The Beaver Ave branch is still temporarily closed, but I got a call back from Hertz and was able to rent a car from their airport branch. A little inconvenient since I had to take an Uber to the airport, but the car was fine.

They have horrible customer service. It was a very uncomfortable experience. You can definitely go to other places to spend your time money.

Poor customer service! When confirming reservation, they failed to disclose all of their requirements. No alternatives were offered. Just, yeah so? Thats the rules. Took my business elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND HERTZ.

Booked a car months ahead of time only to find out that this Beaver Street location in State College, PA is closed and the other Hertz in the area does not work with customers who book thru this location. There were no other rental cars available in State College so I had to get an Uber to Altoona, my next destination on my trip. This was very expensive. It took me 4 more days to be able to book another car from another agency after yet again booking another car through Hertz in Altoona to again find out when I got there that the location was abandoned. Will not be renting through Hertz again. Horrible customer service. No follow up for online booking when the locations and cars do not even exist.

Absolutely terrible experience. Over priced and ridiculous fees. Front counter employee had a bad attitude and was rude. Don’t rent from here, Enterprise is much better.

The best car rental that I could ask for in this small town. It is right at the downtown and offers the students the best rate that they could ask for. They are nice and approachable. I like their service so far. John and Jamie are very friendly and make the whole rental experience awesome. If you are thinking where else to get a car, dont think twice. They are the one.

This is the second time I am dealing with this Hertz office and one of many many times I am dealing with a rental car office. This Hertz office service is just great. No hassle, no hidden fees. Also, you dont need a credit card to pay. A debit card is sufficient.One issue for me was that I reserved a full size car but then I got an economic one. It wasnt a big deal since I was alone this time and I just reserved because there was no difference in price.Having a close rental office from campus and knows that majority of its customers is students and making the renting process as easy as it is now is a great reason to deal with this office.Definitely, Ill deal with them again.

John is helpful with providing the information and pretty cool with giving out deals for students like me. Underage fee from other car rentals is just a pain. Underage fee waiver, reasonable price and good customer service are why make them the first choice in my mind for car rental. Keep up the good deals and great services.

Great customer service! Literally watched this young man take his time to explain everything to the customer ahead of me. They spoke very broken English, however John made them comfortable through the entire transaction.Another thing I found great was, he did not pressure them for the insurance sales. They said no, he did not go any further.When it was my turn, he was just as exceptional.If your looking for a great rental at a great price, in addition to a convenient location. First, I prepaid online with my debit. When I got there, found out you can’t use a debit, so I put on a credit card. Now, I have 2 complete charges... one on debit from Hertz Corp. and One from this 3rd party Hertz... OHHH the phone calls to try to get my original debit money back!!! UGH Then, the car was filled up with gas at the closet Sheetz gas station on the way to the airport (being this airport is out in the corn fields) WELL, they charged my card another 15.00 for a gallon of gas!!! HOW PETTY... it must have been to the tippy top. NEVER AGAIN, Rent from Avis or National, they are 2 steps from Hertz!!

I have rented cars from Hertz on multiple occasions and I find that their rates are very reasonable and their customer service is excellent. John is an excellent guy and explains about the different plans in great detail. If anyone wants to rent a car, Id definitely suggest Hertz.

This is the best place to rent cars. Hertz always provides the best customer service and also values old customers. They also don’t charge an underage fee for people aged under 25. I always come to this branch and would highly recommend leasing from them.

PRAY that you dont have to call in they never answer the phone. Dont waste your time leaving a voicemail either because thatll go unanswered as well

This is THE place to rent if youre underage. Unfortunately I discovered this place my last semester, otherwise Id be renting from here 24/7. It is an extremely seamless process with no underage fee, very reasonable prices, and they even take debit cards as payment. Rent from here and you wont regret it.

I would like to say thank you for being at State college and provide such great and convenient service to students. Cars are very clean and runs no problem, easy to get on hands just by a simple call. Would like to renbt from here again.

Horrible service. I had a reservation for 3 pm. The agent Denise left a note at the door. Did not answer a single call and did not return until 4:45. Neither Denise or Hertz customer service provided any compensation. This is what you get when you prepay to reserve a car!

Call and ask about the special promotions and how to save up to 20% off of your rental! No underage fees for age 21+. Credit Cards AND Debit Cards are accepted. Lowest Prices in town!!!

New cars, none were clean. Representative said there wasn’t a way to vacuum inside. Will need to ask for car cleaning ahead of time.

Phenomenal, had a great car when I needed it, and gave me a discount to skip the interior vacuum, no underage fee was a huge plus as well. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They went out of the way to figure out the best rate for a long-term rental, and were very accommodating of all my requests.

Called to get basic info, could barely here him. Talked so fast I didnt know who I called. Then as I asked about larger vehicle--all they have are Toyotas. Why no larger cars these days. Who wants to be cramped up while driving for hours!! Also when I started to talk, he was either talking over me or asking someone else a question, which means hes NOT LISTENING!! What is that with businesses always talking over you instead of listening. It sounded like he wasnt holding the phone or something, cuz the whole conversation was hard to hear him. I will NEVER call again.

We were going to rent a car to go to our Police Academy in another state when we got to the rental agency we were hit with huge security deposits that we were not told about before this, downgraded cars twice with no change in price and met with snide remarks. Weve experienced companies jerking us around but never this bad, thank you for ruining our careers.You have lied about renting to 19 to 20 year olds as enterprise has rented to us at 20 years old.You downgraded us a Camry is not comparable to a chrysler 200 or a Jeep Renegade.You are very argumentative towards your customers as shown in your reply and do not deserve anyones bussiness

The names provided, Im SURE never rented from this location or at the Airport location.I have NEVER had an issue at either location.... everI have NEVER been sold or pressured into buying anything I dont needI have NEVER had an ignorant rep at either locationYes, this location is in a garage. But, let me ask you this. If they werent downtown, where would you rent from? Enterprise will not rent to anyone who is 19 or 20.These negative comment are seriously unbelievable. I will meet any of you face to face to discuss this matter, and have a debate with you about how these two locations operate.Dont forget to take your Enterprise name tag off though.

Low price in town Not really. Bad customer service. Things go wrong all over the place. I was charged an extra day for no reason. One friend got charged for insurance, but he never asked for it. Another one friend initially got charged for gas even though he signed up for prepaid fuel. When he called, they dropped all charges, including the prepaid fuel charge. Wrong both ways.

Sorry, we do not have any vehicle for you. A reservation does not guarantee a car. Need I say more?
