I’ve been to the Harvey office for Methadone treatment, Manteno for inpatient, and Springfield for inpatient....and my life has been saved! Mr Marvin In Harvey is absolutely amazing and has great personal, but totally professional relationships with all his clients. Manteno: outstanding! Ms. Yolanda and Ms. Carol are were once where we were...now they save lives, like mine. Springfield, Ms. Kathy rocks!!! I can’t speak on Chicago because I’ve never been there. So seriously, for all the ones with negative comments, the problem was more than likely YOU weren’t ready to be honest with yourself, and YOU weren’t ready to surrender to the program. This program isn’t new, if you paid attention you’d know when it started, where it started, and by whom started it. Instead you are complaining about a counselor or 2 and forgetting if YOU didn’t make the choices you did you wouldn’t of had to go to any of the places, or fluctuate your Methadone dose amount, or deal with attitudes. When I was using I woulda dealt with anyone’s attitude to get clean, considering I was hanging out with the devil everyday. Time for some folks to get honest and stop pointing fingers!! Be blessed everyone!

I went myself and overall had a helpful experience. Yes there were times of staff being unreasonable or taking their authority control a little to much but there are also ones who genuinely care and want to help. I am still involved with my counselor and doing outpatient and will continue using there services and would recommend it to friends who are struggling. ❤

We tried for a month trying to get our Granddaughter into a rehab for mental and drug help. We were so happy when we were finally told she had a bed at FGC but after bringing her there i wondered if it was the wrong place for her. Staff were cold not very friendly and after just 4 days she was told she had to leave because of her attitude ? I maybe wrong but dont most people with drug and mental problems have attitude? and shouldnt their employees be able to deal and help the patients so that their attitude will change about being there? I would have thought they would have given her the help she needed .....instead of kicking her out ...Sad would not send anyone here that truly needs help :(

This place is a joke not to mention the so called head counselor or director ( WES )actually. Never got his position in the facility. The only person that knew anything about anything was the receptionist.. but, i have been on this program since 2009 Im wanting a transfer from Springfield Treatment Center which BTW is a GREAT Facility! The problem Im having is paying out of pocket Im helping my family. First, WES says o have to go down to 180mgs from 260. So after a week of calling no response from WES the professional one. I finally went there in person now Wes says I have to go to 140mg but is not even offering to detox me down after I repeatedly told him my financial situation.. He also said a person talking 260mgs of methadone is intoxicating when everyone in the facility was nodding out being woke up by the nurse laughing. So anyway hopefully Ill find some where to go Im sure Ill be driving hours everyday. But, Im sure there is no sweat off of FAMILY GUIDANCE CENTER OF SPRINGFIELD, ILL OR WES DIRECTOR OF WHATEVER. 😬😠😕

Post #2 So after weeks and weeks of trying to get in this place I finally did. You would of thought after trying forever to get in and I did everything would be 👍!! Wrong I have never been treated so BAD, nursing staff is horrible every time i go in this facility I feel like Im bothering these nurses Im at the point to where Im even 😨 to ask to be increased btw, Ive went from 260mgs to now 75mgs and feeling I think the worst I have ever felt in my life and THats even being on heroin. I know that I cant go past a certain amount but i cant even get there. Its a SHAME Im going to have or being FORCED to go back to PAID clinic that I cant afford but what is one to do. Idk if Im even going to get a COUNSELOR to call me back!!! 😰😥😥😢
