Impossible to get someone on the phone. It is ridiculous. Also, was charged 190 dollars for a no show, when we did show and we were told there was no record of my son having an appointment. We called everyone but Santa Claus and left voicemails in at least 5 different places to ensure that they fixed their mistake so we did not get charged. Yet, still charged us. I just left about 3 more voicemails. Hopefully someone finally calls back.

A horrible experience with this company. Was difficult to get an appointment even after an urgent referral from my primary care physician as no one ever answered the phone, only able to leave messages and no one getting back to me after calling multiple times. I was given incorrect information about my billing, at the fault of Springfield Psychological, costing me hundreds of dollars. When they finally reached out about the issue after I complained to my therapist they left me a voicemail which I called right back about yesterday and the day before, only to be able to leave messages that they never follow up on. Still waiting to hear back. Such a shame because the therapist Michele Stein has been amazing, understanding, compassionate and helpful in the sessions I’ve had with her, but the way the company is run it make me not want to go back.

This place is a scam. It was a waste of time and money. If you really value your mental health, then go somewhere else. My friend came here for help and Instead of getting any real advice, the therapist was flat out trying to milk her out of my money. She came here for help, and instead she unnecessarily suffered for a whole year cause of their manipulation. She came her for help and instead she got out of the energy wasting sessions and trying to find ‘vibes’ and ‘energy’ around her. Essentially you are paying $200 to see a shaman, which is not what she was looking for. We could have gone to a shaman if we wanted to feel the energy of the earth for maybe $20 Also, be wary when you try to indefinitely cancel your sessions cause you will have to directly talk to your therapist and they will try to manipulate you so they can milk you more. My advice: stay far far away from this place.

Very ineffective. A friend of mine went here to receive help, ended up being scammed. No real resolution was achieved just a constant cycle of weekly sessions. The therapist sounded more like a salesperson than being interested in helping. It’s always about scheduling the next meeting rather than helping today. When requested to terminate secession permanently, therapist tried to schedule more future follow ups to ensure it was the right choice. A complete waste of time and money.

I can never get someone on the phone, even when calling during business hours. It is so hard to schedule an appointment when you are constantly playing phone tag. On top of that, if I cant schedule an appt. I cant get my medications refilled. I suggest they either hire a full time scheduling coordinator or make online scheduling available.

This place has literally been a lifesaver for my family! I have always been treated with kindness and professionalism and the therapist we used was amazing. There has been so much progress as a result of her expertise so I would highly recommend.

Therapist had no idea what she was doing and the session was an overall traumatic experience. In a crisis, one expects therapy to be helpful, but I had the opposite experience. I can not recommend this office.

I’m leaving a review because the woman I spoke with, Cheryl, was extremely helpful compared to the other centers I spoke with. I got much further in my research process because she went above and beyond to offer suggestions and an additional resource that I don’t think would have been done anywhere else. Even though they don’t specialize in the area I needed, I’d refer them to others because of the tact and standards in customer relations:)

Can’t recommend. Therapists are not well trained and don’t offer any actual help or advice. The therapist I saw was unprofessional and the billing department was constantly sending me bills for services paid. If you need therapy please don’t settle for this place. Therapists are spiteful and bad at what they do. Elizabeth was never on time and basically gave up when i gave her criticism.

I’ve never been to a mental health practice before Springfield psychological but I’m pretty sure having one meeting, telling you what you already know, then ignoring all your contact attempts (phone & email) is not the proper way to treat a patient.

The doctors I have seen here were nice, but I cant afford to go anymore since my insurance is a joke. The billing department on the other hand is very unprofessional and flat out liars. God help you if you have a large bill, they wont give a care in the world, they just want their money. I expect this from banks and big corporate places but a place like this being heartless is what is wrong with the mental health care in this country today. Also dont ever miss an appointment with out having 48 HRS yes you read that right 2 damn days notice, they will charge your card they demand you keep on file $55. What a joke, I get 24 but 48 hrs come on! This place needs to learn a bit of compassion, especially since they are in the business of helping.

Ive been jumping around between therapists here for a few years now. Most of the therapists either dont take me seriously or just dont seem to know what to do. Some are straight up questionable in their practices. I get the feeling they are just trying to make money, not really trying to help me, just trying to get through the day. Same with the psychiatrists. I had one who wouldnt listen to my anxiety problems at all (Dr. Dattu) telling me I seemed like a pretty chill guy, until finally he relegated me to Alison who actually listens. One of my least fav things is how they can cancel within hours of an appointment just like that, but I have to give 48 hours notice no exception or I get charged. Some of the secretaries are very nice and helpful. But overall Im extremely frustrated.

They won’t accept my insurance and they won’t let me pay out of pocket. Everyone always says to get help when you’re depressed, but it’s not very likely unless you’re lucky. What an utterly useless practice!

We were quite disappointed in this facility. First it took months to get an appointment. I think that is a bit ridiculous for someone who is seeking help. The staff was snippy with us and didnt really provide any guidance. When we finally were able to see the psychiatrist she refused to treat us. If you would really like help, go anywhere else.

Horrible. These people dont seem to understand the fact that they are running a mental health treatment facility, and therefore getting back to clients in a timely manner is CRITICAL to their well-being. My boyfriend--a client that has been going there for therapy for months--decided to set up an apt with a psychiatrist so that he could start meds. They got him in relatively quickly, but about 1-2 weeks after he started the meds, the psychiatrist went on a MONTH-LONG vacation and was not available to contact. This is bad practice, as those first few weeks after beginning a medication are very important to monitor...especially since he had never been on meds before. Obviously people should be allowed to take vacation, but my issue is that they didnt have anyone filling in for her while she was gone. My boyfriend called multiple times to try telling them that he was worried the meds werent working and that he felt terrible, but apparently no other psychiatrists were available for him to discuss his options with. So he had to wait until his psychiatrist came back, a full six weeks after he began the meds, and all the while they were doing absolutely nothing for him. If someone had been available for him during this time, he couldve discussed switching meds or at the very least, increasing his dosage. Now that shes finally back in town, he was scheduled to see her today, finally ready to get his mental health on the right track after being delayed WEEKS. No such luck, because today, THE DAY OF HIS APPOINTMENT, they call him and say that theyre cancelling and he needs to reschedule. So let me get this straight: when the client cancels on the day of, they get charged an exorbitant fee for missing the appointment. But when the provider does it, were just supposed to be ok with that? Unacceptable. These practices would be frustrating at any business, but border on dangerous when you realize that they are responsible for treating mentally unstable individuals. Cancelling such an important appointment last minute can be catastrophic for someone with severe anxiety, as can ignoring their pleas about their meds not working for weeks on end while theyre left to suffer and wait for someone to finally be responsible about this. Its unacceptable. Go elsewhere for treatment.

I saw so many reviews of people having issues with being charged for missed appointments that I just said to myself - no biggie, Ill just be early. I saw Betsy Gerbert as a counselor for several months with no issues. She was nice, pleasant, and tried to be helpful. Recommended I see one of their psychologists to try medication so I made an appointment and waited. The wait time was about 2 months. All the while, my anxiety/depression symptoms were not getting any better. Day of my appointment comes, I get an email the day before confirming my appointment for 4:30 pm. I arrive at 4:15 pm and am told by a very condescending receptionist I am 15 minutes late and cant be seen. I explain thats not possible as I scheduled my appt for 4:30 and received confirmation of 4:30. Her response was that they have 4 pm in their system so I cant be seen and I owe them $175. My anxiety (which was already bad) skyrockets and I start to panic. I try to explain again and she isnt having any of it. Totally uncaring - an awful personality for a psychiatrists office! She then asks if I want to reschedule for another 2 months down the line, and asks how I plan on paying the $175. I tell her wont be since I had proof that my appt was for 4:30 and left. I proceded to have a panic attack in the parking lot. The best part? The same woman had the audacity to call me the next day and tell me that since I misread my email and was late I needed to pay them their $175 and demanded I give her my credit card info. I told her that I didnt appreciate her tone and I wouldnt be paying for something that wasnt my fault. She laughed and hung up! Terrible practice, will NEVER recommend them!
