Great customer service, recommend the brush wash. Truck looks amazing post-wash. Would highly recommend and will be back again soon!
Excellent service - exceeded expectations! Super professional staff! Worth every penny!
AWESOME Car Wash to be using in State College. I love that they offer the Unlimited Car Wash Packages. Its well worth it. Me and 3 others are on my plan, and each additional car you add, the more you save. I highly recommend using Redline for your Car Washing / Detailing / Vacuuming needs in State College, PA!
Went over for a wash earlier today. Paid for the deluxe wash with the free 2 day speed wash voucher.Instead I received the speed wash. I also did receive a receipt for some reason.I called them as I was driving back home to explain the situation. The receptionist was very courteous and helpful. She looked up the transaction and explained that someone else had backed out and there may have been a technical error.Long story short, I drove back and she gave me a 20$ wash card for the inconvenience. Not often am I surprised or impressed. This time I received complete satisfaction !Bravo Red Line Speed Shine !!!!!
Takes credit cards! Finally. Good spot to wash motorcycles and cars.
Best car wash in Centre County love the LED lights
My family and I just got back from their first ever haunted car wash. It was an awesome time complete with ice cream and cool costumes. We hope they do it again next year!As far as their car washes go, I trust Tom and Amy with all my car wash and detailing needs. They are a family-owned and operated business that take immense pride in their customer service and quality car wash needs.
Nice carwash didnt get our car completely clean tho.
Originally went for a automatic wash. Tried to pay with a credit card but the reader didnt pick up any of my cards. So I used the self wash. Hardly any soap! Wasnt work my money!
Good service and quality work.
The automatic wash can do a poor job cleaning/rinsing rear hatchback glass directly below any type of spoiler. This could be corrected by hand drying but the past few times I went, this service wasnt provided.
The Germ Buster Treatment at the North Atherton location is truly amazing! My car looks and feels brand new every time I leave! This is truly the best place to get your car detailed or even just washed in State College! My waiting room was extremely pleasant and I was able to get some work done as well as they have FREE WIFI! I wish I could give my service more than 5 stars because all I can say is WOW and THANK YOU !!
I absolutely loved it ❤😍♥💕💖 trucks shiny and cleaned up well best bang for your buck!
Hello there! So you are looking for a place to wash and detail your car in State College? Please, do yourself a favor and scratch RedLine SpeedShine off your list. Long story short, this place charged me $180 to “High Speed Buff” my car, but it was more like “High Speed Scratch” my car. My vehicle looked worse when it came out than before I dropped it off. Worst of all, they refused to issue me a refund to the point where I had to get my credit card company involved. Both Tom and Amy, the owners of this business, show a complete lack of professionalism and respect. Definitely will not be coming back to this business (any of their 3 locations). Please see attached pictures/screenshots of my car after the “high-speed buff”.
I brought my SUV in to get detailed since I am trading it in and it was covered in tree sap. I dropped my car off at 8am and picked it up at 4:30ish. I think I paid about $275 and booked the appointment online. There’s an up charge for an SUV.My car looked... AMAZING! They got all of the tree sap off the paint, even the roof! They did such an amazing job that I almost want to keep my car because of how amazing it looks- inside and out!!I will definitely be going to them for my other car!!
I did the self car wash. Usually everything is filled up as far as the supplies coming out of the wand, but the rain x was a very low pressure little stream that barely did anything and ran down a lot of time, and the blue foam stains my hands and my shirt and it hides in places even if you rinse good so then the blue liquid ends up running down places and that obviously doesn’t look good when it dries on. Also didn’t see any trash cans which is nice to have when you clean your car because obviously you’re cleaning the car. The wax option which I’m guessing is the triple conditioner was out of liquid as nothing came out when I switched it to that option and held the trigger even with waiting a like 20 seconds.
After the touch free automatic wash didn’t clean mud off the car, the owner washed the car again to make sure the car was clean. Great service !
Bought a month unlimited package from red line, loved my car after wash. Will be back often :)
The wash job was the best my truck looked awesome when it came out the other side!!
I like their self car wash bays especially during winters when you can close the doors and wash the car. All the options worked for me when I was there, the only thing I noticed was that water pressure was low.
These Redline car wash facilities are really amazing! I personally think that they are as good as it gets for washing your car, truck, or SUV. I go to a lot of different areas and no other place compares to Redline. I call them Redroof for apparent reasons. What Redline has is always working products, always working equipment, always heated bays in the winter. Yes HEATED bays...that is awesome when its 10 degrees out.My personal favorite is behind the sheetz on benner Pike. It has less hard water spots. The other 2 make⁷fd them out. I know u wont want to go to any other place
*customer service was very nice and offered a rewash when my car didn’t come out fully clean
Do not get the soap on you bc it will stain everything it touches ..I dont know how to avoid it when soap is pouring out of the broken hoses...they have no water pressure also and the spot free leaves spots
We had our daughters car detailed on the inside And the staff did a terrific job it looked and smelled like a brand new car. We highly recommend them for any detailing whatsoever for your vehicles the Smead family from Bellefonte.
Bought a newer used car off a dealer in state college that came with heavy chemical spotting. The dealer refused to fix these prior to purchase, and used as bargaining tool. Dustin was able to get rid of nearly 99.9% of the spots and even ordered in a custom part to help with the process. Amazing job, and really takes care with what he does. Very clear he also loves cars and wants to see them at their best.
I drive a mid-size SUV and I went through the auto car wash that uses the brushes on 1/28/2020. I picked the middle of the road car wash, which was $15. After I went through the car wash, I drove home and when I got out of my car, i noticed that the brushes did not touch 75% of the back of my car. They basically go down the side of your car and around the corner towards the back and then stop. You can literally see where the brushes stop and the dirt remains, which is most of the lift gate. I am assuming the brushes need calibrated, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I expect my whole car to be cleaned by the brushes for $15. Maybe I am just asking for too much...
Great car wash, quick and efficient and touch less!
Seemed to do a good job
I use his car wash every time my vehicle needs cleaned and they even offer for $15 extra after your wash for detailing inside
More expensive than some of the other car wash spots. The guys seemed in a hurry and didnt do a good job drying my car and when i looked at the car I saw water spots and streaks of dirt. Paid way too much to still have to hand detail myself.
Always does a great job on my SUV by getting the backend better than other car washes.
Piss poor soft touch dont get 50% of suds off, maybe new machines needed or maintaining the equipment might help
Wanted to say thank you for the awesome job detailing an older minivan from our company fleet. The inside of this 2005 Chrysler hasnt looked this good in years....job well done!
Great place for the best machine wash around
Almost no noticeable difference didnt clean my car at all and the self service stations also always has some problem or something is broken or the chemical are empty . Very unsatisfied and I would like a refund!!
Better than average
Great work at cleaning the crud out of my work vehicle at an affordable price!
Their service had dropped off
Get theor membership, I go almost every day and its great.
You get a really good carwash. Not sure Ill get the upgrade for interior to be done again. Missed spots on inside of front window and had to do myself. But will definitely renew membership to get their unlimited carwashes each month.
An OK wash for the price.
Nice people and the touchless does a good job on our Chrysler and its black. For the most part no spots.
About half the time, the touchless car wash is either low on soap, or isnt working correctly. At all their locations too, not just this one. Nice place other than the water wash you pay forAlso made the mistake of taking my never washed, never touched, brand new car, 4 days old, through their state of the art tunnel.. clear coat scratches, all over the car...but obviously I didnt say anything, because the other reviews tell me they deny deny deny.
Excellent food and good drinks
In all honesty they do NOT deserve a one star. They have the absolute worst customer service. When they pre washed by car they completely scratched the hood and one side. The gentleman that was working that day said it has happened multiple times in the past and that they would fix it. Talked to another employee the following day when the head manager was there and he said to come he would fix it. When I got there the head manager was extremely disrespectful. He blamed the employee stating that the gentleman is a college student and what he says does not matter. They do not deserve any business and have no customer service skills.
A little expensive but over all Redline does a good job for what it is.
Fast and friendly service would recommend
Red Line is my favorite place for a nice quality auto-wash. Facilities are clean. Had an issue once (at a different Red Line location) in 7+ years going to their facilities and they graciously re washed it free.
This a great carwash because not only can you get your car washed but also an interior cleaning. The staff is courteous and very helpful.
Come here for the car wash, stay for the massage chair while they clean the interior of your vehicle. I didn’t know what I was missing out on by skipping this bonus feature! The interior cleaning fee was only a $10 add. Well worth it before our trip to the beach.
Not a bad place to wash cars, especially getting the membership
I used to be a weekly customer for the interior vacuum. I go a whole lot less often but very much still enjoy the service. The price went up for my service from 10 to 15 dollars, but still easily worth it. I used to always tip 5 dollars anyway which has turned in to an average of 3 depending on available cash on hand but I always make a point to leave a tip for the guys. In all my visits, I think I have only been turned away two times because they were busy with other pre-scheduled services. I mean, what can I expect to roll in late morning, no appointment, no call ahead? Im not the Queen of England. For the vacuum, they also wipe the dash and windex the windows. My car comes out 15 minutes later looking like a million dollars. Every single employee is friendly and polite. I have only used the auto car wash and manual car wash each once and both times I was pleased with the outcome. I did have a problem with my manual booth, but they quickly set me up in another stall and reset my time. About 5 years ago I purchased the most expensive fancy interior clean for my mom and her minivan and boy.... They earned every dollar charged on that one. The inside of the van looked like the Apocalypse happened it it. Granted, they had a whole day to work on it but by the time I came to pick it up, it looked like they van-swapped for someones vehicle that a person loved and cared about instead of the Hoarders Buried Alive mobile that I brought them. Love this place and these people. Thanks guys!
Great place. Very nice people working there.
Great car wash but more importantly, the young man who was working on 8/25 was incredible! He took the time to really deal with our car that was used by birds for bombing practice. Polite, attentive and well trained!!
I often use their self car wash at least once a week minimum. There are pros and cons. The advantage is that it is basically a 24-hour car wash, so it is available anytime. However, when self-cleaning the car, motor wheel cleaning tool is always broken (8.5/10 times) and car wash conditioner can not be used without a liquid., (not all the time) I always just lose money on these issues. Please have refills and other tools fixed so it can be used well. In particular, Also fill up the car wheels tool with solution.
If you wash your car regularly (more than 3 times a month) then the subscription plans here are really a great deal. The staff is always friendly and courteous.
Love it
Always working and great wash
Wish they would service there touchless car wash machine, 1st couple of nozzles dont spray very good. Got better touchless car washes at sheetz towards Pittsburgh
Ive been here three times now. The vacuums work fine; no problem there. The bays on the other hand... Each time I went Ive had to pull into multiple bays in order to find one that has a working credit card machine. Sometimes the machines are marked broken, and other times they simply wont work. Multiple knob settings regularly dont work in the bays, and each time I went their was puddles of water in the bays. This last time I went I tried two bays with credit card which didnt work, so I then went to split a $20 at a nearby store, came back, put in $5 and the timer started but NONE of the knobs worked and the machine simply ate my money. At this point Im going to eat the cost and take my business elsewhere. Its not worth it dealing with a business that disrespects their customers like this.
Its your typical car wash, nothing special. They do offer detailing but Im sure its expensive.
Great place to get your car washed. The people there are very helpful
Always a good wash. We have the yearly plan.
Fast & friendly service! Never disappointed!I have been an unlimited wash member since Redline opened in November of 2009. I love being able to go and get my car washed any time of the day and not have to worry about having correct change or my credit card because of their convenient RFID system. Although, I prefer to get a wash during normal business hours because they have employees who dry your car for you which is an added free bonus!I live on the opposite side of town but still frequently use the the North Atherton location because of the super tunnel wash that cleans the brake dust from wheels so well and makes them shine and especially the dog wash. It is so easy to use and my dog always smells so good and feels so soft because of the natural/organic products that they use in the machine. I am so happy with my membership because I am able to use it at all 3 locations in town! It is so convenient to be able to quickly get a wash no matter which side of town I am on.I have had my car detailed numerous times and have never been disappointed. They do an excellent job cleaning all of the nooks and crannies of my car and always make it look and feel like new. This especially says a lot since I have a 2.5 yo and can easily pull out the equivalent of a box of Cheerios from under my seats on a monthly basis! If you do not have time for a full detail it is so nice to be able to get a quick interior detail where they just vacuum and wipe everything down for you. It only takes a few minutes and I usually just take my daughter inside to use the restroom, watch TV, or use the free computer while we wait.Overall my experiences with Redline over the last 6 years have been positive. I love the convenience of their 3 locations in town, love simplicity of the dog wash and the products they use, and their superior detailing services.
Truck was very dirty after spending $14* (speed shine) to get it cleaned
Lots of bays open; also has a do-it-yourself automatic wash machine which does a good job as long as the car isnt too dirty. And finally, theres an full-blown automatic car wash with an attendant that pre-washes the tires, etc.
The dog wash is awesome. It will take a bit of time before our pooch finds it to be awesome, but for an owner, it is a top notch set up. Clean, functional and easy to use!
Speedy, thorough, and well managed. Although the automatic wash of course was not as good as hand-washing. The drying especially left much to be desired.
If your time to close is 5 you shouldn’t lock the doors for your dog wash at 4:40 because you have to clean it! Just saying, change your hours so people don’t make the trip and waste their time.
I find this red line speed shine to be in a very convenient location, just off of North Atherton, before hitting all of the main congestion. It is easy to access. There are a lot of options for self-service, and there is a drive-around soft touch (hand) wash service, but thus far I have only used the touchless wash (and my rating is based on that).I think the price of the wash is too expensive. I have a new car, which is what they recommend a touchless wash for, but my car never gets more than 85% clean. After every wash I dry the car by hand anyway (because those air dryers cant be expected to fully dry a car in under a minute), but I always end up wiping off grime that I think should have easily been removed had the wash done another pass. For a wash that expensive, my car should be cleaner for it. I have even sprung for the more expensive wash packages, and that really doesnt make much of a difference.Lastly, there is only one automatic touchless wash, and the first sunny day after a storm in the winter, the line would be insufferably long. Im the fool for waiting, but it takes ages to get through a line of more than two cars (I waited for seven or eight before, dont do that), and when youre the one in the wash it feels like the wash itself lasts about four minutes, even on the top wash package, and the car still isnt fully clean. If there is no line and youre in a hurry, Id say go for the automatic. In any other circumstances Ill try the other two types of washes, but in the summertime, I think Id rather keep washing my car in my driveway.
Nice exterior wash when the automation is working. Good price. Probably not the best place for detailing, but good for DIY.
I had my, full of dog hair Subaru cleaned here and I was blown away with the excellent job they did...really top notch. Efficient and an unbeatable price.
Did a great job detailing my car. No complaints.
Excellent detail shop.
Good enough when you need a quick wash, but there are better options in town and Ive seen better automated washes in the world.
I have made repeated attempts to use this car wash over the last 7-8 months and have been completely unable to get the automatic wash to accept a credit card--it has only worked with cash. My card works literally around the globe in hundreds of devices--it is neither a card issue nor user error. Today when I called to point out the glitch I was told flatly that they had never received any complaints about credit cards--in spite of multiple reviews online saying precisely that.If and when you fix your problem, message me and I may be willing to try again. Please read the multiple dozens of similar complaints online before responding that no such problem exists. Thats just arrogant.
I did the deluxe was, it didnt clean my car and they charge for vacuum cleaners. In addition they have no trashcan. Would not recommend.
I have a membership with the car wash, so I pay $35/month and get unlimited car washes for both the touchless and tunnel. The touchless is one of the better ones Ive seen, but the dryer is horrible. The tunnel is great, however the dryers are also not very good and you need to rely on the guys at the end of the tunnel to dry it with towels (they usually expect a tip too). Id say its the best in State College, but when compared to car washes where Im from in Pittsburgh, its not the best.
I used to suffer from a car wash addiction, but Im clean now. Solid wash, reasonable prices
Did the automated drive through. Easy, efficient and did a good job blasting winter grime off.
My car left cleaner than it arrived, but that is not a very lofty goal to strive for. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for Team Blue down the street.
The membership program makes keeping your car spotless so easy and affordable
1 star = 4 strikes.I will not disclose what the 4 strikes are because I genuinely want this place to fail. This place washed the exterior of my vehicle almost as well as the rain from the sky, which is quite sad if you ask me.All in all, it is a complete waste of money to go to this place. Purchasing a quality shop-vac and letting the rain wash your car serves as the supremum to the amount of utility you could get from this place, and no, the supremum is not part of their piss poor utility set, in this case.If the owner responds to this review, take everything I said to an extreme degree of seriousness. If the owner does not respond, read my review, laugh, and never go to this place.
Great carwash. The self serve is is open in the wintertime and the wait for automatic wash never takes very long.
Car was very dirty after getting washed, they must use dirty water to wash
Worst place to go for car wash. I had interior cleaning for my car today at this place. They charge me $10.00 and hardly didnt anything. I had to ask them to clean it again but the guy sitting on counter was very reluctant. I would rather clean my car myself instead of visiting this place again.
Very courteous taking care of membership
Overpriced compared to what I am used to, but only decent car wash around town.
Quick and thorough
At the N Atherton location again today 1-15-17 and AGAIN as reported to the attendant on my last visit, some of the self serve function selection indicators spin and spin and spin and you will not know what function you will get when you add money.. WARNING the 3rd one from the far right is STILL, I REPEAT STILL non functioning. The 4th one from the same side exit vacuum pressure door opener is not working properly. You must stand there and hold the close button until the door is completely down and making no noise or it will pop up immediately. So much for heated bays when the door wont stay closed and I was fearful it would crash on me as i was driving out the exit. . Today the foot walking area was extremely icy. Walking from my door to the door open exterior button was very treacherous. ..in both bays I was parked to await entering. It appeared a plan to have 2 workers outside the towel dry area wiping down auto wash customers, but the self serve ones couldnt even get a hand full of ice melt on the walk way so we could remain safe.
Good local car wash with multiple service tiers - self service spray, automated spray and a full service gentle contact wash.
Good soft cloth automatic car wash, and they hand dry your car after the wash.
Cheaper than an amusement park, nearly as fun. Plus, unlike an amusement park, your car is clean at the end.
Working in the car business, I know a thing or two about vehicles and how they ought to be cared for. Like you, I read these reviews in search of the best car wash in State College. Redline is the best car wash State College has to offer. And, thats too bad.Redline Speed Shine has beautiful facilities. Their locations are top notch, convenient, and stylish. But their services are sluggish, impersonal, and generally leave much to be desired. After purchasing a 6 month long membership to the wash at their mid-level wash -costing me approximately $30/Month- I experienced some days of fantastic service, and other days with downright awful service. Some days the Tunnel was attended, and the guys were hustling people through. There was little to no wait. I was a happy camper and felt like my money bought me a great service.Other days I experienced the frustration of waiting in my car for many minutes (which admittedly seems much longer than it actually is) but I assure you was at least a few minutes - for an attendant to help me. In fact sometimes I waited so long for an attendant to show up, that I actually got out of my car in the dead of winter to go retrieve whomever was supposed to be working the tunnel, only to find that nobody cared about my wait time and to be told Yeah, were coming. How absurd. On those occasions that Ive utilized the touchless wash bay, I have never had a completely whole experience. That is to say that the wash never does everything from the underspray to the drying. A step or two is always on the fritz. The driers in those bays seem to never work totally correctly. After addressing the lack of dryers with management, I was continuously told we are working on it or that guy is coming tomorrow to install a new motor. Sometimes I was told that I was simply wrong. As in Oh Mr. Jefferys thats simply not the case, that was fixed just yesterday. Mhhm, no it was not!On a positive note, RedLine does a very good job with interior cleaning. It takes quite a long time, but Ive never been disappointed with the $7 add on quick-interior-clean. Thats something great that nobody does quite as well as RedLine. My final specific note is regarding the towels used at RedLine. These towels are not good enough for use on vehicles. They are red. They shed. They are too gritty for cars. Ive also been told tough stuff -essentially- when trying to address that issue with management.Bearing all of this in mind - RedLine is the best car wash in State College. Team Blue is twice as expensive, twice as time consuming, and they suffer from the same problems that I suspect Redline suffers from - an apathetic student workforce with high turnover. So if youre looking for the best car wash in State College its RedLine. And, its okay. Just dont expect to always get what you pay for, dont expect for it to be quick, and dont expect to be overjoyed when youre done. But, if your aim is to buy a decent service to wash your car - Redline fits the bill.
Over the past years at redline the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Typically functions are broken, doors wont open, bays are dirty, or machines dont accept credit cards.
If your services arent operable, put up a sign telling your customers so they dont have to drive around looking for a garage that can meet their needs. Specifically the cc machines. I should know before I go in that Im going to need cash. Otherwise Im wasting my time, and the time of those in line behind me.And whats up with your drains?
