I volunteered as an art therapist and it makes sense why it took so long for them to fill in that volunteer spot. The staff at the Community Center location was terrible to the individuals. Treated them like dogs. Natalie, a staff member was starving an individual. When I confronted her, her and her co-workers tag teamed me and attacked me for just trying to help out. When I spoke to Denise about this emergency matter- she shrugged it off and said she had an important meeting to go to. Please do not volunteer here. They need to hire better more competent employees that love and care about their job instead of just working it to pay their bills. It shows how much they hate their jobs and it’s a shame that no one is speaking up. I left a voicemail to the director a few weeks ago and no response. I will have no problem taking this to the news.

The employees are truly dedicated to helping the disabled. MVLE assist with giving them the tools necessary to thrive in the world while at the same time giving them a friend.
