Contractor did not complete job as promised. Hedge was trimmed uneven, and some debris was blown under the bushes instead of removed. He said he would return when I complained and he never did, so I had to do it. He also did not coat trimmed tree branches against weather as promised He was able to install only 3 sets of shutters of 7. He quoted the job, he knew the circumstances. I would never use this company again for anything.

Ron and team were excellent at what they do. He presents himself as a professional with customer service at the heart of his business. He knows what he is talking about, as he is a Certified Arborist; and listens to what you want done. We needed two overgrown patio trees trimmed up. If it were not for physical constraints, I probably would have done myself given as I own all the tools, however, I have been saying that for two years and it was time for action.Ron and crew did an excellent job crown shaping and lifting while cleaning and dead wooding. They did it carefully, respectfully, quickly and put all the patio furniture and other items back in place while cleaning up the area thoroughly and hauling away the debris.There was not any payment pressure and he trusts you to pay after his team is complete and you are fully satisfied. Pricing was fair and reasonable as well. We get trimmers roaming for jobs in our neighborhood as if it is a drive-through and Ron was the first Arborist I have selected that I felt no anxiety or need to hover over. I will be calling him back year after year as we planted over 20 trees over the years and they need lots of 40-70 love now. I also will have him plant a new 20 tree later in the fall.For what it is worth, Rons company is rated by the BBB as A+ although he is not accredited. Although some businesses have found success with the BBB, for the majority of home-service companies, the costs (fees) are likely to outweigh the benefits. He does not use the accreditation seal and does not proclaim to be accredited but does list BBB as a resource for ratings purposes which is fair so you can see how the company has been rated.

Ron did a great job for a reasonable price. I would hire him again next time I need trees removed or trimmed. I would recommend Ron to anyone who ask.

I would not hire them again. They do not have the ability to work on mature trees. They left saying they had to borrow a saw to bring down my tree trunks, one is down the other is 10 ft tall and standing in my front yard. They made an excuse that the tree ruined a blade and they walked away. Now i have to spend MORE MONEY to have it removed. They also did a poor job thinning out my other trees. So much for satisfaction guaranteed. I feel ripped off for $2000.00

Ron and his crew are three of the hardest working guys I have seen in a long time. They looked at my messy backyard and wanted to know what I wanted done: when I told him, he said okay. And it was done that same day. I will use them again.

Our neighbor hired Ron Fife to take down a huge oak that was right next to our driveway. We watched his crew work and were very impressed, so we asked them to come back for three more big trees in our yard. We were very, very happy with their skill and professionalism. We would definitely recommend them, and will definitely call “Before and After Tree and Construction” for future tree work.

Did a wonderful job in my kitchen remodeling

Ron & his son just took down two pine trees (one being 40 ft tall) and removed five shrubs in my yard. They were very professional of the job they were doing. I would highly recommend them. In fact they will be returning to do some additional work. They did not leave the worksite until everything was totally cleaned up.

This company is amazing. Reasonable, respectful, and hard working. Took down 2 very large trees and stayed working non stop. Highly recommend this company. Owner was very professional and explained exactly what he was doing step by step. My trees were right in powerlines, over my home, and fences and NO DAMAGE at all. A++

BEWARE!!!!! Ron said “I have a 5 star rating with BBB” and advertises to be licensed bonded and insured. The company is not even accredited with BBB, and I asked over 15 times to see evidence of insurance which he declined and failed to show proof of insurance. Are they hard workers? Yes. Professional? NO. He asked for $1000 down the day he arrived to start the work and said I would not pay balance until job done. I have 4 different receipts to show proof that each day they came and worked he asked for more money each day. He had not finished the job the day he demanded payment in full (deadwooding of pine tree not done) and after several instances when he didn’t show up as promised he offered to come back out and finish his work per the contract however I told him for the 16th or 17th time unless he could show proof of insurance he could not return. So he didn’t come back. He lied about an incident that happened the first day they were there. I did not recall them having anyone up in the tree the first day in which DP&L confirmed there were 2 power surges because his tree climber hit the utility line to my house (eye witnessed by my neighbor) causing damage to new air conditioner unit, (was without AC the hottest week of the summer) blew out the garage door opener, ruined the upright freezer in my garage, a ceiling fan in my house, also blew out the computer in my wall oven which have cost me well over $2000 to repair. When I asked him about what the neighbor said that he saw, Ron said he was lying that there was no one up in the tree the first day, yet my daughter showed me a picture that was time and date stamped proving that his worker WAS in the tree the day of the power surges and when I confronted him with the evidence his response was that it was all a big misunderstanding and that he should have clarified that. It was more than a misunderstanding, what he said was not true (basically he lied). Ron also told an electrical contractor who came out to look into possible upgrading my electric to 200 amp service that he was aware of the power surges that first day. Lesson learned is never do business with a company who advertises something without verifying it before signing any contracts!!!
