He was fast, courteous, friendly, and a great help. I would recommend him to anyone and use him for the future.
Had 3 appointments with Sears in a month period and tried to fix one malfunction burner. 1st technician diagnosed that it was the switch problem and ordered the part and I paid in full. 2nd technician came and found it was a wrong part ordered. 3rd technician came and said that it was not the switch problem, it may be the element problem. Now the burner is not fixed after all those troubles. I’m very disappointed.
The first words out of the repairmans mouth were do want this fixed or do you want to buy a new one. Why would we (my wife) call a repair service if we would rather buy a new one. He showed more interest talking on his phone then wanting to fix the problem, he knew the error message on the Maytag washer meant a new control board, but less than 5 minutes into the job told me he could not find a serial number for the machine and could do no more work, except bill me $99. Our matching dryer was repaired 3 years ago by another service with no serial number nonsense. He figured grab the quick $99 rather than do his job, especially since it was getting very close to lunch time. Not surprised that Sears is no longer in business. I expect a similar fate for their repair service.
The repair people are always great but the accounting system used by Sears is terrible. It adds 15 minutes to every service visit because the tech is so bad. In the context of Covid, that is 15 minutes inside your house for no reason other than Sears wont upgrade its system. To be clear, repair staff is 5+ stars. Sears tech is 0 stars.
Mike was great. Gave us some tips on better use of the appliances (especially the washer and dishwasher), and fixed a perennial problem with the stovetop.
Well the repair was faulty. They said it was a broken pump hose clamp and obviously it was not. When I started a load of laundry it started spraying water, again. Did the repairman not run a check by starting the washer? I dont know. We called the next day to report this and were told that the next available appointment was Tuesday. Not happy that I have to wait another five days for service when they didnt fix the problem the first time. Not good!
Ended up canceling appointments repairman was unhelpful on phone and didnt seem to want to be bothered to come on the service call.
RIP-OFF!!!I had them fix my washer. They charged me $259 labor cost for a 30-minute job!!!!!!They lure you by saying the diagnostic fee will be applied to the final cost if you decide to continue with the repair but this doesnt mean anything!$259 for a valve replacement that I literally could have done myself.Update: if you want to dispute a charge, you have to do it in writing and mail it. For a moment I thought we still live in the 1980s. Im so frustrated and disappointed.------------Update 2: Ive sent them an email per their request in the reply below, but I have not received any reply. No response! Im starting to believe that replies like the one below are automated, and their purpose is just to make them look good online with no genuine care for customers. Still waiting...
Promptly diagnosed problems. Then, because the solution involved a slight rerouting of the drain hose, informed me that he wasn’t allowed to do that. So for $99 I got the diagnosis and still ended up ordering the parts and fixing it myself. But he was cordial.
The technician that came to check my washier and drier for routine maintenance was very helpful. He really explained how I could get the most efficient service from my appliances. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
The repairman was pleasant enough and got the job done efficiently. I did feel nickel and dimed when he informed me that they would be charging $50 to clean the lint out of the dryer! Given that the said lint could not be accessed without opening the dryer up and that I pay a monthly premium to have my appliances repaired I would have thought cleaning and therefore ensuring I would not have to call out a repairman would have made sense.
The repairman claimed he fixed the oven. He did not and another repairman is now scheduled. We are extremely disappointed in the quality and skill of the original repairman. We have used Sears warranty policies for more than 30 years, but are now concerned whether Sears can deliver the quality service which we previously experienced.
I rescind my earlier enthusiastic review based on subsequent experience.Apart from the sub-par repair and cleaning of my dehumidifier (I paid a lot extra to have them come to my home for this heavy device), I think its an outrageous inconvenience to the consumer to require them to be available for a full day to schedule the repair.I dont know of any other firm requiring such a complete window of availability. Dont they realize we have other things do to in life apart from arranging for the presence of an adult on weekdays to let the repair person in?No wonder Sears went out of business!
The service person was very polite, careful and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem areas and ordered parts. Within a week the parts had arrived and been installed by another serviceman. Both were very helpful. However, the quality of the wall oven does not come up to my expectations. I was told, by the servicemen, that a 40 degree swing in temperature, above and below set point, is considered normal. This oven still has temperature swings of at least 40 degrees and sometimes more. Prior to this service, the swings were 65+ degrees with locking into those extremes for 1/2 hour at a time. I moved 6 months ago and purchased this oven 3 months ago. I use my oven A LOT. My baking times are now 1 1/2 to 2 times longer than I am used to, or I run the risk of burning foods. My previous ovens were excellent and 35 years old.
I am still waiting for a refund. The person they sent out had no electrical experience. The problem was electrical. So I paid the service fee which amounted to $100.58 for about 5 minutes of work. And then I had to call a real service man (an electrician) to fix my problem. They should have sent someone that was trained in appliances, electrical and plumbing as I told them the problem was with my washer and dryer combo, I told the person on the phone that neither worked, again they should have sent a more experienced tech out, one that could not only tell me what the problem was but also fix it. I have called twice to get the refund and no refund yet or not even an email like they promised. Instead I get these emails to ask about my experience. They should have sent someone that could fix the problem. Instead they were so concerned with me buying a protection plan they tried selling it to me on the phone and the technician also tried to sell me and he also wasted about 1/2 hour in my home talking about his trip to Jamaica. Probably charging his company for time spent or justifying the time spent. Oh and I had to give this one star to post, I give it no stars and I wish I would get my refund soon.
I am VERY glad I called Sears Appliance Repair. Our Kenmore water softener needed service, so I gave them a call. EXCELLENT experience all around. Very easy scheduling over the phone (next day, I didnt expect that!). Service rep was in touch with me via text. Very experienced technician, he immediately knew exactly what was wrong and instructed me on how to prevent the problem in the future. And the price was reasonable. I will call them again and I highly recommend them.
The technician from Lock Haven, PA was very professional and friendly. Although he came only for the annual de-humidifier check-up, I especially appreciate that he helped me when I asked if he also could look at a possible problem with my Kenmore water softener. I was able to immediately use my credit card to initiate servicing my softener softener, which he was able to fix for me. Great guy!
Matt was absolutely wonderful! He handled the replacement of our washer with care and expertise. He even tested it to see that it was not still leaking before he left. Kudos to Matt
I couldnt give this 2 stars and its not really OK...so 2 1/2 stars. The repair was done well, but my wife and I had this diagnosed properly and pinpointed the problem exactly. So why were we charged $150 for a refurbished drain pump on my KENMORE washer and charged $150 an hour for a 20 minute job???!! This wont happen again.Thank You Sears!
DID A GOOD JOB NEW WHAT HE WAS DOING
I was impressed right away with the service provider. He was sharp in his diagnosis and knew exactly what to do. He was personable, efficient, and extremely professional. I give him 5 stars!
Our service technician was very informative, helpful, and he fixed our dishwasher. Couldnt ask for a better experience.
The call came in that the technician would be at the house at 12-12:30. I waited until 2pm or so before he arrived. The problem was diagnosed quickly but I was told they dont do the repair/replace the water line to the refrigerator. I was charged $100 for the diagnosis, so I would say I am rather disappointed in the experience. I have been Kenmore brand loyal with all my appliances coming from sears I expected a little more.
First of all, they asked me if I preferred morning or afternoon. I said afternoon. The guy showed up at 8:30 AM. The repairman was very, very nice, but he was really a tractor repairman, not an appliance repairman. Luckily it was only a yearly checkup, but I do question if he could have detected if something was wrong. He checked seals and temperatures. I think I could have done that. I am due to renew my maintenance contract and I am just not sure it is worth it. No reflection on the man who came to the house as he did a couple adjustments that I requested, but quite honestly, the delivery man who installed the appliances should have done that when I bought them. Not so sure about counting Sears for quality workmanship.
Knowledge sales staff and great salesService man was wonderful. Checked the refrigerator over well with all testing equipment, discovered problem and fixed it on first visit. Very pleased with the service. The Williams, Bellefonte, PA
The repairman did a good job on the washer & dryer and was very informative on the aspects of those two machines. We were disappointed with the gas range as we needed him to adjust the flame height on one of the burners, but he didnt have the proper tool to do so. We still have the same issue with the range as we did prior to the repair.
The technician was very knowledgable and very nice.
Warning: Sears repair is one of the top WORST companies i have ever dealt with. Their call center must be out of this country, they speak very poor english. The service technicians took four times to fix my dishwasher. You will need to take off work because they will not schedule a time only they they will be at your home between 8am and 5pm. I am very disappointed.
Very efficient on our recent annual maintenance service on our 14 year ProForm treadmill. The maintance contract has really been worthwhile.
The service contract I purchased for my Craftsman lawn tractor is the best Ive ever had. Prompt service with a very knowledgeable, courteous technician.
Guy was on time. Called when he was about 45 minutes away. Loved our dog. Diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes, made the corrections to the belt, tightened up some other things, cut me a break on price and left.Easy breezy!!!
Lester has worked on my lawn tractor multiple times and my elliptical once. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. Great customer service.
Where to begin? Just dont buy from Sears. The service and product quality soured my taste for any Sears product in the future. Poor design, construction and poor service account for the demise of this company. I think they make more money selling warranties. Better off with Wolf or Subzero appliances. You get what you pay for.
Service tech was very knowledgeable and courteous.Quick order of part needed.
Repairman was prompt, very knowledgeable and professional - all was working fine in a very short time.
Serviceman showed up on time and was very helpful and efficient in checking over our stove, refrig, dishwasher, washer, and dryer.
Was very satisfied with the tech we had. The first tech was not knowledgeable of what he was doing.
Fast response, fast resolution of my issue. Great experience!
The technician explained what the problem was and fixed it with in 15 mins.He did a very good job and now my ice maker works.
Very pleased with the service provided by the very polite and attentive service man!
Your repairman was excellent. He went out of his way to get a needed part so he could get the repair work done, and serviced our other Sears appliances while he was he was here.
Requested a service call before my warranty is up. I have had a barrage a spam and phone calls. I canceled my service and will never do business with Sears again. I it does not stop, I am contacting the Better Business Bureau.
The repair man came out and fixed my dryer in one trip. Still working as it should, I will use them again if need be.
Trouble with locating problem, them problem getting parts!
The technician did fine.
He stayed until he found the problem and fixed it. Thank you!
The repairman was prompt, courteous, and corrected the problem. I couldnt ask for more.
