My girlfriend has live in the Loft apartments for about 2 years. There was a different property manager at the time. The woman they have now is very unprofessional. My girlfriend has countless emails she has sent to this woman and havenβt gotten any response. When she finally did get in contact via the security guard, all this woman did was try blaming my girlfriend for this that arenβt even her fault. Now my girlfriend has to resort to getting a camera and contacting legal aid because there is harassment occurring from her neighbor and sheβs starting to feel really unsafe. Iβm at her apartment enough to witness a lot of whatβs going on. Itβs pretty evident that the proof manger is bias and helps who she wants to help. Thank goodness she has the proof of a lot of whatβs been happening.
For the last few years, residents at the Lofts have made numerous complaints to The Lofts leasing office (Pinnacle Living and now Cushman & Wake) (Loft Owners LLC) regarding a 1st floor tenant that video records tenants at the Lofts on a daily basis and then uploads those videos to his numerous social media platforms with derogatory titles as to ridicule, harass and make fun of fellow tenants at The Lofts. The leasing office at the Lofts has neglected to do anything about it. This has been going on since 2016. Emails have been sent, phone calls made, and even lawyers have gotten involved. Still, The Lofts leasing company REFUSES to get rid of this creep! Its not only 1 person that has complained, there is group of about 7 people who are constantly targeted by this guy, both men and women and they have all brought this to the leasing office but its always one excuse after the other. The issue here s that the leasing office and the owners of the Lofts do not want to pay the fees associated with getting this guy removed....until, someone gets hurt. The leasing office has ignored many of the tenants complaints regarding the harassment taking place on the 1st floor--even after police have been called the scene and several very risky situations have taken place. This tenant also likes to walk around the area of the Lofts and shine super bright lights in the faces of residents. The tenant in question harasses women and the elderly and The Lofts leasing will NOT do anything about it. If you want a video of you uploaded on tiktok or facebook, move to the Lofts.
Absolutely not professional to offer 12 month leases and not honor them, or provide any given notice that construction needs to happen only a few months into the lease. No moving fees and no guarantee of a suitable alternative!!! What horrendous practices and values.
Ive sent numerous emails since August and no response... Its been 2 months now.. still no response.
I have lived in many apartments over the past 10 years, and my experience at the Lofts at Yale & Towne stands above the rest. The massive windows in my unit allowed for plenty of natural light, and the south facing apartment meant that I had incredible sunrise and sunset views daily. Additionally, the close proximity to the Stamford Train Station (10 min walk. 5 min run) made for easy access to NYC.Finally, Id be remiss if I didnt mention the incredible experience I had with the Lofts staff. Miguel, who works at the front desk, knew my name within 5 minutes of moving in. He really cares and makes a point to develop a personal relationship with each resident. Jay, in the leasing office, is so friendly, always available, and easy to work with. Margaret, the Property Manager, was very accommodating when my lease came up for renewal at the beginning of COVID and was a pleasure to work with.
I have lived here for exactly one year and I absolutely love it here. Harbor Point is such a nice neighborhood and has a small town feel to it compared to downtown. Everyone is friendly and itβs very dog friendly. We moved to Stamford from a house with a large yard and I was considering downtown, but Iβm so glad I chose here. My dog loves its here. Itβs quiet with lots of grassy areas and itβs 10-15 minute walk to the harbor through Commons Park. My apartment is beautiful with huge windows and exposed brick and beams, stainless appliances, granite counters and a washer and dryer. None of which have had any problems. And last, but not least the management and staff are wonderful. Margaret started managing this building right around the same time I moved in and she has done such a wonderful job, which is evident by all the great reviews in the last year. Jay, Miguel and Andrew and the Maintanence team are awesome as well. I highly recommend The Lofts!
Been here 5+ years and it has been a great experience. Apartments have a great urban feel to them with high ceilings and brick exposure. Staff and Maintenance are all friendly and efficient. Nearby parks and beaches are a big plus and you canβt beat the walk to the metro north train station and access to NYC. Fairway supermarket next door is extremely convenient as well as other businesses in harbor point. We have made many friends here and appreciate the friendly vibe here.
I lived at The Lofts for 2 years. The front office was always very helpful, from the time we toured the apartment all the way through when we moved out. All maintenance requests were responded to quickly. Overall, a great experience and we wouldnt have moved were it not for having to move out of state.
Iβve lived here almost 3 years and have enjoyed every aspect of the building. I rent a one bedroom for myself and itβs the perfect space for me. Clean modern appliances, a discreet laundry space, sunlight from amazing windows. Great view from the 6th floor! I never hear any neighbors or noise and the front desk and management couldnβt be more helpful and friendly. Nice, genuine people who care about the tenants needs. Super close to everything-walking distance of the harbor, train station and downtown. Great area for food and people watching. I fell in love with the brick facade of the building which brings you back to the Industrial Age and I love the history of the building itself. Constant maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas, and the gym is perfect for your workout needs. Glad I moved here from NYC and I guarantee you will too.
The Lofts at Yale and Towne are part of the Harbor Point Community in downtown Stamford. With easy access to public transportation, I-95 and boutique shopping and restaurants, The Lofts make an ideal location for modern urban living.Part of the South End Historic District, The Loft buildings, dating from mid 1800, have been renovated and fitted with high end fixtures and amenities.High ceilings and windows, exposed beams, brick and ductwork compliment the now modern interiors. All of The Lofts staff do a wonderful job keeping the buildings and apartments fresh and up to date.As an architect, I would strongly recommend The Lofts to those passionate about both architecture and history and all those looking for a modern urban living experience.
Great experience here. Apartments are great and management is great. My mother came to visit and cant go back because of the pandemic and management was very accommodating and is allowing her to stay in a fully furnished apt with cable and wifi for a very fair price.
Finch living makes apartment living fun and stress-free!
I moved here a few months ago from another building nearby that became too pricey for the amount of time I spent in my home. I like the Harbor Side neighborhood and found that this place had the best price compared to all the other buildings. It doesnβt have all the bells and whistles of a pool and grills etc but I didnβt really use the stuff. Tbe gym is adequate for decent workout but I didnβt give up my gym membership. The apartments are neat with high ceilings and wood beams if you like that kind of stuff. I have not had to deal with the office people much but my experience has been pleasant. I had to have a few things fixed and they were taken care of within a couple days. On a side note, I see all these people ripping the place apart for parking. Do you really think that parking is free anywhere? I was paying $100 a month at my last place and rented a space in the garage here also. There are many places that are priced much higher where I am sure you can pay for parking. I donβt think there is anything bad about this place so just wanted to give my two cents.
Great place to call home. I love the location because its pretty close to my job. The price is very fair for what you get and honestly the whole place is far cleaner and more modern than some other places that I considered.
I really enjoyed living at the Lofts. The people that we dealt with in the rental office (Garrett, Jay, and Shakira) were always friendly, helpful, and responsive, as were the people working the front desk (Miguel and Glenn in particular!) Our apartment was a nice space, especially for the price, and the location was excellent--very convenient walk to the train station, grocery store right next door, and easy access to parks and green space on foot. Parking was always easy in our experience (if you are coming home after 5:30 on weekdays, you would probably want to pay for a spot, but otherwise you can almost always find a free one close by). Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Being in real estate I take my clients around to see apartments all over Stamford. I have to say the look and feel of the Lofts at Yale and Towne is great. My clients love the brick and wood beams. The staff is always very nice and make sure that my clients know feel at home.
I was skeptical when I saw the poor ratings from several years ago, but I had a phenomenal experience with the YT Lofts. Jay Felder was always very responsive and helpful with any matters. My Maitenance requests were also completed in a timely manner. Would highly recommend this apartment complex .
Be wary of moving into The Lofts if you plan to have a vehicle on site. Parking is a nightmare with an almost constant wait list to secure an available spot that never seems to change. I want to specify that I have no problems paying for parking (around 250 q month for parking in the covered structure or 65 a month for the Fairway lot) but this is unavailable due to the never ending wait list for spots. The staff is wonderful, the high ceilings and fixtures in the apartment are gorgeous, the rent is competitive to other apartments in the Stamford area but be sure to weigh those positives against having to constantly worry and stress about parking and whether your car will be towed. If you do not foresee parking being something important to you I highly recommend The Lofts.
If are you looking for historic charm in a modern era this is the choice for you. The apartments are lovely inside and offer modern kitchens and baths. I moved in about a year ago and just decided to stay another year. I shopped around and found that your standard cookie cutter apartments around the corner were much more expensive. The front desk attendant is always nice to have even though the building is less expensive. My only suggestion would be to add assigned parking in front of the building. I would recommend the apartments to anyone who is looking in the Harbor Point neighborhood.
I live in the Lofts 7 year.I am very happy with my choice. It is great place to live.Apartment is great, washer and dryer in the unit-really makes a difference.Incredible fitness facility.Staff and management is very friendly and helpful.Specially management is very caring and always available and professional. Thanks Garrett, Shakira and Jay for making my experience pleasurable.I feel well cared and comfortable here.I absolutely love living here.
Unstable door woman ...I went downstairs to retrieve my 2 packages today, Dec. 4, 2018, at 6:50 PM. The door woman gave me 1 package and insisted that Id only received 1 package, even though tracking showed that both packages had been delivered at the *same* time at 4:22 PM. She *refused* to help to look for the missing package. She then walked away from her desk to the storage room. After she left, I spotted my missing package sitting on the ground with my apartment number clearly marked on the box. I picked it up and waited by her desk for her to come back to let her know that I found the package. (I could have left with my OWN package. But, for the courtesy, I waited for her despite my very busy schedule.) Seeing me with the package, without a word, she rushed over and *physically* grabbed the package from my hands and threw it under her desk. It caught me by surprise. I was totally stunned! And she yelled: You can NOT take it. I am not going to let you have it. She yelled again that I can not take my package before she scanned it into the system. I wondered what is wrong with her? I asked if she could enter it into the system while I waited. She mocked me and said, in that case youll be standing there waiting for the *next few hours*! And she chuckled and went back to her desk staring at her computer. What right did she have to *physically* seize my package from my hands??? What right did she have to *throw* my package to the ground? What right did she have to *keep* my package??? She completely ignored my protests and refused to let me have my own package!Since the leasing office was closed, I reported the incident to the police. You would think that the doorman in this luxurious apartment is here to serve the tenants here. She not only does not understand that her ONLY job is to make sure the tenant could get his/her packages *as soon as* possible, she did her best in bullying and attacking me.The outright robbery of my property is an attack and is physical violence. And, keeping my package is called stealing in law. Both are not allowed and can not be tolerated under the US law! I do not think any company could tolerate this kind of aggressive and bully personality/behavior..
UPDATE: turns out my $750 deposit is NON REFUNDABLE! I attempted to contact The Lofts numerous times over the course of 48 hours to ask questions regarding the building and my calls/emails were unanswered, but since I decided not to move forward The Loft alleges they lost money since the apartment was being held. CRIMINAL! Time to hire an attorney... what a nightmare. The leasing agent I worked with was very professional in person and then when I decided to move forward with the leasing process they were SO SLOW, my confirmation email came back with errors, questions took days to get answers. I ultimately decided against leasing at The Lofts before receiving my lease and realized my credit card was charged not only for the application fee but also for the entire security deposit ($750). I hadnt even gotten answers to my questions, nor had I even seen the lease yet! I was told I would be refunded via check and it would take A MONTH to process. So sneaky- Im relieved I decided to not move forward.
At first I submitted a review which was truly not forthcoming of the experience Ive had there shared amongst other realtors. I waited longer than 45 days for payment. Be advised!
It claimed to be luxurious living. But, it is absolutely not!!! To save its cost, it did not update the beaten up apartment. It asked you to take the beaten up apartment. It dared to charge $65 amenity fee while there is near ZERO amenity. The so called amenity, the lounge, is actually the staffs break room. There is no roof top garden, no swimming pools, no public kitchen, no theater nor game room. It claimed that they are organizing some activities which I believed most of residents have zero interest to attend. $65 amenity??? The only amenity it got is an exercise room which all apartments in the neighborhood have. The dryer is very small, and it vented to your living room!!! Yes, you got the hot air and humidity FREE for sure. You have to turn on the AC to run the dryer!!! And, leasing agent would take notes and promise you the moon but the notes probably were thrown away as soon as you walked out of the door. It is not just under delivered. It can be called LIE most of the time. I do not think that the leasing agents or the management team understand that their salary is coming from the residents rents. They should work for the residents. But, NO!. They worked for themselves!! The agent appeared to be a good listener, but she is NOT on your side, nor have your best interest in her heart. If you read others reviews, you knew that most of the words said by them, like it is OK, are ALL lies. And, the parking is a nightmare. It is near impossible to find a street parking. While most neighboring apartments are offering FREE 1st car parking or a small fee, this apartment charges you $110 parking!!! It is outrageous expensive! The rent might appear a little bit cheaper than others. But, that is NOT true!!! If you added the parking, it is not cheaper. If you count the amenity, it is actually a very EXPENSIVE beaten up apartment!!! The floor is uneven due to foundation shift. The walls are cracked. The hot air and the cold air came into your apartment from the cracks!!! And, read the management teams comments on the reviews. It is just a show!!! They are not going to change anything. Do not be fooled!! If you are looking for a luxurious living, here is NOT your answer.
What started off as a lovely experience quickly went south. My wife and I have lived here for the past three years. The front desk staff are wonderful as is the maintenance team. However, the processing end is a disaster. We went to renew our lease around the time BLT was bought out. Should we have elected not to renew, we would have needed to give 60 days notice. The office did not provide us with a new lease packet until days before expiration basically forcing us to renew. With that said they did extend our lease with no rent increase (a mild attempt to remedy the situation). They then failed to update that our renters insurance was renewed. This resulted in my incurring a fee for 3 months (each month I was calling to get it reversed). It took 3 attempts. The final time I went to call I was stuck in a digital voicemail loop until I had to call the office (a number I looked up by googling because it is not listed on the website). Now Louis is extremely helpful as is/are the rest of the employee base, but I wouldnt wish this experience on anyone else. The lack of back office support is frustrating to say the least and things routinely fall through the cracks.Id give the hard working staff a 5/5 review. The facilities a solid 3. But the back office payment team, lease origination team etc. a 0/5.
Great experience and service! The staff is always very inviting and willing to help.
Our apartment is pleasant, the front desk staff is great, and the neighborhood is very convenient to downtown Stamford and the train station. However, the management team has been extremely frustrating to deal with as problems drag on for months without resolution. Starting last fall, we expressed concerns about a terrible odor in our apartment which turned out to be a pre-existing condition in the brickwork that had been sealed over before we moved in. Eventually (in the spring) the leasing office agreed to let us move to a different unit, but then charged us a transfer/application fee, double-charged us for rent on the prior and new units, did not return our security deposit for the original unit, and started charging us a monthly fee for being uninsured even though they were physically shown a certificate from our insurance company before we moved into the new unit. (We also had to pay for the movers ourselves.) Our requests for a response to these issues have been mostly ignored, and we have been reduced to threatening legal action. If we had known then what we know now, we would have kept looking rather than choose The Lofts.
Best looking apartment in the area. Doesnt have the luxury amenities of the surrounding apartments. Better rent rates than similar apartments on the other side of 95. Walking distance to fairway.
Very bad experience when dealing with staffing regarding our deposit. This is by far the worst communication I have ever seen from a leasing office to tenant/future tenants. No one was in the office when I went. No phone calls were made from the office to me when I left my name and number, more than once. No response to emails that I sent out. Ive been given the run around. Stories were changed twice about why I couldnt get my deposit back. No common curtesy to let me know that the person my husband and I were dealing with sending emails to was no longer working at the office. Just Horrible. My husband and I were supposed to move in the first week of March but found out that we needed to move out of state for his job. The moment we found out we immediately contacted the person that helped with our paperwork and asked about our deposit. We unfortunately got no where with that, because after three days of going back and forth with him in email he said we could no longer speak to him. From there all contact on his end was cut off, but that didnt stop my husband and I from reaching out to him and to management. My husband and I found it odd that our deposit immediately got cashed right away, when the person helping us told us that the deposit was ONLY to place the unit on hold and that they wouldnt do anything with the check till after we signed the lease, which we did not sign. When trying to get a hold of this person we got no where. When we do finally get ahold of someone to speak with (which is three weeks later) we find out that the person that was helping us with our paperwork is no longer working there. Then we are told that we cant get our deposit back due to a 48 hour hold and after 48 hours if we dont give notice they keep our deposit. My husband and I were not told about this 48 hour rule. We were not given any paperwork of any kind pertaining to it. We have also been trying to get in contact with someone for the past month pertaining to not being able to move in and getting our deposit. We are being blamed for contacting too late when we have been trying to reach out in different ways for the past month and have gotten no where. We are now being told different stories of how we would have known about their deposit rule when no such things were told or given to us. Now we are being told that this is all our fault and we cant get our deposit back.
Renter Beware:Let me start off by saying the building is beautiful, it is safe, and the neighborhood is great. very convenient walk to the train, and lots to do close by.With that being said, working with the staff here is utterly frustrating. there is a constant turn around in the office because people can not stand to work in the mess and confusion here. Since moving in I have had countless maintenance request... all resulting in a replaced microwave, stove, washer, dryer, water heater, damaged floor due to water heater breaking/leaking, and 2 separate request for heating/air conditioning issues. Maintenence will give you the runaround and basically gaslight you into believing you are going crazy every time you put in a request. you have to submit the same problem 4 to 5 times before something will actually be done. They make you believe that they have fixed the issue, or that they are working on it, or act like it isnt broken. It took over 3 months to have a dryer replaced and the dryer was so loud it could be heard running all the way down the halls. you would have to run the dryer two times just to get a load of clothing dry.Now we are currently facing an issue with parking. My partner and I pay $150 monthly for garage parking and yet we are only able to park our cars in the garage about half the month. The lot is always full and management will not acknowledge this issue. They have been working on the problem since October and there has been zero progress towards a solution. Every time we bring this issue up to management we are only met with an attitude and maybe if we are lucky a $10 credit will be added to our account for the inconvenience. One of the reasons we pay for parking is safety. Although the building is great the area can be a little rough at night and when I come home from work at 2 am, I am often times forced to park up the street in a not so safe area and walk home to my apartment alone. My advice to someone looking to move here... DONT. Pinnacle Living management company is run so incompetently it could make living in the most beautiful apartment miserable. If you are deciding to rent make sure that check EVERYTHING before moving in, and I MEAN EVERYTHING. You do not wan to have to go through a headache of having to reach out to the staff here.
Agree with these reviews. Theyre more interested in getting you to pay that $100 application fee than actually getting you an apartment.Think about it: If a dozen schmucks like me pay for the app and reject them, they stand to make a nice profit over renting the actual units.Tried to apply several times but the leasing office was not responsive to alleviate my concerns (they make all kinds of promises of free 1 mo rent but nothing written obviously). Before the application process, I informed them that my credit was not great (but I had lots of cash to lay out up front and a decent paying job). I even asked if I could use a spotless guarantor and said that it would not help in the application, and we could work something out. They reassured βWe can always work something outβ.A few hours after submitting, I get a notice that its declined with no info as to why. Calling back the leasing office (as always a chore) leaves you with a person on the line who had a nice veneer when meeting during the tour, but completely cold and unhelpful afterwards.Funny enough, she NOW says a guarantor would help after the $100 drop in the bucket was laid out, and said I could lay out another $100 and reapply with the guarantor. WHY DID YOU TELL ME NOT TO DO THAT THEN? Oh right, youre in the business of collecting those $100 apps.I offered additional 1 month security deposit, but nope. I offered to pay THE ENTIRE LEASE, nope. 6 mo security deposit? Nope.BUT I CAN REAPPLY!ugh...Other quirks: Peeling paint and loads of cracks throughout the hallways, a crud gym, the area still looks sketch after many years, and Ive literally seen the same apartment 5x during the last 2 months (assuming it was constantly put on hold and taken off and on.) They have a nerve to call this practically empty building luxury and be so choosy for their tenants. I was only interested in a studio, and Lofts was the cheapest from one of these developments. If it wasnβt I wouldnβt even bother with them as you pay for an amenity fee where thereβs no real amenities. And parking looks awful. If they didnt stand to profit from these application fees, they wouldnt be so choosy, and be a bit of a hurry to get these apartments rented. Theres a reason why this place always seems empty...EDIT: I ended up renting at a much less choosy apartment literally in downtown. Its roomier, has inexpensive parking, better maintained, less sketch area, and NO FEES! Yep, you dont have to spend cash to find out if you can rent. Actually puts the liability on the developer to make sure you are satisfied and rented, not on you the renter.Building is older, but who cares? In the end Im spending $500/mo less when considering the stupid amenity/trash for a roomier apartment closer to work.So take a look at less advertised complexes around downtown Stamford. Theres a ton of apartments here and you dont need to settle for the Harbor where youre in this weird isolated bubble stuck with an overpriced supermarket as your main attraction.
Ive been on the hunt for awhile for an apt in lower fairfield county for a few months and a lot of place have great price points with many amentities but not many that come with a deal like the lofts. Its convient to the train, downtowns best shopping, and very safe walk score for my family and I to navigate the area. The building as high ceilings, wood beams and New York style brick in the apartment minus the horrible smells that come with living in NYC. Very clean and tidy environment when we first walked in the staff was great and management team ready to assist us in any way we needed. Im in health and wellness having the fitness center Is a huge bonus.
I paid over $2000 per month for the apartment that I could not switch to AC when I needed. I need to open the window when outside is 80 degree. When the window is stuck at night, the maintenance guy came and refused to do anything. He said that that window needs 3 men to close it. Next morning, another maintenance guy came alone and he unstuck the window himself. However, I was told not to open the window again. (And, that is the ONLY window in the living room that can be opened.) And, without the lock, the window can not be closed properly. I got FREE air from the gap. I was told today the AC/heat guy will be here and that I could ask the specialist to come to fix the issue. However, the same maintenance guy told the front desk that he would be here right away like in 5 minutes, then he did not show. He said wait 30 minutes. After an hour, he yelled to the front desk to tell me to just wait ....This maintenance guy has attitude issue.
Rented an apartment for just 2 months and when moved out they deducted $150 from the security deposit claiming that there was a burnt mark on the carpet. I have no idea where the burnt mark came from it was completely invisible when I moved in and I had to pay for the burnt mark which I am not responsible for and I tried to explain the same to the management and they didnt even care what I was saying.
Nice Apartment and good location.
Beautiful and welcoming.
Absolutely the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dont waste your time.Arrogant, Unprofessional, Inefficient, Confusing, Disrespectful
Terrible staff bad communication
Nice renters
Thanks for your help.
Excelent service
