I called Triple AAA as my van would not start on a Sunday morning at the Sams Club parking lot in Wausau. I had frozen food and my dog in my van. So I called Johnson Towing. He arrived within the hour... took me home to drop off my groceries and my dog and then took me to the place that can fix my van. They go the extra mile.

I was just rear ended at about 60mph. A vehicle was turning in front of me and the person coming up on me was not paying attention and hit me very hard I was only going about 25mph. Zak showed up promptly and took care of both vehicles. He was very nice and knowledgeable. Made sure I was okay and told me I should still go in just to be safe so I did... thanks for the great service.

When my truck broke down, they were there fast! They were able to tow my truck to their shop and replace the starter in it at 9p.m. so I was able to get back home in the Beloit area that night! Very good and efficient service!

I called Johnson Towing after experiencing a problem with my car in Lowes parking lot. After an exchange of information he gave me a time of arrival. He was there promptly on time, was very courteous and had my car on his truck quickly. He offered to drive me back to town with the car but my wife was already on her way. He let me sit inside the truck to get out of the cold while I waited for my wife to arrive. Their service is top notch.

I happened to witness a full burn out by two employees at a very busy intersection in one of their wreckers. It was appalling and frankly a little dangerous. To me that lack of respect for the business and their company vehicles will be directly related to the lack of respect they will give the customer and their vehicle.

Our camper van broke down on our way to a cabin for the holiday weekend. We happened to call the nicest and kindest tow truck company (Johnsons Towing) who not only towed the truck to a repair shop (who Benknew personally and called at home), but took us in two vehicles (both Bens personal vehicles) to a nearby hotel that allowed us to bring Blake (our dog) with us! Ben was very kind and caring throughout the whole process. He treated us like we were family or close friends! He even called the next day to offer a ride to get a rental car. On top of all that, the price was fair.

While towing a large 5th wheel RV near Stevens Point, my truck turbo hose blew on Memorial Day 2018. After calling roadside assistance, Johnson Towing was there to help me within about 30 minutes. They were able to tow the truck and RV still attached all the way to Madison. Cost was reasonable and the service was fantastic. Very nice guys to interact with. Ben had to make multiple stops to get the RV dropped off and truck to the dealer. Then...drop me at a hotel. Great experience considering it was a bad day. Would recommend these guys to anyone. Truly thankful for their GREAT service. This past Saturday, I locked my keys in my car at a grocery store, and these guys not only answered on a Saturday morning (unlike another place), but showed up within 30 minutes, were polite/friendly, and waived my charge. I was SHOCKED! I would never have asked them to do it for free, but was truly dreading the cost, especially since I was in the midst of delivering someone elses groceries (yes, ice cream was in the backseat). If you need a tow in the Stevens Point area give these guys a call. Had two kids on their way to work on a black ice morning each end up in the ditch. Johnsons pulled both of them out quickly. They made sure the kids were safe and handled the tows professionally. I will definitely call them again if we need help, and strongly recommend them to everyone, you wont be disappointed.

My friend locked her keys in her car by accident the day before Christmas Eve while we were ice skating and Johnson’s towing came very quickly and opened her door no problem! April 2019: Serpentine Belt busted on the car and battery died, leaving me stranded a couple towns over at 1am. Contacted all the so-called 24h towing companies in the area and received no answer multiple times from all except two. One stated they would be available at 11am, nothing like a 10h window stranded. Johnson Towing made it clear they would have a truck available within an hour (arrived within 30min) and the young gentleman who arrived greeted us warmly and professionally immediately got to work. It took longer to fill out the necessary paperwork and confirm the destination of my vehicle than it did for the Johnson employee to hook the car up and get back on the road. Very fast, efficient, and did not cost an arm and a leg for service requested.Unexpected situations can be tough. The most painful part of the whole situation was ending up having only one option out of five. That option, Johnson Towing, exceeded expectations, and I will remember them in the future.EDIT: 05/08/2019 Managed to lock my keys in my car. Tried wedging the door open myself and failed remarkably well. Called Johnson figuring at worst hed be able to point me in the right direction to a reputable locksmith. Instead he came out and, with the right tools, popped my door right open, no damage, no hassle, pouring rain no less. His rate on this job was largely mileage and it didnt break the bank.

Came in less than 10 minutes, needed my house keys to get the backup car keys after losing them in the river. After getting my car unlocked, they even drove me home and back to get the keys. Very thankful for the service. Call them first!

He arrived promptly with a beautiful, brand new Ford F150 on his tow truck. He allowed me to drive my family home in his new truck while he towed my minivan to a nearby town for repairs. How many people would allow a complete stranger to drive a $60,000 vehicle of theirs? Ben is very trustworthy and his kind gesture to allow us to use his truck speaks volumes about his character! I am very appreciative of everything Ben did to help us out ! If you get stuck somewhere in Wisconsin and need help, call these guys and they will do an excellent job to assist you !

They were out to me in under 20 minutes, very gentle with my car (its a 98 3000GT, so not the easiest car to tow), top-notch, quality service, and didnt charge me an arm and a leg. Its never a good day when you have to call for a tow. Its really not a good day if you have to do that 2 hours from home while youre 8 months pregnant. BUT, if you have to do it, you want to do it with Johnson Towing. My friend and I were lucky enough to share a nice little Sunday drive with Ben, who not only kept us thoroughly entertained, but also got us snacks and caffeine so we were slightly less crabby. His truck was clean and his humor was contagious. By the time we got home we had given him a nickname (Officer Qdoba), sampled all the goodies Wisconsin/Minnesota has to offer, and improved our joke repertoire. Oh and my car made it safely to its destination. Johnson Towing made a bad day a little brighter and we definitely wont forget Bens kindness.

Amazing Service would be the best way to begin this but it doesnt even begin to detail what Johnson Towing did for us. It was January 29th and we were about 20 miles east of Steven Point at a hotel and about 40 Miles east of where we live. Temps dropped to almost -50 the evening of the 29th and the next morning when we were going to drive the last 40 miles of our trip, I went out at 6:30am and our brand new battery failed. We called a local company, they came 1 1/2 miles down the road, attempted to jump us, it didnt work and they charged us 50.00. They said it would be best if we called somebody from Wisconsin Rapids to come and tow us in. We called a Rapids Towing Company and they quoted us 365.00 to come and pick up our truck and deliver it to our warm garage in Rapids. They made it from Rapids to Plover and their Diesel Fuel Lines gelled up so they could not continue. We called another Rapids Towing CO. and they would not help due to the overwhelming calls for help due to the weather. We decided to try Stevens Point since it was in between where we were stranded and where we were going. We called Johnson Towing and They said they could come and get us later in the day and haul our truck to our home in Rapids. The price was under 200.00. We had a friend pick us up and take us to our home where we waited for our truck to be delivered. I kept in contact with the driver throughout the wait and he was always kind and answered my questions even though I knew he was swamped with calls in subhuman weather conditions. Our truck was delivered to our home about 5:30 and he told me he was going since 6:00 am and he had additional calls to do yet that evening. He explained what he thought the issue was and we discussed what my next steps should be to assure my truck would start in the morning. I took his advise and it fired up this morning and is running great. In horrible weather condition this company came through for us, they drove long distances to get our truck and bring it to us for a fair price when they could have made more money staying in Stevens Point assisting stranded drivers but they did the right thing and money was not the driving force in this decision. They are the only towing company that you need ever. They are so far above amazing and so far beyond life saving.Randy Jack

There’s a reason why the reviews are so good for Johnson’s Towing. They care about people like no towing service I’ve ever experienced before. My tire blew near Point on a really cold day and Walmart was unable to replace the tire as my lug nut key was missing. I called Johnson’s Towing after making an appt. at Honda and was prepared to lose the second half of my day waiting but Benji had me on the road in no time. He made arrangements with Honda to have them unlock the lug nut and took my car to another shop where the guys dropped everything to replace my tire. I’ve never written a review before but I’d give them six stars if I could! Thank you!!
