Use to be my favorite gym before they started harassing woman if an inch of their stomach showed or if they deemed normal shorts in 90 degree weather “too short”, the same shorts professors have no issue with you wearing. But don’t worry if you are a cheerleader or a guy you can wear whatever you want.
This place has become a nightmare. Can’t even drink water without being threatened to get kicked out. If I didn’t have to pay the fees I promise I will would never come here again.
Good place to work out but sometimes there are too many people and the machines are always occupied.
Please work on the Lifeguards not ridiculing people coming to swim. I watched female and male Lifeguards laugh and point at a young lady trying to enjoy a swim.
Love this place, especially the Aquatics Center!
Come here to swim every week. Chlorine levels very high in hottub.
I love coming here to exercise or play sports or anything active! They have plenty of workout machines, almost any sport equipment you can think of, and a great pool and spa. Staff is always friendly and ready to help.
Everyone in here makes me wish the Army let me take roids
Great place to get your burn on. Tons of machines to target hard to reach muscles. Lots of recreational activities to do like a basketball court and lots of rooms for anything really.
This place is the absolute best building on campus. They have an Olympic swimming pool, an indoor and outdoor hot tub, sauna, gym, indoor track, rock climbing, and basketball courts. You could literally spend the whole day there and you wouldnt be bored. They even have a smoothie bar.
Amazing facilities with almost any machine/activity you can think of. Lap pool, leisure pool, track, multipurpose exercise rooms, fairly new equipment and plenty of space.
Great place to workout, especially if you are a student. Full time students get a RAC pass with their tuition so why not use it? The indoor pool is amazing and oddly enough, usually fairly empty.
This is a wonderfull place for students to exercise and is well equipped with great machines. The only problem is with the staff and upper management that work here. America Minc the director of facilities and fitness and Carson Petersheim Facility operations manager are both rude and stuck up snobs that think there to good for any one, when ever u complain about something there they just ingore u and dont do anything about it. again this is a great place to work out at as a student but be aware the people that work at this place and run this place including the student workers do not care about the people that come here.
Top notch facility available to Georgia Southern Students, Faculty and Staff. One of its kind. A great asset to the student body.
Greta workout equipment and really nice facility. Only issue is the parking lot is restricted for people with parking passes but there is a free parking lot about .25 miles away.
The staff member by the name of Hannah did one of the most racist things I’ve seen in years. She made a group of African Americans get off of the basketball court. Giving the explanation that other people were playing on it which was not true. Once she made us get off the court she raised the goals. Not 2 minutes later she approached a group of white males on another court and proceeded to tell them to get on the court she made us get off. She then lowered one goal for them to play on and refused to lower both goals until we left. Even though she told us we did nothing wrong.
Best facilities. Lot to do. The basketball courts and climbing walls are really really good.
Favorite place to play basketball and throw the football around. Two state of the art courts outside and a ton of open fields to play anything from baseball to soccer on and theres usually a bunch of things going on. Theres also a cool sand volleyball court to play in. And most of it stays lit up late into the night. All of that is before you even take into account the indoor portion (open to GSU students and their visitors only): which includes at least half a dozen basketball courts, a massive gym, rock climbing walls, an olympic size pool, and even an indoor track to run on. One of the best percs of going to school at Southern and an awesome place to hang out in Statesboro.
Its the RAC, no more no less. Well equipped to say the least.
Great place to burn some calories and get good gains
Beautiful facility. If you are attending GSU, I highly recommend you go. Every sport you can imagine, and even a huge 40+ foot climbing wall. 2 pools, weights, glassed racquet ball rooms and so much more.
Probably best workout destination for the Georgia southern campus students.
This is a superb place. Directions though: should say Georgian University Rec because it pops up wrong on the GPS bouncing around having you circle around the university. If coming southernly on rt. 67 which is Fair Road heading north, you will take a left onto Veteran Memorial Parkway and right onto Akins Blvd and a left into the parking lot. If coming from north bound you can go south on Rt. 73 South Main Street, pass the light at Tillman Rd., go past Parish and next left into Old Register Rd, take a right inside the circle, bear left at the Y road which is Forest Drive and make a right onto Akins Boulevard and you are to the front of the building.
If youre a Georgua Southern student, this is probably the best student fee youll pay for. Always clean, friendly staff and awesome group fitness classes!
The best place in this city. Great people, awesome equipments. Overall, anybody who gets the opportunity to should utilizethe RAC.
Adequate machines and great place to workout for both students and staff. 5 stars
The lady at the front desk was very rude to me. She did not smile when talking to me and was not friendly at all.
Refs need some work but great program to get active in.
I want to be a student so I can attend here and have access to this awesome Rec center
Great staff and well funded and supplied with all manner of exercise equipment.
Looks nice, I only was in here.to go to the stem fair. I didnt actually use the facility.
Indoor/ outdoor basketball, football, soccer, inside:( wall climbing, track, wall tennis, zumba, bike riding, gym, pool, weight room) very up to date and very clean place.
Hot tub and great work out facility

They have everything from large, open workout areas for weight training, an indoor track for running and calisthenics, indoor ball courts, swimming pools with a sauna, and even rock climbing!
Too many people. too few machines.
Everything was clean, although it was crowded service went well.
Theres plenty of sports and sport like activities there.
