Wow! I am so impressed with this place. My daughter was in an accident and the repair was covered by the other driver’s insurance. The KIA dealership recommended A1as the bodyshop to use. Christian has been handling our repair and has kept us in the loop about parts they were waiting on from KIA. They are very good at communicating with customers. When we went to pick up our car yesterday there was a scratch that was unrelated to the accident on the hood. I believe it happened at the impound yard the car was taken to after the accident. Christian spoke to his manager about the scratch. Knowing the insurance company wouldnt cover it, they told me they would fix it for us free of charge. I was blown away. A1 fixed some collision damage through my insurance company and did a very professional job, but almost a year later we noticed the turn signal was loose. Assumed it was a problem with the repair, but they diagnosed that someone had hit us in a parking lot, creating no outside damage but breaking the turn signal mount. Fixed it in just a few minutes and did not charge anything. Wonderful!

I just moved back to the Houston area in May 2020. I had purchased a Subaru Forester in Dallas just before my move. In Late October, I was involved in a collision in the Westchase area. The back tire and rear axle took the brunt of the impact. Superior Subaru, my new Subaru home, recommended A-1 Auto Star’s Collision on Louetta Rd. A-1 coordinated all repair work with my insurance and updated me frequently during the process. All the suspension work needed was run through final calibration with the dealership. I felt that this group went through multiple checks before declaring the work done. The body work was impeccable. The group at A-1 is gracious snd professional. Shout out to Brandon and Christian! You were great! Thanks to you all, I’ve fallen in love with my Forester all over again.

Avoid at all means. If you are going through an Insurance company never go to this place.If they can get money from the insurance company, they will replace whatever possible to make money. I feel it is an insurance fraud. I will never go back to them. I feel I did a big mistake going to this place.Also if you are working through insurance company I would say keep everything in writing as they may try to take more money than what the insurance company pays. Otherwise they wouldnt give your car back.As someone has mentioned in the review earlier they say they give most of the work to other companies. Then why call it a bodyshop.

I took my 2008 mini to them for repairs. they were one of the repair shops recommended by the other persons insurance. they were very friendly and open about the entire process. they have a very comfortable waiting room we have coffee water and snacks. they updated me via SMS through the entire process and when it was complete they gave me a call. The car was absolutely immaculate the whole front end looks brand new.

Thomas was very helpful and never got annoyed by my constant calling. He kept me up to date on the progress of my repairs. The work was top shelf and Im am very impressed having been close to auto repair work for a lot of years.My 2nd dealing with them was no different.

I’m pretty disappointed with A1 CARSTAR on Louetta. When I arrived to get my car fixed, I was immediately taken care of, and the car was whisked away to get fixed. It all started out GREAT. I was called three separate times to be told a status update on how my car was doing and shortly after, it was all done and fixed.Now this is where the three stars comes in. The VERY MORNING that I took my car into A1 CARSTAR, I first took it to the car wash and personally took a rag after the wash and wiped down the car from top to bottom. I even had a friend with me who helped wipe down the car and shine it. The car was in perfect condition EXCEPT for the HOLE in the rear bumper where I was rear ended at a stoplight. When I got my car back from CARSTAR, there was a rather sizable and LARGE scratch extending about 3 feet along the side of my car, where it had never been scratched before. When I noticed it and brought it up, I was told that the scratch was pre-existing from before they got the car. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to take pictures of the car as I dropped it off and had no proof to stand on, except for my own 100% knowledge that the scratch was NOT there when I gave them the car. My friend said that he definitely would have noticed that scratch too (because it Is LARGE AND DEEP) and that it definitely wasn’t there before we turned the car in.But alas, I have no proof to stand on because no pictures were taken, but at least I can give a three star rating so that the workers know that these things are noticed and mistakes should be owned up to... I was very disappointed.However, the job that the car was brought in for was completed quickly and professionally, and for that I am grateful. I would simply advise you to ALWAYS take pictures or a video of your car before you hand over the keys.

This place was recommended to me from the local Jeep dealership. My insurance company sent me to another location to get my initial estimate, but after taking my car here for a second estimate they found and got approved additional damage almost immediately and then more damages were found while checking alignment. I feel very confident these extra repairs would not have feen found or corrected at the location I got my first estimate, so I am so incredibly grateful for the thoroughness and attention to detail. Tomas Rodriguez was my estimator, and he graciously put up with all of my phone calls and questions throughout the whole process. A1 Auto Carstar Collision repaired our vehicle following a car accident. Though it took longer than the quoted time (additional issues discovered), Brandon kept us abreast of the status of repairs and the readiness of our vehicle throughout the process. The total repair is a quality job.

Car was late 2 b ready but its because Hyundai sent them the wrong part. overall good service.

They told me my car would be ready on Wednesday. I called Thursday morning because I hadn’t heard from them and they said it would be done by4:30. I called again at 3:45 to verify that my car was ready and they said they needed another 45 minutes. I arrived an hour later and they still were not completed. It would have been nice for them to be more proactive in letting me know my car was going to take longer to repair instead of me having to call them.

A1 Auto did a really good job on fixing my vehicle and Thomas was great at keeping me updated on the status of my vehicle throughout its time in the shop. Overall I’m pleased with the outcome and would bring any of my vehicles here in the future if need be.

Accidentally hit a parked car in lot. Left note/number as a good Samaritan offering to cover damages. Owner of vehicle required work be done at this shop though I have friend that owns shop of 28 years. Price I had to pay was nearly twice as much as it should have cost w/items on the estimate that were completely not needed and inflated man hours charged. I had no choice and had to pay even after asking for a break. They discounted $40...it was a joke. Get multiple estimates to be sure your being treated fairly.

Dealing with this outfit the first time, through the insurance.Pros:1- Nice people2-Clean placeCons:1-They don’t do anything, just send the car to other people.2-they left my car at the dealer ( didn’t check it in, just left it) for 2 weeks ( trying to find out what is wrong). Obviously I’d u don’t call the sealer every day, it is just going to be delayed.3-they give u the talk and that they warranty their work, NO they don’t.After receiving my car the brakes would bump around while I am slowing down, which is something that only happened after their repair. They said, “not our fault, if the insurance will pay we will fix, if not someone else has to pay”!!Don’t even go their through insurance, time wasting.
