I would not recommend taking professional development courses with this business. Communication is very poor, and the people running the business are very unorganized. Most communication is done via email, and they never seem to really know how to answer questions about their programs. Often the responses are rude. I asked a question only to be told I was already given the information. Most people probably dont read reviews before applying to their programs because Whifam offers scholarships to cover some of the costs so their programs are cheaper than other companies offering the same courses. But its not a bargain if you are interested in real education. The programs dont teach anything valuable. The owner acts like she doing her students a favor and, overall, behaves in a very unprofessional manner.
This business has a good concept but lacks organization. They also lack professionalism. I have witnessed Melanie yell at family members for taking photos during graduation ceremonies. They offer several certifications and programs to help child care professionals advance in their career. Communication with clients that take their courses is a huge issue. They are not clear about the requirements needed to complete each course and wait until the last minute to tell you things. After they fail to effectively communicate they will find a way to blame you for lack of knowing. This team seems as if they are making up the rules as go for their course requirements.
