As a person who has fixed my own car for 20 years, these guys are great. they are honest and friendly

I had issues with my Car’s Air Conditioning. Checked my Freon level which was optimal . I called Diego’s looking at their stellar google reviews to see if my compressor was out . They asked me to bring the car in which I did . I then get a call that they will have to perform an AC Service for 200 dollars to figure out the problem . I told them not to do so as it was too expensive to just diagnose the problem which I knew was the compressor . The guy then tells me he had already done the service without my approval and then lied to me saying the issue was the Freon level and he had filled it . I told him I had not authorized the AC service and then he rudely told me that he will take all the Freon out of the car which like I said I checked before giving and was already there .In the end I had to pay 75$ for labor and giving me no diagnostics . He also said the compressor was fine .I then took my car to Firestone that took 10$ for diagnostics and in an hour told me the compressor was out . See the difference ?I just felt this whole experience was very shady and again maybe everyone else had a better experience . I was not a happy customer . Hope this helps

You wanted $600 for ignition coils and spark plugs but I don’t understand. I got the coils for $30’s each at Auto Zone. It was a 20 minute change out with a socket wrench. Same with the spark plugs, they were a few dollars and easy change out on top of the engine, right next to the coils. You explained the cords were included in that charge, but those were $20 also. But if people are willing to throw $500 dollars around and just accept whatever price is thrown at them then that’s their fault too.

The dealership wanted thousands of dollars to fix my car. They even suggested this might be a good time for a new car. That was a no go.After a little research I found Diegos Mechanics. Ive always been suspicious and a bit worried about dropping my car for the first time at a new shop. But, Daniel proved to be an excellent diagnostician. He interpreted the cars symptoms and examined at all the parts he thought might be responsible. At one point I was a bit insistent about what he thought. He told me hed didnt want to answer until he was sure.The upshot is the car now runs perfectly (for the first time in a long time) and the cost was 1/4 of the dealers who, BTW, got the diagnosis wrong! Diegos Mechanics is my new go-to shop.

My thanks to Diego, Daniel and the entire team at Diego’s. They were ready to help with a major repair on short notice right before Christmas weekend. Fair price, quality work and great service. Car was done in a day and ready for the holiday weekend.

Daniel was very good to work with. Very courteous and reliable person. We got stranded at night (car simply wouldn’t turn on) and he arranged a tow truck for us first thing in the morning to get the vehicle delivered to the shop (Note that it was a big van and needed special towing arrangements) Not long after they received the car, they called saying that the car started without an issue which I was very surprised by. They ran the car through diagnostics and found a few things that could’ve caused the car to be unresponsive the night before. Daniel was very descriptive and explained things very well. After they received our approval, they addressed the problems and the car was ready for pick up the very next morning. Definitely recommend this shop and we will likely be using them for our fleet of cars going forward. They are price competitive and most importantly, very reliable and responsive.

Needed work on our brakes. Only had a day to find the problem, order the part, and get it replaced for us. They were very professional, fast, and friendly. I will recommend them any time our company needs a vehicle repaired in the area.

Diego and his son David run a quality shop there they show that they care about their customers. My daughter lives in Stamford and has an unreliable car. Twice it was towed to Diegos and they had no problem taking the car and adjusting their schedule to fix it that day. The worst mistake I made took my car there. I just had to change alternator and they started checking diske. The brakes when they had nothing wrong in a month they had checked the brakes and they were fine, and since I took it to where you were doing in horrible noise in the tires. Ke had ke vet the sister of tires with alternator. For me I changed on feet as feet as and put feet as you have been since that day kedo bad The brakes are not Loki recommending to nadir
