Wonderful staff - saved the dog who I brought in on emergency. While I had wished for a Good Samaritan discount since it wasn’t my pet, I didn’t get it.. price was high but that’s pretty standard for this service. The staff ensured me of the dogs well being, saved her then got her into a rehab place until she could be homed. Really impressed with the care and attention to this case all around.
My husband had to take our puppy in, because she jumped out of a car window when he was taking the dogs somewhere (yes, my husband is in the doghouse). She was limping and her left hind knee had started to swell a little. She also had a couple of scrapes from hitting the concrete. They were fast and professional. The vet was so nice and called me to explain everything he wanted to do to treat her, in an easy to understand, kind, and professional way. In addition to the treatments she received at the clinic, she was sent home with antibiotics, antiinflammatories, and pain medication, so she would be comfortable once she got home. Yes, this place costs more than other vets, but it is an emergency clinic. You would pay more for an ER visit for yourself, compared to your regular doctor visits. We thank you for taking such good care of our Luna!
If only we had looked at the reviews before we brought our dog in for after surgery care. They tried to overcharge us from the get go. We told them to get our dog we didnt want service if they were going to charge us for fees we were told we wouldnt have as a transfer. From there it was fixed, UNTIL it was time to pick up our furbaby. They then added charged for charges already paid for!! We were told the office manager would call us later and fix it, but they wouldnt give us our dog until it was paid, even if they knew it was in error. Our sweet girl came out shivering and cold (they tried to keep her blanket and we are not sure she was covered while there) and her nose and eyes full of crusty stuff. She could hardly move. Shes was much more alert and mobile when we tookl her in the night before. She passed not long after. We lost our girl and my family is heartbroken. She was there to be monitored, but it was clear no monitoring occurred. I cant believe we put her through that. Please read the other reviews and be diligent when it comes to your pet. I wish to God we would have. We are reaching out to all the governing bodies in our area to help ensure others dont go through what we did. If you have had a bad experience there, if encourage you to do the same.
It’s five am and they wouldn’t tell me if I should bring my dog in to them or not for a hot spot that is infected. They wouldn’t tell me if their prices were high compared to seeing a local vet, but looking at the reviews they seem to be noticeably high. I need to know if I need to take my dog in for emergency care and it’s frustrating that pricing and advice are being gate-kept in this fashion. They feed off of people’s worst fears in this way. I just want care for my dog without letting them “give me an estimate” for any care they do after I’ve already paid them $100 just for him to be seen. What am I supposed to do, pull him out of their clinic after I hear an estimate of $3000 and dally on over to another one? Go shopping around while my dog suffers? If the woman I spoke to had been sympathetic in anyway, I wouldn’t be writing this review, by the way. Get a new receptionist.
My 4 year old lab was chasing a fox and ran into some old cattle fence resulting in a pretty large laceration on her inner thigh. With no other vets open I rushed her here and was greeted with friendly faces. They took her back immediately to get her vitals. They happened to be very busy that night so the wait for her to see the vet was a few hours, understandably. The vet herself was very kind and explained the injury and procedure thoroughly. I picked her up the next morning. It was roughly $700 for the sedation cost, stitches and a drain, and her medications. I don’t know what I would’ve done without their care, and would trust them again with her in any emergency situation.
I dont recommend this place for a sick dog. They seem to only read google for info. The ladys words was only what google said directly but looks like they have no knowledge. Be careful going to places like Animal emergency specialists they never own a pet in there life before. Book smart but no knowledge
Took my sweet Sage in after she had a severe allergic reaction to a bee sting. The staff and Dr. Eaves were very caring and thorough. I received very detailed information, including cost up front, and felt like they genuinely cared about the health and recovery of my Sage. Afterwards, I was emailed the detailed report (which I thought was nice if I needed to follow up with my regular vet). It’s one of those services you hope you don’t need, but are very thankful to have should another emergency occur. Thank you.
We had to take our beloved 11 year old cat DiNozzo to them last night for an emergency situation that turned out to be congestive heart failure( he was our daughters therapy cat for her Austim, she adopted him when she was 12). They met us at the door and immediately took him back and then came back for permission to give him a pain shot. I am so impressed with everyone who helped our baby. They were super sweet and quick to respond to his needs. Unfortunately we felt it best after speaking with the Dr to let our boy go. They explained everything in great detail and treated him without even mentioning anything about cost, ( which was only $390.00 which included euthanasia and cremation with a beautiful rosewood box and plaque). We were able to spend as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes .They also gave us a beautiful gift of his paw prints. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this emergency vet clinic, the staff and Dr are truly a godsend..Thank you to the staff and Dr for helping our sweet kitty.
I have no problems with the treatment that my dog got. However was very disappointed and quite honestly disgusted at what happens during my dogs time there. My dog, who is fully vaccinated against everything, caught kennel cough from being at the clinic. When I called to ask about it, it was assumed that my dog had it before she had been there and that it could never have come from there. Now after paying an arm and a leg just to save my dogs life, I now have to pay for medication for BOTH OF MY DOGS WHO NOW HAVE KENNEL COUGH!! I am beyond upset about this.
The vet was amazing! She called me multiple times personally to inform me about my dogs condition. The staff was completely unknowable ( which i accepted at first ) because I know training isn’t always easy. BUT when my dog passed away I had simple requests. I wanted his paw print, his ashes, and I wanted his collar back. His ashes are safely home with me now, but I have never received his paw print or his collar. The only response I have gotten from them is “ we are looking for it.” Since this is the only overnight vet in my area i expected more. I trusted them with my baby because they offered the very best care possible yet i ended up being more broken because my wishes were never fulfilled.
Wonderful staff! I brought my 1 year old beagle in to be cared for after she jumped out of my moving vehicle and ended up breaking her femur. I was distraught and the staff was so caring, consoled me over the phone when I called for a check up on her, and the doctor was very kind to me and gave me all of the options that we could look into and referred us to the best orthopedic vet surgeon in NWA. I cannot thank this staff and the doctors enough for keeping my baby comfortable and keeping this momma calm!

He’s with his sister Ziva romping and playing again.
We brought our corgi in for eating some snacks that he wasnt supposed to and they were super quick with everything and called us and had the doctor explain everything in great detail! They honestly treat you with better customer service than a human hospital and the two girls (Kim & Riley) at the front are super sweet
They took extremely good care of my Feisty kitty while she was there! They did a very good job of communicating with me about her condition and kept me updated about her. You could tell they really cared just by the way they talked about her. They where upfront about all of the costs involved which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend if your fur baby has an emergency!
My dog went in having some trouble breathing. Less than 48 hours later he died alone in a cage because this emergency vet that charged me over $2500 in less than 48 hours, can’t afford to put a monitor on my dog. A dog that they diagnosed as have cardiac and respiratory issues. So he laid there in cardiac distress until someone finally noticed, but by then it was too late and they couldn’t bring him back. Bear was the best dog. Because of their complacency and lack of care he is gone and nothing can fix that. I can’t explain how angry and sad we are. I would caution anyone that has to take their pets here to ask a lot of questions and ensure they are properly caring for your pet or go anywhere else. He was supposed to come home today..... that’s what they told us. Imagine not knowing your job well enough to know the difference between being able to send a dog home and it dying. They said he would be fine and we could take him home. We didn’t even get to say goodbye.
They were incredibly empathetic with us whenever we had to put our family dog down, they were very patient, showed sincere sympathy, and were all very professional throughout the whole experience. They even sent a condolences card to our home address after they helped us through that hard time. We sincerely thank them ❤️
They have saved two of my animals and I’m forever thankful.
I honestly wish I could give more stars! The front desk and the Vet were so good with my Puppy. I am honestly glad and so thankful for them! Definitely would trust them 100% Id recommend them to anyone AND Everyone!!! Thank you Animal Emergency Clinic!
I wish to God there was a negative scale this place could be rated on. 1 star is far too generous. My friend dropped her cat off here for emergency services her calls were never returned in the animal suffered more than it needed to as a result of their negligence and lack of response. Absolutely positively never bring your animals here for any type of quality care or Emergency Services.
Yesterday my dog was seriously injured, it was Saturday so of-course our regular vet was closed so I had to take her here, the staff and the Vets are VERY nice and compassionate, I had called and told them I was coming and they met me at the front door as I came in with my dog, it was truly comforting to me to see how much they cared about my dog and handled a very stressful situation very professionally, I hope that I never HAVE to go here again, but if I do, I know my dog will always be in great hands! And thats worth more than anything!!!!!!!! Thank you guys for EVERYTHING you did for Katie yesterday!! She is doing a lot better!
THANK YOU for helping our sweet furbaby with his emergency back issue! Everyone was so kind and compassionate, and Dr. Rushing is amazing!! Just one day later, Marty is feeling so much better. This is the third or fourth time Ive been to this facility in the past 20 years, and I have been pleased/impressed each time. It may be pricey, but it is an ER so that is to be expected.
When it came to my dog, they listened to me, confronted me, very informative, made me feel safe along with my dog. I definitely recommend this place, they even gave me a paw print of my dog along with a second one for my dad.... Even though it was such a hard and sad process to unfortunately put down my dog, they made it feel like a breeze and made it quick!
If your vet is closed and you cant get in touch with them, this is the place to go. They will save your pets life, they will let you know the cost up front, but just know they are a LOT more expensive than your regular vet. This is an emergency clinic and you will pay emergency room prices. So make sure you are financially prepared for that before showing up because they DO WANT payment up front before they will care for your pet. With that said, once theyve received payment, they will do everything they can to care for your pet. The downside to my experience is that when my pet was released within hours after having a major surgery, it was the day after a holiday and I had to try 4 other vet clinics before I found a vet that would take her in for after care. They also transferred my records to a vet that was closed, then the CD of her x-rays from her surgery was blank. They were waiting on multiple people at the same time because they require you and everyone else to pick up their pet by a set time in the morning or they charge you and additional fee. I felt like we were falling thru the cracks getting what we needed and rushed out the door because they were so focused on getting everyone out the door with their pets by the daily deadline. My experience was on a holiday weekend. So they have been short staffed and overwhelmed with additional pets from the long weekend.
Not worth the money. My dog got hit by a car and was badly wounded. Could they have saved him? Not really. They said they didnt have the expertise to take care of him. They also moved at a snails pace acting with little care for our dog. We got a whopping 900 dollar bill for a dog they barely treated. Then in an emergency had to take my other dog up there and they gave him meds till we could take him to our own vet. So we got to pay them an arm and a leg AND pay to go to another vet. For how much they charge it isnt worth it. If you have no other option than I guess go for it but theyre really callous. O(Obviously not every person working there was heinous but the overall attitude was the pits)
I have used this animal hospitals services numerous times and they have always been kind and courteous. Pricing can be expensive but to me it has always been reasonable considering it is an animal hospital, and worth it to help my animals. I appreciate the staff and their commitment.
This vet clinic is a joke they dont care about your animals all they care about is how much money you are willing to spend. $95.00 fee just to see your animal to then tell you some ridiculous price.
Friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and really good with a panicky dog mom whose silly pups ate chapstick. While we hope we never NEED to come back for an emergency, we now know for sure who to turn to.
We just had to say goodbye to Lucy, our beagle for 12.5 years. The staff was patient and kind and very professional. They made an impossible situation very tolerable and were so sweet to my dog who was clearly suffering. They are good vets, you will pay more than your local vet but that should be expected!
We had a problem with our cat having a reaction to a flea treatment took him in and sorted him out in a few hours .Be prepared for the bill
I can not say enough great things about this clinic. My sweet pup had to have emergency surgery at 5am. They made the worst possible scenario as comfortable and positive as it could have been. EVERY person I spoke to was informative, professional, and most importantly they were so kind. They encouraged me to call as much as I needed (& I needed a lot!), and I absolutely feel confident my dog received the best care he could have had. They saved his life. Thank you so much- I am forever grateful to this amazing group of people.
My dog was attacked after normal vet hours I live in Siloam Springs, they took my baby in straight away and when we had to euthanize him they mailed a sympathy card for our loss. Excellent service.
I brought my 11 month old cat DK in because he was sick. I was extremely worried about him and due to COVID I could not come in with him. The staff did everything possible to keep me well informed and make both of us comfortable. The cost was explained to me before they did anything and was reasonable. Great service. DK is good as new!
We brought in our dog after she was in a scuffle with another dog. The staff and vet did a great job locating a wound in her mouth and suturing it up. Highly recommend. This happened late on a Tuesday night and we had no issues.
My furbaby consumed 100 pieces of sugar free gum and xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs. I found the empty wrapper and luckily found out within a few hours of him consuming it. I called the animal hospital and they told me to bring him in immediately. He is 3 years old and a very healthy pup.Once Dr. Rainbolt (sp?) knew how much he had consumed, she was concerned that this was a life or death situation. They induced vomiting immediately and started doing everything they could to save him. I do not have a family of my own yet and Gus is my child. We have a very special bond and I was beside myself knowing I could lose him. Dr. Rainbolt called me from the clinic while I was waiting in my car, she told me they would have to be aggressive in his treatment, and they needed to keep him for 48 hours while he was on an IV. I asked her if he could possibly die and she was truthful in answering yes.I was terrified that I wouldn’t get to see him and something would happen to him while he was there so I asked to see him before they kept him. They allowed me and my mother to visit with him before leaving him for as long as we needed. Dr. Rainbolt was so genuine and sat in front of us on the floor eye level to discuss treatment options, how bad the situation was, and that they were going to do everything they could to save his life. She gave us time to visit with Gus, love on him, and say our goodbyes for the next few days. She explained everything in a kind but professional manner.I called every hour the first night for updates and they were so patient with me. The next night, they ran blood work and Gus was able to come home as a healthy pup. This clinic is pricey but they should be with what they did for my little family. They saved my dogs life and I couldn’t thank them enough. Now I hope to have many more years with Gus... at least the next decade. I couldn’t be happier to have my smiley sweet pup alive and well. Thank you Dr. Rainbolt and staff for saving my babies life. I couldn’t never thank you enough. You are a blessing.Love to each of you,Evan & Gus Clower
Went here early Sunday morning after Weddington Animal Hospital turned me away. My dog had been vomiting 24+ hours and becoming lethargic. They took her right in and within 20 minutes Dr. Shaw called me with a plan and some possibilities. They were always upfront with the cost before performing anything. I felt they were very thorough - labs, xrays, fluids, an anti-nausea and antibiotic shot, and 3 different medications for home as well, all for $679.Thought this was a fair price given the circumstances. I felt like Dr. Shaw truly cared for my dog and the staff was pleasant. Will come here again.
They are just preying on poor desperate people. My dog had gotten attacked by a coyote and they wanted $1200 to stitch it up I only came because I was worried to wait until the next day. My vet charged me $300 for the exact same treatment
My little fur baby dog had a medical emergency on Saturday. He stayed for two days and I have nothing but good things to say about it.The doctors and nurses were fabulous.Kind. Patient. Acted as my advocate in making decisions.I’m impressed and highly recommended them for any animal issues.I’m very grateful that they are here. Thanks to each of them especially Dr Eaves.
I took my 8 month miniature dachshund in because she didnt eat or drink all day so I decided to bring her here. Nobody else was available in Fayetteville. I was scared leaving her alone but because of covid you cant go with your pet. They ran multiple tests but parvo came back positive. They took excellent care of my baby girl shes doing great. I appreciate the staff more than they know.
Im currently in the parking lot waiting for my dog Puppys return, but I couldnt wait to give this wonderful place a 5/5 review. My dog means more to me than anything, and the treatment they are giving her and the constant updates while Im in the car is such a huge relief. I can tell the staff here truly has a heart for our animals. I cannot thank them enough for caring for my dog and being the only emergency vet in NWA open in the evening.
Took mine and my wifes baby dachshund in a few weeks ago worried sick because she wouldnt eat or drink they quickly diagnosed her with parvo virus and they saved her she had no life and they absolutely saved our baby Im forever greatful for the staff thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
We will forever be grateful for the services we received for our beloved furry baby Bella Bennett. We could not have gone to a better place .The staff is amazing and understood all our needs. Above and beyond they went for our furry baby. First time visiting this office. Best care .
Although my visit to the emergency vet was for the very sad task of having my sweet 16 and 1/2, year old girl Lola euthanized, I left feeling cared for by the staff. They explained the process to me and gave me all the time I wanted to just be with my sweet dog and breathe her in and kiss her and sob into her fur both before and after the procedure. I felt their compassion and it resonates with me still. Thank you to the staff at Animal emergency vet.
Definitely not the friendliest place. Receptionist needs a little better training in people skills. The gal just brought my pup out, handed her over and walked away. Vet was fairly nice but I feel they could give you a little more comfort in a time of stress. I hope if there is ever an emergency, my regular vet is open.
If I could give a ZERO star I would. These people dont care. All they want is a dime. We took our pup to them because he couldnt sit or walk. We got there and they found nothing wrong. Dr. Eaves explained to us that she examined our pet and could.not find any negative signs. Which I totally understand because at that point, our pet was acting normal. She stated if symptoms continue in the next 8 hours, bring him back and we can do some xrays and bloodwork and we WOULD NOT be charged another exam fee. We left and 20 mins later our pet started acting strange again. We emailed and Dr.Eaves said we were welcome to bring him back. We get there, again 20 mins, and they tell us its ANOTHER exam fee. They said Dr.Eaves sent the email to us and then left and another Dr.was on duty. Then explained we would be responsible for ANOTHER exam fee. I questioned this and the pet nurse stated WELL DR.EAVES ISNT HERE AND THIS IS ANOTHER DR. I was very angry at this point. They should have told us before we left the first time the Dr was leaving with 30 mins. They should have honored the no additional exam agreement. There is more to this issue but Ill leave it here. I hope another service opens in the NWA area. These people play on pet owners emotions and then sneak.in the dollar snatching tactic. I will spread my experience all over social media . ..
Wow! Everyone that we spoke with at this clinic was amazingly kind and considerate. Deveny, at the front desk, was our first impression of the clinic and she immediately reassured us and had such a calm demeanor. She was incredibly respectful and professional. In a stressful time, we were so thankful for her presence. Everyone else we spoke with, including Dr. Koontz, were equally as amazing. Thank you to all at the clinic for taking care of our sweet dog!
The staff was friendly and comforting as I had to euthanize my dog. The cost is outrageous. I would think once you know you have to euthanize they could cut at least a small discount on services. My bill came to $637 and I left without my dog of 13 years. Obviously her condition is not the clinics fault but could cut a break on the cost. Just like the funeral industry...strike in a time of distress.
Way to expensive ran some test and put dog down over 500.00
Professional staff who tended to our dog in an emergency. Caring and considerate. Kept us updated via phone during the assessment and diagnosis. Have earned our trust and recommendation. Thank you.
My little dog GiGi over the span of a week saw 3 different vets and none could figure out what was wrong. Her condition deteriorated until she was hours from death and we were finally referred here. I have never been treated with such kindness and compassion. Within hours they had an answer and saved her life. They answered all my questions, let me come see her while she was hospitalized, and gave me updates on her whenever I called. Im beyond grateful and thankful and just cant say enough positive things about the entire staff. Excellent team.
Hands down the best place in NWA to take your fur babies. The staff is super friendly, caring and compassionate. Not only are they here for your pet but for you as well. We want to say thank you to all the staff that helped our Ceafus this morning
We have used this clinic twice. Once to treat a dog we were fostering who needed to be seen on the weekend and the second time to assess and treat our much loved foster failure. Sadly, we made the painful decision every pet family hates to make and we were treated with great compassion.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This place uses manipulation and guilt to steal thousands of dollars from pet owners. Owners who would do anything to keep their pets safe and healthy are left broken hearted with no answers and a huge medical bill. This place has killed so many loved pets. One just tonight.Unforgivable.
They show me and my Pebbles so much love when she hurt her little leg . I hope I never need them again but will be more than happy to go back should the need come up
The vet was very clear with her instructions, and very polite. The receptionist on the other hand was very rude with lack of people skills. People are already upset when they go there. she differently could have been more friendly to the clients. I rate it a 4 out of 5, even thought we had a negative experience with the receptionist . in the end that doesnt matter when it comes to the health of our dog.
I had to take my cat here on Christmas because we recently took her to get spayed. Her stitches opened and this place was the only local place available. They wanted over 1,300 dollars to help her and for a 24-48 hour watch. They dont treat the animal until you pay them and do not work with people on payments. This place is conducting highway robbery.
My dog was recently in a bad accident while I was out of town. This place made me feel like an awful dog owner because I couldn’t pay them at 2am. They make it seem like if you don’t do all the work up and let them watch him for 24 hours then you’re an awful owner and your dog is going to die. They wouldn’t even give me an hour to get the money together. All the while, my dog had possible internal injuries that they wouldn’t do anything about until they had payment. They would rather let you pet die. They are terrible people that don’t care. They have no compassion what so ever. Will never take my dog here again and I will make sure everyone I know hears about it.
I was frantic when we took our pup in for severe pain as she has had previous neck surgery and I was terrified that she might have another disc issue. The vet was very reassuring and clear in her recommendations and follow up instructions and the price seemed reasonable for an emergency clinic providing after hours treatment. I would give 5 stars but one of the receptionists was incredibly rude. We had a difficult time finding the clinic and I called 3 times, quite frustrated and scared before finding it. That is the only reason I can think of that she was so rude. Cannot imagine if it had been a life threatening emergency and received that kind of treatment upon arriving. All other staff were professional and kind.
They did not bother to look at the animals chart- he was there, alone, in a kennel, for over 4 hours- when he was brought in with vomiting and blood in his stool. We informed the receptionist and she showed me she documented the information. We received a call after midnight, asking if he had possibly ingested any kind of poison and being rude to someone whose dog is possibly dying and had been neglected by them for hours. This was literally the worst experience ever.Update:So, not only did this place ignore our dog who was bleeding internally, for hours, but after taking over 1000$ from us, they didn’t treat the dog. It is 3 days later, and we learn from another vet that the amount of antibiotics prescribed to the dog are for an animal a fourth of his size, AND THE FLESH EATING BACTERIA in his guts had opened him back up, and had he managed to have a bowel movement, he would have just been bleeding everywhere again. Seriously, if you can avoid it, do not go here.
They care about your money, not your pet. Shameful and disgraceful people shouldnt be allowed anywhere near pets. Please dont go here if you can help it.
They made our Sylvia Joys last moments with us as comforting as they could. Even gave us an impression of her little feet and placed her body in a nice box. Thanks for the compassion ❤️
Lacey is wonderful. She went out of her way to serve us.
We took our 11 year old pug in when she appeared to be having some type of seizure, unable to walk, breathing heavily. Her symptoms indicated that she was fighting for her life and suffering terribly. When we arrived, she was taken in immediately, examined thoroughly then the vet came to discuss the situation with us. She explained in detail what her opinion was and explained what the cost would be to try and get her through the night. Considering here age and other health issues, we decided it was time to let her go. Any one who has gone through this understands how emotional this experience is. The entire staff went above and beyond to help us get through this ordeal. They understood what we were going through reacted accordingly. We left with her little paw print and days later received a card in the mail from the clinic. Considering this was a middle of the night emergency and the care she was given, I didnt think the cost was that high. Any time you go to a 24 hour clinic of any kind, you expect to pay more. It was worth every penny to me for her to have been helped by a staff that did everything in her power to help her quickly and comfortably.
Well brought my dog great dane to this clinic for stitches in her mouth she got bit by a dog and 2 weeks later she cant even walk or stand up truly do believe its there handing of her during surgery
Very kind staff. Very empathetic and accommodating when we had to put our dog down unexpectedly on a Sunday. We have had to take all 3 of our dogs there for various reasons and they are very good. They do great treatment and give options as well. The plus is that they are so calm and kind. After having to put our dog down they gave us a pawprint, loaded him in a coffin and then into our car for us to bury at home at our request. They are sweet people in your time of need.
My dog had her eye pulled out by another dog. We waited in the car for 4 hours. Come to find out they couldnt help her unless we paid almost $1,000 upfront. I had my two year old with me. And they will not let you to leave. I thinks its rediculous. Be prepared to leave with a massive bill.
VERY unkind Person with red hair who works up front.
My husband and I had to put our dog down and it could not wait until the scheduled vet appt. When we got there they took care of us right away by putting us in a room while they put the catheter in our dog. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted with her. The vet came in and he was very compassionate. He explained to us what he was going to do. When she passed away they left us with her for as long as we needed. The staff was wonderful.
My visit here was not under good circumstances, but this team quickly made me feel that they cared. My 13 y/o dog was not well and had to be put to sleep, but even under those conditions this clinic made it as easy as possible to cope and say goodbye. They gave me options for identifying treatments and were honest with the prognosis. I hope to never have to return here since it is an ER for animals, but would return if I have the need. They even sent me a condolence card later that week. I do recommend them.
Great experience at this clinic. All of the staff was attentive and kind. Thankful that my dog didnt need surgery and only fluids & medicine. And thankful that we have an animal emergency clinic so I didnt have to wait until the morning!! Keep up the good work!!
If I could, I would give this a rating of 4.5 stars, only because the lady at the front desk wasnt very friendly, nor welcoming. But none the less, my German Shepherd puppy was well taken care of by the nurse and the doctor.Because it is an emergency clinic, the prices of the treatment obviously are higher, but I was mainly concerned that my puppy was going to be taken care of, and she was. Hopefully I dont have to come back for an emergency; however, if that time comes, I will definitely be glad to come to this facility.
Worst experience of my life don’t take your go here unless they are literally on the verge of death. Over charged for absolutely no answers on why my dog was sick.
I have an American Bully named Bear. Bear broke his leg so we took him here. They had free Netflix in the waiting rooms and exam rooms. They took him immediately back and helped us as soon as we walked in. They gave him a Winnie the Pooh (Pooh bear) cast. Great experience!
Terrible experience. I brought my dog in after her normal vet closed on a week night after I found her crying in agony when I got home after work. They did x rays and informed me that there was something that looks like a needle in her intestines but that they thought she could pass it on her own. They gave her some pain meds and sent her own her way with a note to follow up with her normal vet in 7 to 10 days. Thank god I didnt wait and follow their instructions. they sent the ER records to her normal vet and she was in emergency surgery to remove the object within an hour the next morning after they opened. I paid an outrageous amount to this clinic for them to do basically nothing helpful and then I still had to pay for emergency surgery the very next day. My poor baby suffered longer than she had to and Im very disappointed in this clinic. They are supposed to specialize in emergency medicine but I wouldnt even take my dog here for a nail trim if it was free.
Go in with one cat and two kittens. They tell me everyone is super healthy and doing well. They bring me back my cats I open the carrier and my kitten is dead. I brought my cats in to be checked not only did you not tell me anything but you tell me they’re okay but he was DEAD. Obviously he’s not healthy and doing well if he died. These people are awful.
Saved our dogs life. Seems expensive only because no insurance so you pay the whole cost but less than half of what you pay for same service for a human. Staff is incredibly kind and compassionate. Would use them again, did I mention, saved our dogs life? To us it was worth it but was over one thousand so need ability to pay at time of service.
Just like a human ER, they are very pricey. Its just the way it is. They gave me a price breakdown and worked with me on what I could afford. They were very thorough and emailed a breakdown of everything that was done. I had detailed aftercare instructions and even though I paid more then I thought was necessary, the experience was all around top notch.
Service is average but be prepared for the OUTRAGEOUS bill. They know they have you because they are after hours emergency clinic. 3-4 times more expensive than what I am accustomed to paying.
Animal Emergency Clinic saved our dogs life! So great to have a place open overnight on the weekends. Our dog got into some chocolate and they were great in helping her back to health!
The patient care and compassion is slim to none. We brought our dog in at 9:00 pm in critical condition. We never seen a doctor the whole time he was there. When asked to speak to the doctor we were told she was too busy.No one wore name tags, I didn’t know if I was talking to the janitor, a nurse, or a doctor. We knew our dog wouldn’t make it through the night but the nurse insisted not to give up. We put our trust in them, he did not make it one hour after we left. One nurse injected “medication” into his IV without any explanation of what the medication was /or why it was being administered. As a nurse I know this is wrong. Regardless if it’s a human or a dog, at least have the common courtesy to explain what is happening, especially while we are in the room.We were charged an additional $900 after he passed. (Grand total over $4500) It seemed like they just wanted to get more money out of us. And still the doctor didn’t come tell us what happened. Or what she thought happened. We have no explanation. We still have no explanation. No answers what so ever.Furthermore, this is the second dog that has passed away in their care. The treatment from the staff was identical. (2 years prior). We never recieved a call when his cremation was ready to be picked up. We waited 2 weeks and called ourselves to find out he had been there at least 3 days. And guess what. We still haven’t heard if our new dogs ashes are ready to be picked up. It’s been more than 2 weeks. Not surprised.I understand working in critical care. But it seems like the staff is completely unaware of their role. Have some compassion. If you don’t know the answer, find out. Assure us you care. Assure us you’re trying. I know critical care is hard and exhausting in both sides of the spectrum and with all things in consideration, I hope we never have to come back here ever ever again.
Dr Jarod Williams and his assistants were great. He spent time explaining things and was very detailed. He followed up and checked on us which was much appreciated. We ended up having to put my Corgi Boot down but he tried figuring out what was going on. Appreciate all they did.
We were very fortunate that they were able to successfully perform emergency surgery on our 10 year old lab for bloat. It was very tough on us but they were friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Obviously we were pleased since our dog survived the ordeal but even if he had not, I would have felt that they did everything in their power to help him. We even received a credit on our bill for unused services. Highly recommend and hope not to be back but will have no reservation coming back if necessary
Awesome to have this lifesaver. Staff are very caring and easy to work with. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is the expense. Its sad to me people have to go into debt to save a family member or if they dont have thousands or good credit they just dont get to at all.
Fantastic staff of people, the Doctor is outstanding Great Job Thank you .
We spent $4000 at this place and they seemed kind, but we were told to call the ER right away if Pepsi started trying to throw up. She didnt throw up, but kind of tried to, so we went. Right away we knew something was wrong with the doctor. There were 0 patients there at the time, but the nurse (I dont want to call her a doctor) was mean and rude as she could ever be. She acted like we were stupid for not wanting to put Pepsi to sleep, even though Pepsi was not suffering she said. She said she likely was not in any pain, but just had not much quality of life. Its not true because Pepsi is still here talking with us right now, she grabbed my hand a few minutes ago while I was singing her song. She is 100% there. This nurse was as stupid as **** and didnt know what she was talking about and acted like my wife and I were stupid. She acted surprised when I knew the name of the medicine she was talking about. I value intelligence more than anyone, and this nurse does not have it. Nor does she have any sort of empathy whatsoever. She is a horrible person. She said she heard from the other doctor that we wanted to put Pepsi to sleep. What??? She was trying to persuade us to do so in a retarded kind of way. Then when I just got home and read the write up notes, she said very bad things about us in particular. These are the exact notes: The owner steadfastly refuses to consider humane euthanasia. Owner declines blood work (she misspelled this) to evaluate for potential causes of the seizures. (No... the nurse said there was no point. Owner did not refuse anything.) I dont think this post does justice to how rude she was to us. She acted like she wanted to get back to her coffee break or go smoke a cigarette, with 0 other patients in the lobby and the parking lot empty and us the only patients in sight, after us having spent $4000 here. To top it all off... when we were paying to leave, the secretary out front did not believe it was my credit card, so she wanted to check my ID. With us having a cat with us with the same name as the one on their charts, having spent $4000 there already, and just meeting with the doctor. What if my wife would had paid like last time and did not have her ID? Omg this place was such a joke tonight, Im sorry Dr. Williams and the other nurses who cared for Pepsi the week before, but you guys have to fire this girl and the secretary working tonight both. You better believe my wife (Japanese and very, very sweet girl) is going to write a post as soon as she finishes feeding Pepsi. And we will be talking with Dr. Williams and the other staff tomorrow about both of you.
The doctors and staff are friendly and very helpful. But on the other hand are very incompetent when it comes to the health of your pet!!! I took my animal in to be treated they ran blood work, vitals, the hole nine yards even X-rays. With the X-ray they found that the leg was broken. The X-ray included the whole body from head to toe, top to bottom. What the incompetent doctor did not see was that a vertebra in his neck was completely dislocated and pressing against his spinal cord. When I took him to the regular veterinarian the vertebrae dislocation was clear as a bell on their X-ray..After I had to pay almost $400 dollars to the Animal Emergency Clinic of north west Arkansas in addition also pay an additional $347 dollars to the regular veterinary clinic for the same procedures to end up and have my pet put to sleep to end his suffering.Don’t get me wrong I love my pets very much and would pay twice that amount. But the fact of the mater is, the veterinarian at the emergency room should have seen the dislocated vertebra that was clear as day in the X-ray. There is no excuse for the amount of incompetence that the veterinarian had. With the amount of revenue that the emergency services vet receives from it’s customers you would think that they would be able to have more competitive veterinarians. I am very dissatisfied with the performance of the veterinarian.....
In my last review, I commented that I was not happy with the receptionist when I went there at 0630, right before they were closing. While that’s still true, I now feel it was unfair of me to give them such a low rating when I’m grateful to have a place to take my pets for emergencies when my vet is not open. I just took my dog there and he’s hospitalized now and I’m relieved he can get immediate treatment instead of waiting another 8 hours for my vet to open.I can’t give 5 stars because when I took my cat there at 0630 they literally told me they’d kick me out in 30 minutes no matter what since they close. I ended up having to put that cat down shortly after being turned a away. But otherwise, I feel the other staff are amazing for being there when regular vets are closed.
Good hospital. Nice, plenty of space for pets and their humans. Ridiculously high prices and some extra services not necessary for pet that will be going to their own vet when they open their doors. Vet and technicians were very kind, just over thorough.
Great treatment. Took my Frenchie in for a intestinal blockage and was planning on an outrageous bill. The vet was determined to not put my dog through an major surgery. He tried a less invasive procedure and it worked. Thank you for the passion you have for animal.
I got there at 2:30 AM with my 17 year old cat who had just had an alarming episode. They were very nice and got her in quite quickly. Its improved since I was there last, several years ago. I didnt have to pay anything before they did the initial exam, this time. And there were coffee and hot chocolate available. There was a screen in the examination room, where we could watch a variety of things. They did a good job with the cat, too.
I was seeing dr. Davis and at first I was impressed. But a month later We made an appointment with him that I begged for because he didn’t even want to see my dog again, just go straight to surgery however I ended up missing it due to me being held up at work- the next morning I receive an email from dr. Davis himself saying “ we will no longer see scrappy for this issue” I was shocked, I felt it was very unprofessional and it honestly hurt because my dog is my baby and he just cut the ties and is not even willing to help my dog. I told him that’s fine because my dog deserves a place that will love and care for him with the highest love and care not a vet that will just drop him, and so does your dog! That is why I am even leaving this review! I would not go here. Our pets deserve a vet and dr that cares and goes above and beyond.
They took really good care of our dog. They removed a foreign object from inside her intestine. And our Corgi is doing pretty good
They are unacceptably slow. I went in at 10 pm and it was several hours before my pup and I got into a room. Truly a terrible experience
Came in with an emergency with my very old kitty. We discussed options and decided to put her down. The staff was very kind and considerate. Good place. Good people.
They took great care of my little girl when I brought her in bc she was having trouble breathing at 9pm. Yes it sucks the prices are double the regular vet but they did try to work with me to determine what was the best and most affordable route while still making sure they could provide my cat the care she needed and I really appreciate that. All the staff were extremely nice and kept me in the loop the whole time. Emergencies suck for everyone Involved but know that atleast your baby will be in good hands if god forbid you need to go here. Thank you drs and staff!
Gave them 1 star because I need to say this. Worst experience ever! My son and I took his precious dog in, sat for 3 1/2 hours, no response. In the meantime, they carried a euthanized dog out right through the main waiting room and put it in the car with a family with 4 children. Maybe they asked for that, I dont know. But people all over the waiting room were crying, including my 11 year old granddaughter. They finally called us back for consultation, but again, just kept sitting there for almost another hour. Finally, my son couldnt take another minute of this and demanded his baby back. I highly recommend you never use this vet unless it is an absolute emergency. Please read all the reviews.
I came in on a Saturday evening for a hot spot on my dog. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. Wasnt as expensive as I thought it would be either. I hope to never have to use their services again, but Im glad theyre around just in case.
They saved my dogs life. The staff were attentive and courteous. Our small dog snuck some Valentines day dark chocolate that we thought was out of reach. We brought him to the clinic where they told us it was a potentially fatal amount. They acted swiftly and our dog was fine in the morning like nothing happened. Sure, emergency service can be expensive but when youre in a bad situation you have to weigh the benefits.
They were very sympathetic when I brought my Maggie in. She was very sick with a heart condition. We had to put her to sleep. They gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to her. It was the hardest choice Ive ever had to make. I got a sympathy card from them a few days later. I felt that was very nice of them to go out of their way to do that. I am going to pick up her ashes today. I know it was for the best. 😢
This would be my LAST option to take my pet; apart from the ridiculous prices, their service was poor. The moment I walked in, they were rude and almost seemed annoyed we were there. My pup suffered a mild head injury and seemed to be paralyzed for a few minutes. Well, their response was without a doubt, to euthanize. They wouldnt let me see my pup and wanted to charge me over $1,000 to watch her a couple of nights through the weekend AND IF she made it, I could pick her up Monday and take her to my regular vet for treatment. Really? So why did I take her to you in the first place? They pushed lightly for me to euthanize. After insisting to see my pup, which she was happy to see me the second they brought her into the room and jumped into my arms, they said, she is only fine a few moments and goes back to not knowing what is going on. After waiting another 20 minutes for discharge (seemed more like reasons to charge me), I took her home. I was not going to leave my pup there. I dont live far from the hospital, so when we got home, she jumped off the car, ran to the bushes, peed, smelled, ran up the stairs and jumped onto the couch and took a well-needed nap. Im not a vet but I felt lied too the entire time. The way they kept pushing to put her down, EVEN as she showed to be completely fine..and not to mention the ridiculous price to just watch her until i could take her somewhere else... Just wanted to say, Im glad I didnt listen to you. My pup is running about, eating, sleeping.. Shes happy and alive.
