Have had a contract with HW since I bought my house and really have loved the service and ethic of the company and staff/technicians—enough so that I contracted them even while under a home warranty because it was worth having the piece of mind knowing you could rely on their technicians to diagnose and fix the problem correctly and professionally) rather than take shortcuts or give me the run around because they’re being limited themselves by the home warranty company. Feels good knowing they’re helping me maximize the life of the system that came with the house.

Technician arrived on time and did a great job inspecting our unit. Our unit is part of new construction but he did find an issue with the installation of the overflow drains. Nothing major and we were able to remedy it ourselves. Will definitely be signing up for their maintenance program.

Thomas is a pro. From arriving on time to providing thoughtful suggestions, he takes care of our HVAC system...where many others have failed. We have a relatively complicated system and he is on it. We give Thomas and Hal Watson our highest recommendation.

Called on Monday and spoke with Vicky who was very professional and friendly. She was able to get someone out on Tuesday morning by 8:30 AM to check my AC drain. I felt like he truly cared and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and understood what he was saying. Highly recommend this company. I even signed up to do yearly maintenance on my AC. Hal Watson was the HVAC company my builder insisted on using 7 years ago when my house was built. There are 3 Trane a/c units. The evaporative coil on my 3.5 ton Trane unit just went out. Upon researching, the evaporative coil installed for the 3.5 ton condenser had part of the model number marked out and “3-1/2 ton” written on the label. Guess what? It’s a 3 ton evaporative coil. Very deceptive. I was never advised to register the evaporative coils. This is the second evaporative coil to go bad, and because I was never provided with the model number and serial numbers to the evaporative coils, there is no warranty on them. Had I registered them, there WOULD have been a parts warranty for 10 years! Instead, I’m out the entire cost of parts and labor on two units!Another unit has a leak that cannot be detected using a leak trace. This has been an ongoing problem since we moved into the house 7 years ago. I have an estimate from a reputable a/c company to run a new line set. Cost? $2,300. I’m putting it off; but the cost of R410a refrigerant to top up that system is not cheap!

The Hal Watson team installed our heating/ac system when our house was new and has continued to perform routine surveillance since. The technicians have consistently been well trained with excellent communication skills. They provide feedback while working through their work items and patiently respond to any questions we might have. And they do the important little things like wearing boot covers to avoid tracking dirt. When job is finished they carefully summarize what they found - if anything needs followup attention. And even for exterior work they leave the work area as clean, or cleaner than they found it.

Always an excellent choice of air conditioning service companies. Their customer service is outstanding and their workmanship is excellent. Recently the condensate drain plugged up and the expansion valve failed nearly simultaneously. A master service technician was dispatched to fix these issues in a matter of two days so I could catch my flight to China. All was fixed and completed in record time. Can’t say enough for their high quality work and focus on the customer.

My central air conditioning unit stopped working on Monday and I call Hal Watson in the morning. Ms. Vicki answered the phone and kindly scheduled for a service for same day.Mr. Paul came to my place at 12:30 PM. He replaced the capacitor and put 3 LBS Freon and wanted to check the Freon leakage in the attic unit. It was too hot and I asked him to come to work when the weather get cooler since the air condition unit produce cool air.I contacted Hal Watson Air Conditioning Company based on Google review and the recommendations from my neighbors. As the reputation, Hal Watson Air Conditioning Company was wonderful at taking care of the problem I was having with my central air conditioning unit.I am so glad that I found Hal Watson Air Conditioning Company. I am surely going to use Hal Watson Air Conditioning Company to work on the unit in attic when the weather is cooler. My AC went out early Thursday morning and called as soon as they opened and they had someone out immediately. I needed an entire new system (unit was at least 20+ years old) and they had a new one installed early the next morning. Very friendly, fast and efficient service. Guys cleaned up spotless. AC unit went down Saturday evening. We called Hal Watson at 6:55pm to see if they could come out to service our unit and how much it might cost on the weekend. Nick called as right back and gave us detailed explanation of the potential cost. Based on his evaluation and how hot our house was we decided to have the unit serviced immediately. Less than an hour from our original call our unit was working perfectly and the weekend service was only $30 more than waiting 2 hot days and having it serviced on Monday. To say we were impressed with Nick’s professionalism and service would be an understatement. We always call Hal Watson for our ac needs and once again they exceeded our expectations. Confident inspection for annual checkup was thorough, with details listed on receipt - ideal for later reference. Tommy communicated all findings and he installed a hard start kit to improve the efficiency of the a/c unit and, hopefully, extend the life. More satisfied than ever with this inspection which is important with summer temps so high.

In spite of a repeated failure of my Trane AC (manufacture issue- Not Hal Watson)- the rep- Jason Allen was VERY helpful and accommodating. He found necessary part and had the AC fixed the next day and the part (expensive compressor) was covered by warranty and Jason gave me a discount on the labor charges. Hal Watson has always over last 15 years been prompt, courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them. They are service/customer focused.

Ive used Hal Watson A/C for 25 yrs. all to my satisfaction. Their technicians are well trained and always courteous/efficient. They are here twice yearly to perform maintenance checks on my equipment and at times identify parts that need replacement which keep my units from incurring problems in between service calls. They install Trane units which in my opinion are the best on the market.

They installed a top of the line system back in 10. Been flawless ever since. Did a maintenance check on Wed this week and it showed some issues. They went above and beyond to look at ductwork that was original before their system install and found some pinched lines that kept air out of one of our rooms. All now working better then before. Awesome job Hal Watson. So glad I’m using you guys. A+++

I wish all companies functioned as efficiently and easily as Hal Watson. My mom had an issue with her system, I called around and those that answered their phones, couldnt get out for a day or so. When I called Hal Watson, I was received with such friendliness and respect. They tried to trouble shoot the problem to avoid me having to pay a trip charge, but when it was decided that they needed to come to the house, they scheduled a time for that day. The tech - Paul Sehon & his associate, actually showed up 45 min early, fixed our problem and went on their way. What great service. I highly recommend Hal Watson.

The customer service on the telephone is exceptional. They are so nice and helpful. The service man was Prompt and courteous. He Have the problem fixed in no time

Not pleased right now. Called them out because air was not cooling as quickly as usual. Employee said it was low on coolant and had a non repairable leak. Luckily the part was under warranty, unfortunately they charge you enough in labor to still cover their end. A job that took 2 men less than 2 hours cost us $875 in labor. Im certain that neither employee made $200+ an hour to be there. They left and the air still didnt cool, in fact it was rising higher than before we called. What the replace part actually necessart? An employee came out again and says we now have a heater problem that needs to be fixed, but dont worry, it will be under warranty. Wonder how much it will cost in labor?? Employees that come out are very nice and respectful, which is why they have 2 stars, but the way the company itself has handled a part that never should have gone out, thus being under warranty, has been very frustrating.

We have been using Hal Watson for years and have been very pleased with the service. All the technicians are great to work with and they will help you find ways to save you money on big jobs. They dont trash out your house or attic and get the job done quickly. They also respond promptly to outages, which I greatly appreciate in the summer!

Hal Watson is a good company for servicing my air and furnace. The have a program for me covering my heart and air. Very dependable and knowledgeable representative.

We have used Hal Watson for the bi-yearly service calls for at least twelve years. Every tech has been knowledgeable and professional. Approximately four years ago, we replaced and up graded our system, per their recommendations, and added the allergy air filters (to help with my husband’s allergies and asthma). Not only is the unit more energy efficient but I don’t have to dust as often!

I called at 5:15 pm and received a call from the technician Thomas about 15 minutes later letting me know he would arrive by 7:30 pm same day. Thomas arrived at 7:20 pm and had our 10 year old AC up and running in 20 minutes. We will be using Al Watson again when we are ready to replace the unit.

On Time-Response, extreamly reliable and knowledgeable but above all HONEST for the second time in a row... At one point got quoted by 2 major local companys for new air units both in the thousands, different problems in both instances same day?. Hal Watsons billed me $265 and fixed the problem (capacitor).🤯 and to top it all the second visit was on a Sunday.

We have been using Hal Watson for over 10 years. Consistent excellent customer service, very knowledgeable, and honest and reasonable with prices. We were actually lured away to another company at one point, but quickly returned to Hal Watson because of their expertise, customer service, and reasonable pricing. Update & revised review 6/21/19: The owner reached out. I explained my experience with his service tech & what the other company service tech said. The owner personally came out to the house & with my husband right next to him, ran the checks again. He explained what our unit is reading vs what it should be. He did end up needing to add 1.5 lbs to the system. Tyler was very patient & kind. He did say he doesnt think a leak test is necessary at this time. We compared his readings today to the readings the other company recorded yesterday & there is a big discrepancy. As a consumer outsourcing a service we rely on the recommendation of the experts - as a female home for the service calls I was upset thinking I was being taken advantage of. I am very grateful Tyler took the time to read reviews & contact us.6/20/19: We have 2 units and were on a bi-annual preventive maintenance package with Hal Watson. Tech tells me our older unit is about 3 lbs low and needed to be recharged at $89/lb & recommended a coil leak detection to try & find the source of the leak. I declined the service. About 5 months earlier we had our downstairs unit replaced by another company. I called them for a 2nd opinion- their tech said the unit is running in the recommended range & didnt feel it was low. (Note: my initial review was 1 star based on the initial experience - the current 5 stars reflects the follow up)

We were originally referred to Hal Watson to prepare our home for sale. They were extremely helpful and affordable. We have always had a great experience with these guys, We will not use anyone but Hal Watson.

I only use Hal Watson Air Conditioning Service for my air conditioning and heating needs. The technicians are courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Today I needed a repair that I was not expecting. The repair was completed quickly and on-budget. My home is cool again! I’m very happy with Hal Watson services!

Please let me first say, I appreciate Hal Watson, Jason, coming out last minute to fix our AC unit 2 days ago. We had our daughters birthday party this Saturday and needed it repaired last minute when it wasnt cooling on one side of our home. We were able to reach them at 9 am, and schedule Jason for 1pm. He did communicate with me when he was running late, and I appreciate that.Unfortunately, they repaired the same exact part they replaced 15 months ago, the run capacitor. They also had to add a pound of refrigerant again, but charged us $145, instead of the $96 that they charged us for 15 months ago for the exact same amount. This service call cost us $721.58 and 15 months ago they charged us $306.72. I called and spoke with both Kaitlin and Vickie. She informed me they have a one year warranty so it would not be covered. After me explaining how I dont understand and inquiring about warranty, she did take 30% off the price of the capacitor, 30% of $89.05, about $30 off. This brought the total down to $690.63. Im unhappy with the fact that its the same exact part that had to be replaced in 15 months and that the problem was fixed or corrected the first time. Clearly there still is a leak that wasnt found or identified still. Perhaps the start kit and volt contactor they installed and charged us for will prevent the capacitor from going out again, for a 3rd time, in 15 months. I understand the over time after hours charges and had no discrepancy with that.

We’ve been using Hal Watson for 20 years. We had a little scheduling hiccup this time when we didn’t get a call back on Monday after our call to them on Saturday — but, when I called we got seen on Monday, part arrived Tuesday and was installed that day. The technicians are always respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful — real pro’s! We like seeing the same people from year to year. Thank you Jason!

We had many AC companies come to the house and everyone wanted to sell us a new unit with no explanation other than it is 14 years old. Hal came to the house, fixed everything the previous people overlooked and explained what they issue was with the current unit. Offered to fix existing unit, and after looking at the cost we decided to get a new unit. They had it installed the next day for the same price as everyone else with no hidden fees. I would highly recommend these guys they did a great job.

I have used Hal Watson A/C for several years and continue to be impressed each time they come out for any reason.After Harvey flooding, they inspected all the units and only had to change a capacitor or two and spray the contacts with WD-40. The utmost honesty and integrity at a vulnerable time for consumers. The most recent service was due to a nearby lighting strike. I called at 7 AM (they dont open until 8 AM) and received a call back minutes later from the serviceman to discuss the issue. He was at the house by 11 AM the same day, identified the problem within minutes and went to lunch, picked up the needed part and had it installed by 1 PM.The level of professional, knowledge, care and courtesy that the tech from Hal Watson, Thomas, displayed is extremely hard to find anywhere today. I wish they worked on more than just HVAC systems!Pricing is very fair and reasonable and their honesty is superb!

We have always been very happy with Watson’s service. We have used them for at least ten years now.

They spent all day doing warranty work at no cost on parts and labor. They had to change out a condenser, normally that job wouldnt have taken so long except they had go back to the factory and got a second replacement because the first one wasnt turning on. I expected them to reschedule and it be out AC another day but they stayed at least seven or eight hours and I got it working and cold that night

I have been using how Watson air conditioning since 2006. They have been very fair and reliable. They do quality work. They installed a trane for me at my last house, and at this house there is a 20 year old trane that they are keeping going for me. I highly recommend them.

I used Hal Watson last summer one afternoon when my AC stopped blowing cool air. One phone call & they had a tech by the name Jason out expediently. It only took him about an hour to diagnose my problem & fix it. Capacitor. I will CERTAINLY use them again when needed. EXCELLENT job!!!
