Pete, Eve and their son, Brice, are excellent hosts! Pete is a professional guide, who took care of us (my father, my brother and I) diligently and made sure we visited incredible spots, while being on the fish non-stop! Pete is a professional who focuses on his guests having a great experience. The Alaska Fish Catcher experience includes (to mention a few) a pristine lodge, a super clean boat and the satisfaction of knowing that one is in the best hands with hosts that work hard with attention to detail. From Eves effective breakfast and lunch system - to Brices support - to Pete being the real deal when it comes to catching amazing fish and coordinating with the best service providers in the region for other activities like deep sea fishing and fly outs.Thank you Eve, Pete and Brice. This was a fun family trip; Pete and Eve were very hospitable, the rooms were super clean and comfortable. I was very impressed with the organizations for our daily outings; Eve has an amazing system for each guest, which made every morning easy for my family and I to rush out the door and not be worried if we missed snacks, coffee, directions etc. Oh… the snacks are delicious specially when you spend an entire day fishing!Thank you Pete and Eve for the amazing experience! Have been fishing with Pete for many years, starting in Northern California for salmon and steelhead. Having found him in Alaska through a mutual friend have been coming to Alaska fish catcher lodge for several years now. He is always the outstanding professional with a super lodge and the cleanest fishing boat. Having just returned from another great trip we have already made reservations for next year.

This is a wonderful place to stay with two amazing hosts. Eve made our stay at the lodge a great pleasure! The house is very clean, organized, and there was no shortage of entertainment in our brief downtime. Pete kept us on the fish continuously! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and honest about how to make the best of your fishing experience. He works very hard for his clients. Brought my dad up to Alaska for the first time; Pete, Eve, and Brice made the experience amazing. The lodge was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need. Eve had wonderful lunches packed everyday for us to take fishing. We caught our limit of fish every day, even on the days when other guides weren’t getting anything. Pete and Eve are excellent hosts and very nice people. The lodge is extremely clean, well maintained, and quiet. The attention to the small things is what really makes a difference. The sack lunches are an example of the detail. Grab a sack lunch and go fishing or just spend the day looking around.The fishing trips were very well organized with the same attention to detail that we experienced at the lodge. The Kenai is a beautiful river and full of fish. Pete knows where they are. As usual Joanne got the biggest silver salmon. Look forward to fishing in June for the king salmon.Thank you for the great experience.

Great place with lots of amenities. Terrific kitchen and man cave basement. Pete and Eve are great. Fishing was spotty for Silvers, but trout fishing with Scotty as guide was fantastic and well worth the trip.

This is the only guide service we will ever use in Alaska. We brought our three kids, ages 8, 6, and 5 and Pete tailored our fishing experience so the kids would be fully involved and we made memories we will share for the rest of our lives! Pete and Eve run a truly professional business and we could not have asked for more- every detail they took care of! We will definitely be coming back to the Alaska Fish Catchers lodge to bring home some big salmon!

Pete and his family were wonderful. The lodge was super clean and well managed. My family felt welcomed and comfortable. We booked for two days of fishing, one salmon day and one halibut day. We visited Alaska the first week of August. The lodge offers competitive pricing and it was well worth the trip!We fished for Sockeye salmon and caught our limit in an hour. Pete and his son did all of the work on the boat, we didnt have to touch the fish unless we wanted to. Since it was so quick Pete gave us a little tour of the river to see some eagles and salmon. Our halibut experience was fantastic as well. We had to drive to Homer for that but it was worth the trip.The captain there was spot on where the fish were, and since we caught our limit so quickly we did some more salmon fishing at cook inlet. So if you are interested in King salmon make sure you have that king stamp on your fishing license.We ended up with 115lbs of fish between 3 people. We took our fish to a local fish processor and stored it there untill we need to go to the Airport. Ancorage airport also has a freezer storage unit FYI. Check in your fish like a bag of luggage. It took us about 20hrs to get home and the fish was still frozen. Overall it was really great trip!

Our guide Pete is pleasant to fish with and knowledgeable of the waters we fished in. All his fishing equipment is high end. “Fish on” is heard over and over when in his boat !

My wife and I had an exceptional time here. It is the cleanest place we have ever stayed and it had everything you could want. The kitchen had every appliance and accessory and the two huge BBQs were clean and new. They even have a pizza stone which worked great for the Papa Murphys take and bake pizza we had one night. Eve, Pete, and Bricen are wonderful people and were always available. Pete has all the contacts you will need to make your fishing experience one you will never forget. We hope to return soon for another fabulous Alaskan adventure.

Had a great time with Pete, casting plugs with sardine wraps and when the sun came out, bouncing eggs with his homemade rubber weights.Knowledgeable, a real coach and genuine good guy. Highly recommended!!!*******

We absolutely loved everything about this experience. Booking a trip to Alaska for both fresh and salt water fishing can be daunting, especially if you don’t know the area at all. With these folks it’s easy as pie. Not only easy to set up but once you get there, everything is sorted out so very meticulously that there is no question. All I had to do was email Pete to see when a good time was, and he laid out the best schedule for the time we requested. This put my mind at such ease. I had the best fishing experience while we were there. I would book it again and again. Their organization was top notch and I appreciate that. The lodging was great in relation to the town and provided a very comfy, clean and fun environment. Seriously I love this couple and I hope to see them again in the future. Thank you!!!

AMAZING Time!!!!!! 5 Stars All the way!!!!All I can say is that this trip goes down in the record books for me!!I was my very first time in Alaska and first time ever fishing for SalmonI stayed in the Alaska Fish Catcher Lodge for the Entire duration of my trip!!!First off the lodge itself is Classy, Extremely Sanitary, Elegant and Comfortable!!The Guide Pete is First class!! -- He put us on the fish 5 days in a row. We limited out EVERY DAY!!. He gave me in depth instructions and tips on how to go about catching these Large crafty Salmon! -- His Boat is the Largest, Newest, and Roomiest on the River.. We fished in comfort and stability all day long!!.... Not only did he arrange for the stay in his lodge and his trips but he also went out of his way to book me on a few Halibut trips out of Homer as well with no benefits to him!!! ... I Now want to return to Alaska Every Year and would love nothing more than to recreate these AWESOME memories that Pete and Alaska Fish Catcher Lodge provided me with --- STRAIGHT As all the way!!!

The lodge is great! The kitchen is amazing if you like to cook your fresh fish. It has everything. The whole place is immaculate. Pete, Eve, and Bryce are fantastic hosts.

I brought my daughter Lisel out for a father / daughter fishing adventure. Pete over exceeded all my expectations. We of course limited out on our silver salmon by 8:11am, and then Pete helped us enjoy the beautiful surroundings by taking us up river, to see some beautiful scenery. It was as very memorable outing that we will never forget!

Just back from Alaska and fishing with Pete for 4 days, along with 5 of my buddies--Pete sure didnt let us down! The fishing was fantastic and every night we were able to enjoy some of our catch at dinner! The lodges kitchen was perfect for our group to prepare our meals. Pete Sparacio, Eve and Bryce were very warm and welcoming, Lodge was very clean and comfortable. Fishing with Pete was a rewarding and learning experience. We stayed there for a week, and pretty much lived in luxury. Pete and Eve were extremely accommodating and took care of everything all we had to do was reel the fish in.

Could not wait to leave a fantastic review! We have been fishing for three days on the river and head to Homer tomorrow for some halibut and king fishing, which is included in our package. We have had a great experience catching our limit of fish each day ln the river with Pete leading the charge. He is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable of where and how to get the best experience based on the ever changing fishing conditions. The lodge and ALL of its amenities are great. We grilled our catch eat night and played a little pool in the evenings. We are already planning our return trip. Thanks Pete and Eve!

The fishing guide Pete is one of the most experienced and well known up here on the Kenai Peninsula, and also makes the day successful and very enjoyable. The lodge is amazingly comfortable and well kept and the food provided goes a long way for helping with planning during the day of fishing. The location of the lodge is exceptional as well, as you are nearby numerous fishing spots that are flowing with the best of Alaska’s salmon and other species. Furthermore, the price you pay with Alaska Fish Catcher is unmatched with anywhere else here in Alaska, as I feel I would have been happy to pay double the price (as you actually do with others). Finally, amenities such as the game room with pool and poker help wind down after a great day of fishing on the river/ sea, and I can’t forget the free beer me and my buds appreciated very much.

Unbelievable few days with Pete and Eve. Found them on Facebook and went in not knowing what to expect. Wow was I impressed. Beautiful lodge that is centrally located to fish the kenai or kasilof rivers. Absolutely perfect trip. So good I rebooked for another trip this September. Would absolutely recommend Pete and Eve and Fish Catcher Lodge.

It’s truly a family business as Pete’s fiancée and son are there as well!I have fished many many times with many many guides and I can say with confidence that Pete Sparacio is not only the hardest working guide but takes his years of knowledge of fishing and teaches you techniques that you can take away with you. He truly cares about giving his clients the best opportunity to catch world class species of Alaska’s biggest and brightest fish. I don’t write many reviews but felt compelled due to the awesome experience we had staying at the lodge and fishing with Pete!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alaska Fish Catchers!!! Pete is so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and gracious. He is very comfortable and confident on the river which put me at ease. The lodge is the CLEANEST PLACE I’ve ever stayed in! Spacious kitchen that is so well accommodated for guests—it has all the amenities! Everything was spotless and comfortable! Loved being on the river and catching those humpy salmon! We are planning our next trip ASAP!!

Alaska Fish Catcher is a great place to relax after a great day of fishing with Pete THE guide at the lodge. The fire pit out in the large back area is very nice with Moose sometimes strolling through and Snowshoe hares nibbling on the grass.

Pete was great! Had a wonderful time on the Kenai catching silvers. Limited out after only a few hours. Highly recommended, great service.

Ive stayed their twice over the last two years. Pete is amazing and the lodge is clean and very well kept and stocked with anything u might need. Totally exceeded our expectations! The lodge is in a beautiful area...beautiful trees everywhere. We were blessed to come in the fall and saw all the aspens (?) changing color everywhere. The picture of the lodge does not do it justice. The kitchen is massive and has everything you could ever need. The interior is drop dead gorgeous! The HUGE mounted fish on the walls made us so excited to go fish! Pete greeted us at the door and showed us all around. His better half Eve also greeted us. What a beautiful couple they make and you can tell she adds a great presence to the beauty of this lodge. Downstairs is a beautiful room with a pool table, poker table ect. We fished for 2 days and caught every Silver that was to be caught. The weather was stunning....Pete made any downtime pleasant with great conversation and knowledge of the fish and the area. His boat is beautiful...he even spoiled me with a heater! We could not have been happier! We can’t wait to come back again!!!!

This guide Pete claims to be full of local knowledge. He lies and uses his ex father in laws info and then fishes recklessly among true locals. His techniques of running over private and other guides fishing lines after he sets in at Bings Landing is disgusting. The best thing he has is a nice boat purchased with money loaned by an out of state partner whom has no idea he is being swindled. As a local Alaska. Whose local family and friends sport and commercial fish I would not only not recommend Pete or his lodge I think he should be shut down and run back out of state where he came from. He illegally takes fish and hides them in his boat. He also keeps clients fish and profits big by keeping and curing their eggs then overcharges clients while claiming local long term residency. Check out his history in Northern California as a tree trimmer and weekend fisherman. His OCD habits are laughable and make staying in his lodge a nightmare at check out. God forbid you use the kitchen or leave valuables there. You might say my stay coat me more than what I paid. Still trying to get some belongings back. Phone calls are avoided and he makes no attempts to correct his mis information. I would also Lou your that all the positive reviews are form his family and extended family. That is pretty pathetic that in 3 years you can’t get a paying customer to write a positive review. Old friends you brought up from the lower 48 really don’t count. Anyone can build a business by taking photos of family they take out to fish. He is laughable at best and a cheat.
