G&V Landscaping did a fantastic job with our complete landscaping makeover. When we moved into our house, the backyard was caked in vegetation, old trees, a broken retaining wall, and a half functioning patio. Mario walked us through the options we had available and why it needed to be done. We were hesitant at first because of pricing, and we only did the bare minimum. However, we soon learned that Mario’s recommendations were all crucial steps toward a functioning backyard with proper drainage and adequate grading for proper egress/use. We eventually went through the motions of turning our backyard marsh into the ideal lawn. At the end of it all, G&V took down problematic trees, dug French drains that connects to our gutters, installed sod & mulch, built a patio, and placed gravel around the edges our deck. Mario and his company kept us informed every step of the way; they even stopped by after the work was done to ensure that all completed work checked all the boxes. We were very pleased with the high quality work and professionalism from G&V.

Ive used G&V Tree Service for my last couple of jobs and have been thoroughly impressed. They are extremely responsive and make sure the job is done to your expectations. They meet with you before the work is done to clarify what exactly needs to be done and then follow up with you after to make sure it was done correctly and satisfactorily. They keep you updated prior to their arrival and meet the times they quote. I did not get this level of professionalism from previous companies I contracted with for tree service. Their prices are also quite reasonable and when combined with the peace of mind they provide, it makes sense to use them for your project. Highly recommend.

We moved into a home with a yard that had not been touched in probably 20 years. It was so overgrown and covered in weeds and poison ivy. G & V cleaned it up for us and a year later Im still hearing from neighbors about how much better the yard looks.They also removed a lightning struck tree from the yard this summer. They were upfront that the removal would damage the ground and included ground repair as part of their estimate.These guys are friendly and professional. The great service started with the initial phone call. The person who set up my appointment was very courteous and knowledgeable.Once the employee arrived they were very courteous as well as kind. Told them my problem and they immediately set to work after a price was agreed upon.They brought down a large tree branch that had broken off but not fallen completely. Done quick and easy, with the ability to pay online straight from the invoice.

G&V responded promptly to our request for a an estimate to remove two medium size trees in our backyard. Gary came to our place in a matter of days, provided a very reasonable estimate, and in less than two weeks our trees were gone. The job took about an hour. There was nothing left behind except for two short stumps. We are very pleased with the service - thank you guys.

I am completely thrilled and impressed we are with the work G&V did at our house today.  They were punctual, polite, and INCREDIBLY efficient.  I was fascinated watching them work, and peaked out every chance I got.  Every single time, every single one of them was working.  If they werent actively cutting or hauling brush, they were coiling lines, or prepping the next tie off area.  It was like a ballet of hard work, sweat, and above all expertise.Last night I was wondering if the crew would be done before or after my husband got home from work.  I am in shock they were done by lunch!  My neighbor was so impressed with their speed and effectiveness, she asked for their number, and I happily passed it along.The crew was fast, friendly, and so precise dropping logs in between trees and plants we didnt want damaged I am still trying to wrap my mind around it!I will definitely continue to recommend G & V and wont call anyone else if/when we need more work done.

I recently had 3 trees removed from my property. Two were quite large and at the top of a steep hill. I couldnt believe how fast they were. They arrived at 7am and were done cutting before noon and came back later that day to to remove the wood. My only complaint is that in the process they damaged my fence. They didnt mention it to me, I noticed it later that day. I understand that things can happen when removing trees, but I really wish they had said something, and maybe offered to fix it or something. The damage was enough that I find it hard to believe that they wouldnt have noticed. The fence wouldnt close all the way. And it was pretty obvious that a large piece of tree had landed on it, so someone had to have moved the piece of tree from the fence. I just wish someone had said something.

Crew of 6 came to remove two huge trees in our neighbors yard (between our houses). The Entire crew worked hard The Entire Time, wore safety equipment & worked safely, communicated well with each other. The work was efficient, controlled, careful & intentional. They thoughtfully moved our grill (on the other side of the fence) out of harms way (and replaced it at the end), trimmed the few damaged (couldnt be helped) branches on our tree (without being asked) and we were not the client. Afterward, they not only cleaned up everything but also dug up the divets & worked to reasonably level the ground gouges made by falling heavy branches. They raked, shoveled & blew clean the street after moving a mountain of sawdust. The equipment & trucks on the street were parked courteously & coned. So impressed with the job. Our neighbor is so pleased & we are grateful for the above & beyond mindfulness on our account.

These guys restored our life from disaster in one day. I called Mario at 6:30 pm, 30 minutes after the wind storm. . By 4:00 pm the next day the two trees that fell on my garage and both cars were cut up and gone. All that was left were the two dirt mounds where the stumps had been ground and removed.I have used G&V numerous times for tree work over the past 5 years and would use no others. Thanks G&V!

8/29/2018Ive never seen a tree taken down so fast and weve had A LOT of trees taken down! We got 4 quotes for this tall, leaning Virginia Pine. One tree company wouldnt touch it without a crane. G & V had the best price.Marcelo, Mico, and Reynaldo arrived and quickly went to work. Within AN HOUR, the tree was down. Ill post photos. This was a dangerous tree, but they had a system and worked as a well oiled machine. The gentleman pulling the limbs to the chipper didnt just walk to the chipper, he jogged. I dont know how he did it in the oppressive heat.The staff of G & V are top notch from the point of contact with Alex, the estimator to Edwin in the office. Well never use another tree company. Im even thinking about some landscaping for the yard!Thanks, G & V.

Gary came to provide an estimate for a stump removal project, but quickly realized that the stump could be removed fairly easily with the use of a shovel. He did the work on the spot for only a small fee. He was extremely professional and friendly.

A crew of four men arrived early to prune a 2 story tall cherry tree and a 6ft shrub. While I described what I wanted the men worked quickly and one was cleaning as they worked. The job was completed in 15 minutes. I paid the minimum of $250 for the job and plan to hire them in the future. Although the crew speaks English, I felt more comfortable communicating in Spanish. Hire G&V to grind several large tree stump. The staff arrive on time and grind it as deep as possible to give us space for future planning. Cleaning the work location after finished work. Price is reasonable and response quickly in every step.Highly recommended.

Their price was excellent. They did a great job taking the trees out, and cleaned up very well. Getting the stumps ground took a month due to issues co-ordinating with Miss Utility, but overall I was extremely pleased with their services.

We used G and V to finish a stump removal that another company did poorly. We were impressed with their knowledge, pricing, and the quality of the finished product. We called them later on to lay sod in our yard and were again impressed with the quality and fair price. I’ve spoken to many tree and landscaping companies in the area but I will stick with G and V from now on.

I had a large Maple tree that needed to be topped off. I contacted a couple of companies who had left their cards at my address. While looking up a phone number for one of the companies, G & V Tree and Landscaping Service popped up on the screen so I added it to the list for proposals and I am very glad I did. I had a variety of tree work that included cutting down an old tree to limbing up 2 huge maples to stump grinding. The full job was priced fairly and extremely competitively compared to bids by other companies. The arborist, Gary, is so knowledgeable and provided valuable expertise on which items to complete now and which should wait for late winter in order to safeguard some of the trees. The work was completed quickly, safely, and perfectly with the absolute nicest crew Ive ever worked with!

The trees removed were very small and they got them super close to the ground. Pruning and removal of dead limbs exceeded our expectations. We were impressed by how quickly and thoroughly they work.

There was some miscommunication where they initially failed to replace some landscaping rocks and removed plants they were supposed to leave; however, they went above and beyond in addressing the issue without incurring additional costs, and were very reassuring in their communications that they would make everything right. I appreciated their work and am overall very pleased with their service.

Yesterday, they removed two diseased Plum trees, including stumps, and pruned nine others, including three large Maples, a River Birch, and a Bradford Pear. Rene and his crew of three showed up on time, got right to work after checking in with me, and I dont think Ive seen a group work so efficiently. Later on, a fifth worker showed up with a self-propelled stump grinding tool. After the work, they cleaned up so well I couldnt even tell they had been there, except for two missing trees, and nine others professionally pruned and shaped. On top of that, they offered a ten percent off coupon for Angies List members, saving me a nice sum of money. I also have to thank Jamie, who came out to work up our estimate, and those in the office who were on top of the scheduling and communication. I couldnt be happier, and will absolutely use them again the next time I need tree service. No need to just take my word for it, though. Check out their reviews on Angies List, Yelp, and Google. Theyre outstanding, and for good reason.Note: I contacted Freedom Tree Service on the same day as G & V via their contact form on their website and never heard from them. Arrived on time and did amazing and dramatic job oftree removal. Only issue was there should be more clean up of the resulting debris as I have had growth resulting from the removal every year.Jeff

G & V pruned a large oak tree. The branches were extending over my house. The squirrels were becoming a problem and the sun was blocked causing issues with my container veggie garden raised on my deck. G & V came with all the gear to do the job. I was applauding their work during the visit. I was happy with the price, and the ability to get the work done within days. Also, I was pleased with the care exercised to protect my property during the work. They also pruned a tree by my driveway that had begun to knock me in the head due to lower branches extending too far out. My neighbor commented how good my tree looked compared to the work done by another company on an adjacent common area tree. These guys are examples of good business practices. We had a tree fall on our house and this company responded quickly with a bid and put us ahead of other jobs to do that work. They did a skillful job and removed a huge tree from on top of our roof without causing any more damage. I would recommend and I will use these guys again.

G&V Tree removed 2 trees, their stumps, and hauled away all debris for $2380 in January 2019. Took them 4 hours and they did a great job. One large branch hit my gutter and dented it but they had someone smooth it out and repair damage before the job was done. I didnt even have to point it out. I would hire them again.

I could not be happier with G&V tree service, they did an amazing job in my backyard. They removed a tree plus it’s stump. They also trimmed some banches on my other trees. The office staff was very professional and fast. The field personnel showed up early and did an amazing job; they even picked up the sawdust from the parking lot that they dropped. Most importantly their prices are very competitive. I would use this company again.

I’m very disappointedwith their customer service. I had a confirmed appointment at 8am. I communicated with the Edwin (who scheduled my appointment) that I’m a nurse and was working the night shift before. I paid $19.50 to take the toll road home so I wouldn’t leave the technician waiting, and it’s almost an hour past my appointment time. I tried calling the office twice and have not received an answer. Given the fantastic reviews, I had such high hopes, but now I’m just beyond disappointed.

I cant say enough great things about G & V. I called because one of our maple trees had been knocked down during a storm. Came out for a very reasonable estimate next day which led me to add the removable of some branches from our neighbors monstrous tree. They arrived on time, removed the tree the blink of an eye and planted our new one. They even added mulch to our other maple which was so nice of them. They did an amazing job of the branch removal which was not easy since it was all by hand. Not for the faint of heart! Got a lot of advice on how to keep our trees healthy.
