leave a lot to be desired.
Short of staff all the time. Waited for 30 minutes without service, ended up leaving.
We had trouble with the over-the-phone customer service so we went to the local store in Stevens Point. Deb was excellent help and really made us feel welcome. It is worth going in person.
Staff took social distancing guidelines very seriously and never had more than 5 people (customers and staff included) in the store at a time. Quick and friendly service!
John was very helpful
We have a brand-new Dpectrum store in town.it is much bigger and can accommodate more customers at one time which was much needed.of course its hard to get used to the name spectrum because we have always called it Charter. All the advertisement in the store was about their mobile service if it was for just phones or if it was for cable and internet service also. There was not much notification of the move so I went to the old store first because that was the listed on Google. Luckily the new store is in a well-traveled area and I had seen the it being put up so I went theyre asked if I was in the right place and was told yes. The clerk help me quickly and efficiently and I was out the door.
Internet services are great, but in-store customer service not so much.
Amy at the front was very snippy, uneducated & rude. Jeff was very efficient, quick & helpful!
Very friendly very helpful very professional
New store, new Management! Great customer service! Knowledgable, explained how my new S10 + phone worked. Much better than US Cellular!!
Great prices when bundle 3
Spectrum is a give and take for service.Pros: You usually get decent quality services, friendly customer service, and they are willing to pro-rate you if you ever lose service due to bad weather or other reasons that are beyond yours or their control.Cons: Your great prices are good for your first year only. After that they will go up and they wont usually negotiate with you much about the prices much after that. And when your rates go up, you will be told that that is the best they can offer you, which will then eventually go up even further and get told the same thing to the point that you just start letting go of their services. They have absolutely NO long time customer appreciation benefits. They reserve the best deals for new customers only. You dont really matter to them after your first year. You have to be a pretty adamant that you intend to disconnect the services before theyre willing to try to work with you to give you half as quality of a deal as your first year.
Please update your covid-19 office hours in google like rest of the world so that people might know when to come.
Dont even bother using Spectrum/Charter for anything if you can help it. Totally anti-consumer company who by appearances has had to resort to defrauding all of their customers just to stay afloat a bit longer. Try to get a different ISP, and definitely dont bother with cable tv - just get youtube tv. Spectrum does not warn customers they dont pro-rate anymore either. So make sure to cancel on the last day of the billing cycle or be prepared to pay for services not provided. I canceled 2 days into a billing cycle (the day I received notice a new billing cycle had begun and next payment could be made), called to cancel, and had to pay the full months service charges of $210.42 -- for 2 days. The reps I spoke to on the phone didnt say a word they dont prorate. After this, I was told they cannot even future date a cutoff, so you cannot even call them and say this is my last month despite them now being a month-to-month service...SO MAKE SURE TO CALL ON LAST DAY OF BILLING CYCLE WHEN YOU CUT THE CORD OR THEY WILL JUST STRAIGHT UP STEAL FROM YOU AND YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE.
Helpful staff, clean location
They have gotten more professional, and I received a handshake at the door.
I go into store to pay my monthly bill always instead of mailing it out. Ive never had bad customer service here. The woman and man that work here have always answered any questions i have.
The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I went in there to discuss my bill price. I was wondering why I was paying $73 for Internet that was no good at all. Melissa was rude from the start. Then a nice lady stood next to me talking about how she had router problems and Melissa kept raising her voice to me and her and telling her to be quiet and stop talking to me and being super disrespectful. The nice lady left discusted. I couldnt take it. I told her EXACTLY what I thought of her. After my rant was over she tried being all happy and respectful. Nice try lady, I lost all respect for you. If your boss was out there you would have been caned
This company is trash!!!! Ive worked at 2 places where it was always some sort of issue. When you attempt to call and find out how long the outage is, you get asked to pay the bill!? Like no thats not what I wanna do. Then during the day, the people are rude and act like its your fault! No 24HR service # Ive tried has worked either. I keep getting told theres an area outage....my question is how freaking many times a week does this have to happen and why for so long!? Do you not realize businesses use your company to RUN THEIR BUSINESS!!!???? Get your game together and resolve these issues before people start switching to other providers (as Ive seen stated already). I do NOT recommend this provider at all.
Cancelling and returning the internet is quick and easy to do in person here. Much easier then calling and cancelling
I love being on the phone for 45 minutes and transferred 4 times.
The staff is friendly in the store I like them. The IT people will walk you through plugging in and out your router and turning it on and off as if you had not done this before you called. So be prepared to fake doing it again to appease them. From there one of two things will happen... The service will pick up again because it eventually does. Or they will schedule a service call and blame your equipment. So while the staff ranges from friendly to reading from an inane script the actual service they provide is like a recalcitrant Dalmatianion puppy... Spotty and rarely does what you want.
They provide great deals for the first year, but return to more expensive prices after. Great if youre not in one space for too long or dont want a year contract. However, internet is spotty and although they claimed they increased the speed, it seems as slow as ever.
The staff there is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They swapped out equipment that I suspected was bad on more than one occasion with no questions asked. I wish I could say the same for the company, it seems they arent happy until they milk every last dollar from you, but this is a rating for the store itself. Dont give them bad marks because of the company.
Spectrum is a terrible company that abuses their monopoly on internet and TV in my town. They charge a ridiculous price for ONLY internet that FREQUENTLY goes out. Ive called before to see about a cheaper plan or possibly getting a reduction in price (Im a college student), and in so many words I was told that they would be more than happy to help me cancel my plan. Awful company that takes advantage of their monopoly.
Long wait, but I was able to accomplish everything I needed on one trip.
A very pleasant gal took care of my cable questions quickly.
Very fast and high speed Internet
Do you enjoy being infuriated? Do you have a lust for not being able to get anything done? Do you have a business thats operated through the use of the glorious middleman we know of as the internets that you want to just flush down the toilet? Do enjoy raging for hours on end while your internet ceases to work? Boy do I have a deal for you! Sign up for spectrum internet and it comes with free self loathing and buyers remorse! You get to watch your internet, cease to function with absolutely no explanation (although it will be the only thing youll get to watch ;p) see what I did there? But dont worry, for the 6+ hours your services will stop working you can use your phones service to watch people rage at your isp (if your notphone isnt through spectrum)
They need to get their act together when it comes to billing. I pay on time each month and each month they call and harass me. Take better records!
Tom was great and very knowledgeable. But the whole cable TV idea is way too expensive.
The new guide is terrible. Takes a long time to load. Digital receiver turns off and restarts itself at least once a day. Internet speed changes sporadically. Cable and internet is way overpriced.
We had our account paid and they have cut off our service 4 times and adding it to the account we moved from. We had told them to cancel and shut it down on more then one occasion. The first girl I talked to got an attitude and hung up on me. trust me never go to spectrum I am going to put it up on face book and everywhere else I can find. Hopefully others people wont get screwed by them.
This isnt so much a comment on the local place as it is the service as a whole. Do. Not. Get. Spectrum. Just do not. If you have literally any other choice at all, whatsoever, do not. The literal only reason I still pay them ANYTHING is because if I didnt, I wouldnt have internet 30 days out of the month instead of 15. It is insane. They charge you $60 a month for internet that some mouthbreathing idiot of theirs manages to knock out once a week for entire states. And guess what! There is no outage reporting form! And it takes upwards of 6 hours for them to fix it usually! AND even when its not down, you simply will not consistently get the speeds you pay for. Expect it to waver from the normal speed down to about 10% of what it should be daily. They are down most of the time, though, so you probably wont even notice. I hate Charter-Spectrum with a passion and they simply do not care if you are happy with your service. They know you arent but you have to pay them anyway because theyre the only people around. They need to get their act together.
My review is on Charter as a whole not the location in Stevens Point. Ive held tv services from Dish, Comcast, and Charter. I never had issues from any when it comes to simply viewing my DVR or watching television except for Charter. I am constantly trying to watch my DVR and I get the message Were sorry, something isnt working right. Call Charter. For starters that alone is frustrating, combine with with the fact that when you call you get a recording that says there are issues in your area. While watching tv there is a delay in the voices on the screen and your box ends up going through a 20 minute reset process and nothing ends up being resolved. If there was another option for television services I wouldnt hesitate to switch.
Still too expensive. But the service is much improved.
I have this service the internet and phone are perfect but the tv service they need to work on
Very professional and knowledgeable about their products
The internet may be faster than DSL networks, but it seems to go or every time it rains.
I just moved and had to transfer my internet. They suggested I upgrade my internet to the interent and cable bundle. After I told him I was not interest a few times. He told me I could get a free month of cable. All i had to do was cancel the cable before the month was up. BUT when I went to cancel the cable I was told I still had to pay for the month of cable.
Poor customer service and bill you for unfunctioning equipment
If I could rate them zero stars I would. They have spotty internet that barely works when it isnt down. I pay $60 a month to get and if I had another choice I already would have switched. If you have choice DO NOT GET SPECTRUM.
Friendly, easy experience
I would rather jump off a cliff than use charter for the rest of my life. Worst internet you could possibly buy
Best Deal around waupaca
Its ok can get busy waiting in line.
They had my order ready. No waiting.
Employees were friendly and helpful.
Went inside to swap out cable box because i bought a new tv. Literally took 3 minutes!
Their alright but Im switching to frontier on November 28th so I dont have to keep dealing with Internet problems
We love our service
Very very slow service to the customers, even though there are 3 desks for the associates only 1 will be available.
Raising prices and dropping channels, giving you less for more dollars.
Potato performance.
Internet goes down for no reason every other week its stupid they need to figure their stuff out
Able to answer most questions or arrange cable or wifi problems in office.
Considerate staff.
If there was any other service provider up here I would
Absolutely horrible, internet was down in their location and they spent 20 minutes trying to sign up another person for a service and didnt tell me they couldnt help me until she left, all I wanted to do was return a modem but now theyre going to charge me for every day I have it!
Horrible company! Horrible service!
The most unstable network youll ever see.
Not really the great deal that they make it out to be, especially when they can raise the rates on EVERYTHING. like receivers, broadcast charges, etc...
Trash service & prices
Internet sucks. They suck.
