I fled a domestically violent relationship, which caused me to be homeless with three kids. I called this particular location for help and or advice. The lady I spoke with was incredibly ignorant and belittling. Now that Im finally in a good place with my children, I wouldnt dream of donating a cent to this place! They should be ashamed of themselves for how they speak to others.
Ladies are very friendly and helpful.
There are plenty of places to donate where you dont have to talk to some rude we are NOT a thrift store lady. Youre better off donating goods elsewhere, because this snippy comment is what you get when you try to ask about how and what you can donate.
They are very helpful to the center region.
To my knowledge the Salvation Army should take mattresses to be reused or recycled. I called to ask and the lady was very rude informing me that “ they sent a thrift store”. No duh lady, I was calling to see if y’all would take a used mattress as the national site said you should.
Good place to go when you need a food or clothing voucher...Also can help with some bills..
Not a store.
Took a donation of at least 6 brand new winter coats to this location and was greated at the door by a woman who said “we are not a thrift store”. There was a can along the side of this location where we placed the items for those in need during these single digit temperatures. I felt the woman in the office was rude and could have simply stated donations need to be dropped in the can around the side of the building.
I tried calling to ask for help In a hard time and I was rudely turned away saying they would not help. I was referred to salvation army by a few people who said they where good about helping... apparently thats NOT the case.Several factors? I was asked nothing...just told NO! In a very rude mannor.
