He answered every question I had (and there were a lot), and if he didnt know the answer, he found out in minutes. He always responds to emails and is very good at making sure you are happy with your decision. He is definitely the guy you want to deal with if you want to make something happen. Scott is also valuable to have on your team. He has years of experience and knows how to find what you are looking for. Plus, he is a good conversationalist.Product: Kranichs has an extensive selection, so much so that it seems endless. Even though they can not fit half of their selection in the store, they have stacks of catalogs, and their online site is very useable and includes prices. I had them make two custom rings, and they drew them up in CAD and had them finished in less than two weeks. The rings were made with white gold and came out just as we imagined. I even had them draw up a ring that I had pictured in my head, and only from my description, they drew that exact ring. Their ring maker Jess is truly exceptional. Anything you want just how you want it is no problem for Kranichs.Aftermath: We were left with absolutely beautiful and well-crafted rings and a certainty that they will be taken care of with Kranichs protection plan. A few weeks ago, I went in looking for a wedding band to go with my engagement ring. Lisbeth found me the most perfect band! It was better than I could have imagined. We got my wifes engagement ring and our wedding rings at Kranichs on North Atherton. The staff was very friendly and receptive to our needs. They are very knowledgeable and patiently walked us through the process of picking out the perfect diamond for my wifes ring. I want to thank Lisbeth for helping me today. Recently I have been purchasing my new jewelry from Kranichs. I have found that they have excellent service and the best diamonds around. Today I brought in a piece of jewelry that I had purchased years ago from a different jeweler who is no longer in business. I brought it to Kranichs in State College and asked for an estimate to repair the item. The on-site jeweler looked at the item and repaired it while I waited, and at no cost! Kailey is AMAZING! I took an anniversary band that needed 2 diamonds replaced and she wouldnt settle until she felt like she had the most comparable diamonds to the rest of the band. Kranichs is hands down the best jeweler I’ve been to and worked with. Their customer service is above and beyond and they continue to follow up with their customers long after you’ve picked up your piece. Stephanie is absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend working with her more. My husband got my engagement ring at Kranichs and naturally I reached out to them for my wedding band. I wanted something more unique than the accompanying band and to add a layer of difficulty, I reside in Virginia. COVID hit and I was not able to get up to Kranichs to view any pieces in person but Stephanie didn’t bat an eye at the hurtle. Not only did she send me pictures of different bands they had in store but she sent comparison pictures against the engagement ring sample to make sure they looked good. With Stephanie’s help I found the perfect wedding band from two states away and she followed up on my wedding day with a congratulations and a monogrammed ornament at Christmas. A final note, their service plan is fantastic and any work or repairs are done quickly but thoroughly. Sorry for the lengthy praise but I can’t say enough good things. Ive used the North Atherton Kranichs location two times within the last 12 months and have been equally happy with both visits. I asked them to make a custom pendant out of a coin from a vintage bracelet. They made my vision turn out even better than I could have imagined. They reinforced the coin with a backing inside of a bezel setting. The piece was ready in a timely fashion and they treated me well while I was there. Most recently I purchased a ring second hand from a customer who had a care plan on a ring and they kindly transferred the jewelry into my name from the previous owner so that I could get my new jewelry serviced. I love their estate jewelry case ; always a good variety of styles.

I dont typically write reviews unless I have a stellar experience, but in this case I thought I would make an exception. Ive purchased jewelry for my wife in the past at Kranichs in Altoona. Always a good experience. I had several pieces stored in a safe and thought with gold prices at a good level, I would go see what they were worth. I was in State College so went to the store on Atherton St. Long story short, they offered me about pennies on the dollar of what the scrap gold price was after taking over an hour for the appraisal. I packed up and left.Ive never done this before, so maybe I just received a quick education. Rest assured, I wont be buying any more jewelry from any Kranichs store after this experience.Update-Sorry Mr. Kranich but deflecting my main point about you offering pennies on the dollar for 14k, 18k and 24k gold was the issue. Had nothing to do with the quality of the merchandise. And by the way, the last piece I did buy from Kranichs had the hasp break after it being worn three times. So, Kranichs quality on a $1500 necklace was sub par as well.I still stand by my original review in that Kranichs took an hour of my time to offer me next to nothing on the same type of estate jewelry you are selling for hundreds of dollars a piece.

New to the area from San Diego and decided to drop in to look at their Rolex stock. Sarrand is very courteous and respectful of a potential customer. Though they did not have the model I wished to purchase, he took my name down and mentioned he would do try his best to hunt one down for me. Hopeful to be a customer here soon enough!

Ive been buying jewelry here for my wife since our engagement in 2013. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Ive been very satisfied with Kaileys help over the years. She has been able to understand my needs and help show me pieces that fit my wifes taste.

I reached out via email with a concept and Kranichs completely blew my expectations out of the water. Kailey and her team took what I described/sent over and gave me something better than I really imagined (at a better price). They were timely in what probably is their busiest time of year, answered any and all questions I had promptly, and were fantastic throughout the entire process. My now-fiance loves her ring more than I think she imagined and that is thanks in large part to Kranichs.

From the moment I connected with Kailey, I was handled with top-notch customer service and professionalism. She is a definite asset to Kranichs and the reason we return because we can expect no less than the best from her. She totally went out of her way, without out knowing, to find a replacement watch for me. My original watch had stopped working, and the availability of the parts needed for repair was unlikely due to the fact that the watch was discontinued by the manufacturer. It was heartbreaking news. Kailey then first offered what was available in their stores for replacement, and upon not finding a similar style or value, she took it upon herself to find and purchase the watch from a different vendor. She didnt have to do that,and we were unaware of the lengths she was taking. On behalf of Kranichs, she provided a great service by treating us as valued customers, like only we mattered. We love Kaileys professional, personalized service and great attention to her customers satisfaction. Its what keeps us coming back!

Ben Nelson truly loves his job. If he doesnt have what you want he can do a custom design or keep and eye out in his travels. He as found some very unique pieces for me.

I have now purchased two Rolex watches and a replacement diamond wedding band for my wife’s 20th wedding anniversary. I thought now was a good time to write about my experience with this jeweler and it’s staff. First let me say Brian has been super responsive to all of my needs, requests and questions. I have found that they have a good selection of Rolex models readily available and their jewelry is priced fair too. For my latest purchase I needed something a little custom in a ring and had a specific time line I needed it by. Brian not only delivered it on time but the ring was exactly as he described it would be. Looking forward to many more years of great service from this fine jeweler!

My fiance and I live in Colorado and had looked at so many rings out here.(we’re originally from State College) Kranichs had a great reputation and working with Kailey remotely was SO easy! Even through email she was patient and professional! And after the ring was bought she still answered every question we had in such a timely kind manner! Kranichs is really a premier jewelry store. A wonderful selection, including unique estate items and Penn State jewelry. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful without pressuring you just to make a sale. We especially like working with Christina, she is awesome!

My husband and I recently relocated to State College from Chicago. We are in the market for a diamond anniversary band. We have a quote to make the ring from our jeweler in Chicago, but went to Kranichs to see their options in hopes of finding a new local jeweler. The Kranichs salesman was very rude and condescending as we described what we wanted. He laughed when we asked if they custom make their pieces, replying anything can be ordered (more like a mall chain jewelry store). He then became combative when we told him the price of the comparable ring we had from our Chicago jeweler claiming I can beat any price. Why would we trust a saleman who initially quoted us a 40% higher price? We hoped that in moving to a small town we would encounter honest, customer service-oriented business. This, unfortunately, was not the case at Kranichs! We will be taking our jewelry needs elsewhere.

Worked with Christina to pick out a non-traditional engagement ring. She was so helpful with options and was very patient while I made my important decision. She even showed us options for wedding bands for when we are ready for them so I could get an idea of what would match before I committed to a ring. Im so happy with my ring and I look forward to returning for the wedding band!

I had no idea where to go to find a ring, but Im glad that I came across Kranichs Jewelers. I ultimately had help designing and planning an engagement ring that was within my budget and even managed to incorporate diamonds donated by my grandmothers. Throughout the entire two month process, I worked one-on-one with Scot, a sales associate at the store. He helped design, edit, and create my ring. He offered me a free CAD of the design of the ring, so I could see a realistic picture of it before it was made. He expedited the resizing process after I proposed, and even appraised the ring, so that I can get it insured. I was weary that I would be taken advantage of at a jeweler, but Kranichs made the process and the ring mine.

Kailey Kunes is the best in the business, and the only gal we will buy jewelry from. She is extremely knowledgeable and her prices are WAY LOWER than anyone else!
