I had one appointment with Diane and decided it wasnt for me. My entire intake appointment was only about 30 minutes long, and she kept telling me I was telling her too many details, and she didnt ask me very many questions,even the key ones asked at every intake Ive been to. I have attended therapy before, and all my intakes have been at least 60-90 minutes, and even the disclosures I signed at the beginning said the appointment was supposed to be at least 45 minutes long. Most of the appointment was spent trying to connect through the online platform, so of the 30 minutes we talked,we probably only spent about 20 or 25 of it actually doing anything. Whenever I started talking about something, I was cut off, and told that we were going further than she wanted to go. I felt like she didnt care about what I was saying or going through, she just wanted to get through it and get paid. It was not worth $190, and I would ask for a refund if it wasnt going through my insurance. At the end of the appointment, she told me that the things I had been diagnosed with were all incorrect, and that the only thing I have is PTSD, which she could treat with EMDR. Which is weird to me, because she never even asked me if I had been through any trauma. She didnt listen to thing I actually came to therapy to get help with or even ask questions about it. I never got to talk about anything that actually mattered because she would cut me off. It was by far the worst therapy session I have ever been to.

Had my first appointment last week with Kelsey Usher. I am very impressed so far. The receptionist Megan is such a pleasure to speak to on the phone, very kind, helpful, and gets back to you so quick with any questions or concerns you may have. Kelsey our counselor was very engaged, kind, professional, and made us feel comfortable in our first session. She also is so quick to respond to emails with any questions I have had for her and open to the fact if I have any others to let her know. I am very eager to see where this journey takes us with Kelsey. With how our experiences has been so far, I would definitely recommend in a heartbeat!!

As a colleague I would highly recommend Joeleen. She is compassionate and empathetic and is a true advocate for those she works with. She is up to date on therapeutic interventions and is always researching and learning new things. She is great at integrating emotional and mental health and has an extensive knowledge of essential oils and how they help one’s mood.

As a colleague Joeleen is amazing. I frequently refer clients to her. She has extensive psychological knowledge and exceptional counseling skills. She also brings a unique and important perspective as a chemical dependency professional. Her warm and approachable demeanor makes her a fantastic counselor.

I would recommend this practice to anybody and everybody! This group of women are so amazing and supportive. I have been through more therapist then I can count over the last 20 years and I have never found one that I wanted to keep paying to go to until I walked into this office. It was a bit intimidating walking into such a beautiful group of women and as a fellow female thought how could these ladies possibly understand what Im going through but they get me more then anyone Ive ever seen. They have so many tools to help with whatever situation you need. I have seen both joeleen for myself as well as for marriage counseling and shes the first person who could get my husband to open up and keep coming back. She gave us homework to do in between sessions which was absolutely wonderful. I now see another gal Kayla due to Joeleen relocating out of the country which can be scary switching to someone new after so long with someone else, but their office made it so easy and I feel right at home with Kayla, her practices are equally as great! Icannot say enough how amazing this office is and I would recommend it to anybody! These ladies have changed the path of my life and Im so appreciative. Dont hesitate to try them out! I think they are the best Spokane has to offer personally.

I Have tried dozens of therapists in the greater Spokane area and Charmed Counseling was by far the best. You cant put a price on happiness but if you could then I didnt have to break the bank to get it because Charmed Counseling was actually more affordable then other counseling services around.
