Wow! I cannot say enough good things about OCC. if you’ve never been to therapy before, I will say that finding the right fit for you may be trial and error — If you get plugged in and the therapist you’re with doesn’t quite “vibe” that’s okay. Let them know, they’re here to help.Lots of people are seeking therapy so there might be a little wait, but don’t let that deter you from getting the mental and behavioral health support that you need.They really do try their best here to meet your needs, as I’ve experienced myself.The care from my therapist is obvious and genuine. I appreciate being in a place that hears me and doesn’t cast judgment.It’s scary to be vulnerable, even with a professional! But they’ve made my sessions and every experience from phone calls to appointment reminders and even the financial portion, all wonderful exchanges. This office and my therapist have served me so well and I am very grateful.

Clarissa had no grace or forgiveness. They bungled my disability appeal. A poc who struggles with mental health dropped from their program on a whim. I felt Josh was unprofessional and very fake in this way. Go somewhere better they do not respect your privacy or safety.

Dont bother going or trying to book an appointment if your on Medicaid you wont ever get an appointment apparently mental health is only for the rich.

Tried to set up an appointment never even got a call back I guess if you need help you better let him know several weeks in advance

Attending OCC has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. They are flexible and understanding of income status, personality fits, and ultimately are client centered. I have been with my therapist for about two years and have healed and learned so much. She was willing to adjust my therapy style to my needs and is always empathetic and resourceful. I have learned how to open up about my past and have been able to feel safe. The front desk has been accommodating and are kind to me no matter the situation I’m in. Thankful for this place

My family and I have appreciated the counselors services weve seen in the past. However, the front desk who answers calls leaves a lot to be desired.

My counselor helped me get organized with all the things I have going on in my life including the death of my mother. After a few visits I felt comfortable with the changes and confident I could cheerfully embrace them. What an empowering experience!

I have been going here on & off for many years. The staff are always professional & friendly. I have recommended this facility to a number of individuals & would do so again. I truly feel the counselors/therapists are some of the finest in the area.

Fantastic.I was recommended to seek out Kevin for my 10yr son.Kevin has been working with my son for about 8 months and we already see a difference.This was our second stop after Mercys behavior center, and we are pleased with the switch.I will be passing this place to any friends in need. They see adults and kids:)

My experience there started out okay, and ended with being less than satisfying. I was always friendly to the woman at the front desk, and she wasn’t conversational and came across as rude. I wasn’t told when I was enrolling in their services that my counselor was an intern. I loved my counselor while I had her, but I don’t believe every time their college semester ends I should have to find room in my schedule for the next intern that comes in, and have to start over with a new person. It’s too inconvenient, and not worth the trouble of going back.

My experience was okay. I found that two out of the three counselors that I had often shared a great deal of their personal self. I should have set up clear boundaries because it took away from my experience. My first counselor was wonderful and I was not comfortable transferring to other counselors due to the interruption of internships.

BE AWARE! If you work difficult hours like overnight or in general have a job that requires more of you than a regular shift, SEEK OTHER HELP. These people deny mental health services to anyone they deem are worth too much trouble. Save yourself the time and please seek help elsewhere. Mental health can be such a serious thing, and the way we were just treated by these folks show that they cared much less for the mental heath services they claim to provide and much, much more about getting the paycheck for the appountment, even when a family death interferes.

Adding to my former review.Rebecca apparently said that she felt unsafe when I, a transgender person, and parent of a transgender child, spoke about my recent oppression and how this affects my child. I was angry, and rightfully so!Rebecca said she didnt want me to be angry, and when I stated that anger is a valid emotion, she cancelled our session.I have now been apparently banned from using all services within the counseling center.For being an oppressed minority and speaking in a safe space about that oppression.This is corporate bigotry, and corporate oppression!! Transgender people are not safe here.

They care about the people they see, they are always professional and do the best they can to help you through any situation. I couldnt ask for more.

My counselor takes the time to understand mt needs and helps me find a way to better myself. I have gone to other places and none of them compare to here.
