Air Conditioning on 016 Toyota 4 Runner not blowing cold took the SUV in added 3.5oz of coolant and charged over $200 dollars. They found no other issues with AC. My wife said the AC was no better after coolant. I switched out the AC relay with the horn relay AC worked perfect. Ordered a $16.00 horn AC relay replaced it (5 min) problem was solved. Not at all pleased with their diagnostic procedures.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. They truly saved the day for my family and I. We were up here camping when my truck just stopped working. The crew at four star was great as usual. Needed a ride why my truck was being fixed and they took care of me. Answered all my questions before and after. a little bit more pricey than some places but he definitely get what you pay for and dont have to worry about anything repaired on your vehicle.

I have no interest in going anywhere else for car care.Last week, when the steering on my older van seemed to hang up, I dropped into Four Star to ask them to check the power steering fluid. Todd immediately did that, but also cleaned the clogged fluid filter, realized the need for a new power steering pump, and then noticed an old, cracking serpentine belt and a couple of other things. All of those items got fixed yesterday, with Todds amazing expertise and Nates superb ability (and background) to coordinate all aspects of customer concerns and mechanical support.Theyre not only great mechanics, but they care! Wow.

All I wanted was for my tires to be replaced and they kept asking repeatedly if I wanted my oil changed when I already said I was set on that. They were quick about getting the other tires on but, when I came in to pick up my car, immediately they said I needed to replace my brakes/struts and then gave me a quote of $2,000. I replaced my struts little over a year ago and they didn’t even actually look at them. Just looked at my mileage chart and assumed. I never asked for them to look at my brakes/struts. I’m left feeling frustrated with being manipulated into spending money when I don’t need to be. I understand that I need to be doing upkeep on my vehicle but the fact of the matter is, without legitimately checking my vehicle’s parts they were trying to make me replace parts that aren’t necessary yet with expensive quotes.

We limped into town last Friday having lost AC shortly after starting out on Thursday. The lack of AC was an inconvenience, but the rattle under the hood as we pulled into the condo parking lot caused more concern. Unfortunately, everything was closed by then and we decided to spend most of the weekend biking for fear of having a complete breakdown. Monday morning we called Four Star Auto Repair and took the car in for a diagnosis. Lee determined that we could safely drive the car for the day as long as we didnt use the fan. In the meantime, they ordered a new compressor and associated parts. We dropped off the car that night and they had it finished by early afternoon on Tuesday. Nate and Lee were both very helpful and communicated clearly with my partner and me as to what the timing and charges would be. We were very relieved to find such a great shop. They took excellent care of us when we were out of our element, and got us on the road in quick order. Although car repairs were not on our vacation to-do list, Four Star Auto Repair saved the day!

I walked in for an 1100 am appointment for my brake light repair and was on my way home at 1115! They knew it would be a quick job so instead of making me wait or pick it up later they stopped the jobs they were doing and quickly had me on my way! Excellent customer service!

Dropped off my car with Nate and Jeremy for a tune up and oil change. We wanted to make sure it was road worthy for an upcoming trip across the country. They did a thorough inspection and told us what needed fixing now and what could wait. Leaving us with printed and emailed summary of the condition of our car with future recommendations to make sure the car is running great. They communicated promptly and got our car looked at and taken care of sooner than expected. They also love and invest in the local community really well.

Could of easily charged me for a bunch of stuff I didn’t need but told me I needed nothing. Check back in another 10k miles and charged me minimally for their timw. I sent my car in to get the winter tires removed and my summer tires put on, when I got it back it seemed fine until I heard a new rattling noise while driving so I pulled over to see the problem and one of my back tires was on so loose that it was wobbling and causing the noise so I fixed it and Im just dissapoimted the mechanics cant put a tire on correctly never coming here again

I came here with a coupon for an oil change and knew that I would be up-sold on other things, as that’s what most repair shops do! However, the guys at Four Star were super professional and did not make me feel pressured. They explained to me what they saw and why I might want to consider having a couple of things changed out, but there was no insistence or badgering. In addition, I felt super comfortable asking questions, they were so knowledgeable and kind. I was towing my camper to Pearl Lake and my alternator went out. I had my three kids and wife. I needed to get back to Fort Collins at the end of the weekend. I called on a Friday night before memorial day weekend. Todd answered the phone and even though they werent open on the weekend made an exception because I was in such a bind. He had my vehicle fixed by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. He even drove out to Pearl Lake and picked me up. Charged a fair price and the vehicle runs great. Todd really went above and beyond I am so grateful for his help. I would highly recommend Four Star to anyone in need of a mechanic.

I took my severely neglected vehicle in to Four Star to make an appointment this week because it was running very rough. Instead of simply making me an appointment, Todd stopped what he was doing, opened up the hood, diagnosed the problem, and got it temporarily fixed until I could bring it in later in the day. I was BLOWN AWAY, by Todds customer service. Ultimately, I agreed to $1250 of maintenance work on my vehicle, which I WOULD NEVER HAVE AGREED TO, had it not been for my initial experience with Todd. Four Star has earned my future business, but I will be disappointed if Todd isnt running the shop soon.

Honesty. Brought my van in thinking I was due for brakes. They inspected them and said they were good. Finally many miles later brought it in all it needed was fronts (100,000 miles) . Went back 5000 miles later. They inspected rears still good. They could have replaced them and I wouldnt have known. I appreciate their professionalism and honesty. Will be back for the rear brakes when needed.

Great job at fixing the wobble in my tires

RADIATOR/HEATER HOSE CONNECTOR REPLACEMENT:So two service persons gave me two different stories as to what should be done. First mechanic, in five minutes, suggested he replace two hoses connecting to heater core. Next day, second service person tells me a “connector “ must be replaced, that they already have spent 1/2 hr on diagnosis, that the connector will cost $65 and total time will be 1 1/2 hrs @ $130/hr. That’s about $260. First, I don’t understand how a five minute analysis turned into 30 minutes, and second how the installation of a connector and a system pressure test could take a mechanic an hour given it’s nothing more than attaching the pressure gauge and starting the car. Also NAPA sells the connector for $12. They charged me $65.Final Analysis; I will not use this repair shop again

Went here twice, once for an O2 sensor and oil change and once for brake repair and a coolant resevoir replacement. Theyre extremely friendly, called me with prices before actually repairing and could squeeze me in when other places in town wouldve taken a week or more to get in. Both times my car was ready by the next day. Havent had any problems with anything theyve fixed.

I was in a bit of a bind today because both my tail light and my headlight decided to go out within a few hours of each other. I work long hours and I was only able to come during my lunch. My truck broke down while I was in town on vacation, they were able to get it repaired in one afternoon so I could leave town on time. So you know theyre not just telling you something needs to be replaced, you can see the proof of everything they checked and everything thats wearing out or needs replacing.

Dont take your vehicle here worse mechanic Ive ever dealt with seemed nice when I took my car in. Had lots of work needing done, took over a month for them to get done. Almost $2000 dollars out of pocket, couple days later a wheel bearing went out. So he says I changed on bearing but not the other, why change one and not the other if youre a good mechanic all that does is put pressure on the other to make it go out. Never will I take my vehicle to him again and if you car about your vehicle I advise not taking it to 4 star auto more like 1 star auto
