They over charged what was quoted. Thet asked me to provide the ladder (on a single story home), which I did but they couldnt lift. I had to do all the heavy work but they still didnt complete the job. They wouldnt get on the roof in the winter and said they cant get on the roof in the summer because it is too hot. They have been to my location 3 times and never have the tools, equipment or parts to complete the job.

Jim has been great. We had someone else install our fireplace insert and Jim noticed several problems when coming to sweep. He provided advice, talked to the installers on my behalf, and really stood up for me to get the issues fixed (for free!). He got me scheduled IMMEDIATELY after they were fixed to double check it and got us swept that day. He came out to my house, in the middle of nowhere, 4 times before we had the issues from previous people resolved and he finally got paid. Great and knowledgeable guy.

He was fantastic. We moved into our home in May and didnt know anything about our fireplace. He did an inspection and took the time to explain everything about our fireplace, the air intake system and everything I need to be aware of to have a safe fire in our home. Ill definitely use this service in the future to maintain our fireplace.

We bought a home that had been a rental to college guys for nearly a decade. We had no idea when the last time the chimney had been cleaned or the fireplace used, so we knew we had to call in a professional to take a look at it. This was the ONLY chimney sweep business in Utah County that answered their phone when I called (left messages with others but never heard back). The nice woman on the phone got me an inspection appointment booked for a few days later. The gentleman showed up early and was very nice. He took a look at my chimney and assessed that while it didnt need to be cleaned, it was missing a chimney cap. He installed one right then. He told me the damper handle had been removed from the fireplace when the fireplace insert was installed. He explained to me the steps I need to take to get a fire going and recommended I purchase a small fireplace grate. Very kind, very professional. I will be calling again when I need my chimney cleaned next year. We are excited to enjoy our fireplace this winter!

I called A Touch of Class on Thursday and got a Monday appointment. Jim was actually early and got right to work. He inspected my wood stove and confirmed that it needed to be cleaned. He explained everything he was doing and even warned me that the vacuum (which stayed outside) might startle the cats. THAT was thoughtful. He was eager to answer questions and I learned that hes been sweeping chimneys for 33 years, and I learned how to keep a chimney cleanest while having a nice warm home. When he was done, he vacuumed around the stove, and there was no mess at all. The whole process took about 30 minutes, including chat time. I will definitely be calling A Touch of Class next year when wood stove season has passed.
