Price for taxes was not given up front, not even estimated. Richard had my taxes for over a month and would not return my calls. Im still not sure if I have to mail in my local taxes because he didnt say anything. Im on my own to figure that out. I will not be using H&R block EVER again.

My taxes were quickly prepared and I have confidence that they are accurate. I had a quick discussion to get advice on amount of tax I am withholding for an IRA annual disbursement and if I should increase the percentage next year. The discussion was short but very informative and I really welcomed the advice. I also really, really appreciate the tax guarantee in case I get audited- this happened to me once (through no fault of H&R block) and the tax analysts fixed the issue quickly and with no fuss. Since I have been moving often in the last few years, I like that I can go to an H&R block in any state and they have my old taxes on file plus, everyone is well versed in filing after moving across state boarders.

The price of the service was out of my budget but this year it was worth it since my taxes were giving me trouble and Robertas help made it so I now have a positive return and have filed all my taxes and know everything is taken care of.

ERIN KONCOSKIThe reason why anyone pays someone else to file your tax returns is because you are too lazy AND/OR you just dont know how the system works and dont know the tips and tricks to not getting screwed. Now, the employees at H&R block know the tips and tricks but decide to not help you out like your friendly neighbor and instead file the easiest way for them and let you pay for their lack of effort. Youre better off doing it yourself.

After years of struggling through our taxes myself, I finally broke down and went to H&R Block. I was kind of skeptical about having a chain store do our taxes but ended up being super happy with the experience. Our tax preparer was extremely friendly and went out of her way to be helpful. It was a huge relief to have someone with experience take care of this intimidating task for us for once and I feel it was worth the money.

I seriously could have trained the employee I saw at H&R Block. I had problems filing myself because of a corporate return K-1 form. This guy had no clue. He fumbled around the navigation screen, entered a few fields with the wrong information (good thing I was paying attention), missed entering other information and I had to point out a few hard IRS facts. I never received a privacy notice or any information about how much their service would cost. After they entered my W2 info and took my drivers license I realized that they NOW had ALL of my vital info including ss#, name, birth date, address, license info, etc. Scary. I told them that I was better off completing my taxes myself, gathered my documents and left. BUT, they have all of my personal information. If zero stars was an option, that would be my score.

The lady who did our tax entries was extremely skillful and swift in dealing with all information and entries needed and very engaging her manner of informing and advising us as she proceeded, giving us full confidence that all actions were correctly done.
