Fibertel is installing FiberOptics for Verizon along our street (7200W) in Magna. Their crew has 1) driven a Cat backhoe on our lawn, 2) drilled a large hole in our driveway and left the cut-out in the MIDDLE of my parking area!, 3) placed a large concrete box on my lawn directly on top of a sprinkler head, 4) piled several large pipes on my lawn... all without even contacting us!I called and left a message last night, then called back this morning. I was contacted by Weston within minutes of my AM call and have been assured that this will be fixed within a couple hours. I am staying home from work to see if it happens. Will edit if things improve.NOPE, everything has gotten WORSE!!... it is 9:30 am and the crew has our driveway blocked so we cannot leave for work, AND they turned off our house water, WHILE I WAS IN THE SHOWER!!... did they inform us?.. NO, they just cut it off! Their reply when I asked how long this would go on?... It will be fixed when it is fixed. This is BEYOND unacceptable! It is too bad we cannot give a NEGATIVE rating!EDIT: Two weeks later and things have gotten MUCH WORSE! We discovered that they damaged our sprinkler system. Their response to the issue was to sneak onto our property and dig up the damaged sprinkler head, break into the water control box, then leave... without repairing the additional damage they did to our yard!DO NOT do business with this company!
While traveling through Utah, approaching Monticello, UT on 191, I observed one of FiberTel’s trucks driving recklessly and nearly causing two crashes. This truck attempted to pass four vehicles at once on a two-laned road, where passing is legal. Two of the vehicles were trucks hauling travel trailers, another was a truck towing a vehicle and the last one was a SUV. He proceeded to attempt to pass all vehicles, but in mid-pass realized he wasn’t going to make it due to oncoming traffic. The truck then forced the SUV off the road, nearly causing a crash. He then attempted to pass the remaining truck/travel trailer and truck tow vehicle. During this attempt he had to make a quick retreat because he attempted the pass at the crest of a hill and I assume he didn’t see the oncoming car. He nearly sideswiped the trailer. He eventually passed all vehicles in this group, to only get stuck behind a FedEx tractor/trailer and numerous other vehicles where he remained until turning into a business in Monticello. If I was the owner/manager of FiberTel…I would have a serious issue with one of my guys driving this way, especially with my business name on it. If someone from FiberTel should read this, this happened on 6/21/21 at approximately 1230 pm. The driver was a male. The truck was a white DRW pickup. Last 3 digits of the Utah plate was 4JA.
Fibertel came in to install Google Fiber about 2 weeks ago. Just a week after that, I started to have major plumbing and sewage issues. After getting all new sewer line out out to the road, we found a blockage specifically at the line that Fibertel installed the Google Fiber. Using their directional boar, they collapsed my line and created a major plumbing disaster for me.
This is the #1 and second to none in fiber installation and plow jobs!!!
Fibertel is an amazing company that just keeps growing and making a name for themselves. The owners are some of the most kind hearted and genuine people I’ve ever met. They truly care about their employees. The staff is like one big family, and they care about the integrity of their work and the satisfaction of their clients. High quality work done in a timely manner.
This company parked a HUGE vehicle illegally, red curb and everything and caused an auto accident. They are now dodging responsibility and gave been giving all my insurance companies the run around. They were issued a parking citation in relation to the accident- so yes it was actually their fault. So yeah, if you want a company who disregards the safety of those around them then these are the people for you. Also if you look, all the positive reviews are by EMPLOYEES. The rest just talk about how unsafe this company is.
Excellent place! Very wonderful people!
Come on, Fibertel!!! You have to work outside my bedroom window at 2AM?!?!?! No notice of lack of sleep, just show up and slam doors on your trucks and honking horns as if it were the middle of the day.
Had a Fibertel employee driving a Fibertel truck and pulling a trailer try and run me off the road tonight while on my motorcycle in Santaquin. Then he drives past my house and threatens me. Called the cops and the emergency contact number at Fibertel. Is this who you want to have doing work for you??
Excellent
Recently had Fibertel running cable for Comcast through my yard and break a sprinkler line. When I found the problem and called fibertel they just kept taking msgs and never getting back to me. Had to fix on my own dime due to their negligence! If these guys show up on your property keep a very close eye!
This review is not about the actual service of the company but the lack of integrity and culture of the company. They did work next to our office in downtown Provo installing Fiber. Would have been nice to receive notice they would be using up our private owned parking spaces, shutting down sidewalk with access to our office, etc but we got over that quickly knowing the work was to help Provo. However, they broke through our main plumbing line which flooded waste water throughout two levels of our office and shut down operations of events going on for several days. I get accidents happen and that’s why we have insurance. However, the company will not communicate with our staff or our insurance so we had to arrange all repairs, make all payments and go through our own insurance then have our insurance company go after them. Their lack of communication, integrity to own a problem, and inability to respond to their responsibilities is a sign of poor leadership and a company I simply will never recommend and cannot trust.
These people dont give a damn about there employees. oh and by the way u better be a perfect person if u plan on being hired there
Great place to work, and the management are some of the best people Ive ever worked for.
This company is a joke. Tore out my lawn to do their installation. Destroyed the sprinkling system. Went out several times asking they be careful - they just shrugged it off continuing to destroy property and the sidewalk. They leave and it is my responsibility to have the damage repaired. And it does no good to complain as the county and the city of Taylorsville does not care. These folks just collect our taxes and spend our money any which way they can.
Uncovered/overfilled load of gravel in the back of a Fibertel truck had pebbles spewing out all over the freeway on my commute this morning. Thanks for the dents and window chips!
Great company to work for! They care about their employees and provide many opportunities to grow and learn in the Communications industry.
I found the construction-side of the employees to be horribly rude and pushy. They dont give ANY notice to what their needs will be and just expect a person to adhere to their demands. I was very unimpressed. If this is how this company does business...I will tell everyone I know
They screw with your paychecks so they dont have to pay you what they offer in there ads. also very dangerous work environment but they dont care about your safety as long as the jobs done and your putting money in the owners pocket!
A few guys that hopped out of a fibertel truck ran in front of me on a 4 lane road and I had to slam on my brakes.
