This shop and the owner is outstanding. They stayed open after hours to help my daughter out with her car troubles...very kind owner!

If you have a good idea of what needs fixing they will get it done quickly and as inexpensive as possible. Diagnostics however does not particularly seem like their strong suit but they do great for a 2 person shop. Saved me over $250 on a new alternator by using an aftermarket warranty I didnt know I had.

My check engine light was on and they were able to get me in right away, everyone was super friendly & they were able to get my car fixed quick and for a very reasonable amount! Other places I called wanted to charge me $100 just to find out what was wrong with it. Definitely reccomend this place,they went above and beyond!

I will only ever go here. I am a 21 year old female, and I dont know a hell of a lot about cars. Mechanics and car guys seem to pick up on this and like to play me, charge me more. Not these guys. They always tell me whats up, give me cheaper solutions and whenever Im concerned about my car they will check it out for no cost. They are honest as the day is long and Larry is very attentive.

I was recently traveling between Eau Claire and Wausau, WI on business when my car started miss-firing and loosing power, with a blinking check engine light. I was able to make it to Plover, WI around 8:00 PM, where I had a hotel booked, and started looking for a garage to service my vehicle the next morning. I found several, but Elmers had good reviews, certified mechanics, and opened earlier in the morning than the others, which was important, since I had another appointment later in the day that required a significant drive. I called 1st thing in the morning and the owner told me to bring it in and he would do his best to look at it quickly. I arrived around 7:45 AM and by 8:10 AM he had one of his mechanics working on my car. It was quickly diagnosed as a bad coil on one of the spark plugs and the part was ordered. Long story short, the car was repaired, road tested and I was on my way by 9:15 AM. I cant say enough about my experience. The owner and staff were very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and were very fair on the price paid for the repair. I travel extensively, by car, (40,000 mi per yr) for business and have had occasion to experience service needs while traveling, multiple times. Few went this well, and none better. I would highly recommend Elmers and thank them for their help in keeping my week on schedule. Wish they had a location in the Chicago area.
