RJs recently catered an event off-site for an event our local chapter was hosting, and we were very pleased! The food was absolutely delicious, and the servers could not have been nicer or more efficient. All at a very reasonable price! We received many compliments from our guests, who came from across South Georgia. Thank you so much, RJs, for helping us make our special day even more special!

Great food

The staff is wonderful and very polite. It has a very comfortable atmosphere. I was greatly impressed with the dinner menu, but the Saturday breakfast buffet is all your basic mediocre breakfast items. Although, it is a very reasonably priced buffet- $7.75. I will definitely be back :)

Reservations were not accepted for Thanksgiving which resulted in overcrowding and long lines. 45+ minutes to be seated. Another 30 minutes waiting in line at the all-you-can-eat buffet meant that by the time you finished your first plate you didnt want to go back for a second. Additionally, there were several dishes on the buffet that were empty or only had scraps left.On the plus side, the food and service were good. Overall, I would have preferred to come on a less busy day; Im sure that would have been a better experience.

We were passing through from Baltimore and just wanted some decent sit down food. We called ahead as we have dietary restrictions and they were super nice and answered our questions.We decided to eat dinner there.Jessica, our server, was absolutely amazing. Top notch. She was really personable and sweet; quick and efficient.The food, too....amazing. Hot and homey. I recommend the fried fish blue plate.Phenomenonal guys, well done.

The food was wonderful, the servings plentiful, the prices great,and the staff were friendly. The service was exceptional. Heidi was a great waitress.

We had a Christmas work party there. There was about 12 of us. We were stuck in this whole section of the restaurant. It was so small we barely had room to sit and when someone wanted to go to the bathroom the everyone on that side had to move. The sad part about it all is, the restaurant was virtually empty, there was no reason for us to be there. Then it was so hot, extremely hot we ended up opening the window. I would really consider going back.

Great Sunday lunch Buffet. Most of the waitresses have been there a while and give you a level of service you cant find elsewhere in town. Rose might be the best.

There has been a lot of changes with new ownership. But the food is good and the waitress was awesome. Her name was Diamond, she was very sweet, pleasant friendly and had a great personality

They charged me for a Sunday breakfast. It was old rubbery eggs, greasy bacon, greasy sausage, tough old biscuits. I would have had better food at a fast food restaurant. I usually over eat at a buffet and I wasnt even tempted. I

Our first visit here. We had a group of 8 with teens. They sat us immediately. Pleasant atmosphere. Great service, good food, especially the steak. Price was fair. Worth the stop.

A local landmark with food once made 100% from scratch. But a recent ownership change has taken a little shine off this apple. Still overall good but no longer the stellar restaurant it was at least not yet.

Normally I enjoy dining at RJs, but tonight was a different story. The service was slow, she didnt keep an eye on our drinks, we had to get it our selves. I had 6 oz Sirloin, which was the size of a 3 oz, the shrimp were good, my baked potato was burnt on the outside and hard and cold on the inside. I dont plan on dining there again. I had a party of 11 and 6 of us were dissatisfied.

The more I taste the more disappointed I become. The buffet is not good. Cube staek was cooked in old chicken grease. Mac and cheese is basically just Mac. The gravy is god awful! Grease,milk, water, flour,salt,pepper.... Figure it out. Never, will I ever again.

Rajs tends to be more popular with the older crowd. Their food is really delicious, but dont go here expecting a drink. They dont serve alcohol.

We had a late lunch here recently so it was not very busy...food was mediocre. The real problem was as we were walking across parking lot, we were stopped by server( not the one who served us) and accused of not paying! I explained that we had paid the server that waited on our table...after checking, we were told that she did not clear it in the computer. Thanks for embarrassing me! We will probably not be back!

This is definitely not the RJs of old. They are discombobulated and the food is not as good. I understand they changed ownership but the service and quality of food went with Randy.The crab dip was so greasy we had to pour the grease out onto the plate. They gave my son out of date salad dressing from Aug of last year. So disappointed. I asked for med well and got med rare meat. Yuck! Nothing worse than eating and realize your meat has blood in it.

Great food and atmosphere. Food can take some time to get out if they are full(duh). Overall good experience.

We went on Sunday for their lunch buffet which is a little overpriced. They have a hard time meeting the demand for the amount of food needed for a busy after church crowd. The food and service was good.

The food was great! The crabby portobello starter was the best Ive had! Lots of crab meat. Only gave a four star because no full bar.

Called ahead and asked if cream corn was on the buffet (5 minutes ahead, so I doubt anything changed within that time), the female who answered was kind of rude, because I was specific and asked was she sure they had creamed corn and not cornon the cob or off the cob. She said Maam, its creamed corn ok. U got there less than 5 minutes later, NO creamed corn, it was corn off the cob!!!!! I was going to go to Longhorns if they didnt have creamed corn, too late now! I already ordered my drink and hubbys already fixed his plate! Food was more salty than usual. I will visit this location less now because of this experience!!!!

No longer open for regular restaurant business. I expect it to be closed soon. And that is okay with me. It has been badly mismanaged by the current owner. A sad loss to faithful customers.

RJs used to be a fantastic place to eat in Statesboro. I have lots of fond memories of eating here as a child every Sunday from elementary school up into high school. Since the RJs was sold, the owners have changed many things, but the most significant difference is the drop in quality while increasing the prices. I keep going back and trying to give it another shot, but they keep failing. One time my chicken wasnt cooked all the way through, another time I asked for a medium steak and got well-done. Service is hit or miss. I think its safe to say RJs was a great place to eat, but now dont waste your time or money.

I think the price of 15 Dollars a person was a little high for what we ate. Service was good . I was disapointed that the roast beef was over cooked ( no hint of any red meat) but it tasted alright the other food we ate was good

I just love RJS Grill. It is a local Statesboro special. Their signature event is their Southern Sunday Buffet serving typical Southern fare with turkey and homemade dressing, fried chicken, Southern vegetables, homemade casseroles (squash, broccoli, sweet potato), a small salad bar and a dessert bar. This restaurant truly should not be missed in Statesboro.

Slow service. We were ignored for the first 30 minutes after we arrived. Server reeked of cigarette smoke. Hard to enjoy with lingering smell in the air.

Foods okay. Way too much salt in it though, and what even is their cornbread??

I was so sad to hear this place was closing, but I was also worried when they announced a new owner was purchasing it instead. However, the new owner has done a fantastic job and the restaurant is as good as ever.
