Ive been a client of robin Schmahl for about 4+ years now. The worst thing for anyone to go through is a devorce with children. Robin fought for me as if she were fighting for her own children. Do not retain this law firm. The future of your relationship with your kids is in their hands. With that, this is the first review ever for me. After following advice of one of their attorneys I ended up with a misdemeanor charge. The attorney referred to me by the wrong name the entire hearing as well, after showing up 10 minutes late. Do not retain this law firm.Communication is horrible. There is concern over services rendered vs what was billed. I was billed for services that may or may not have occurred. When it deals with your future with your kids, it is 100% unacceptable when your attorney takes 2 months to respond and that it takes another month+ to get information from the partners on whether services were actually provided or not. Took my attorney 2 months to do a simple email. When I reached out to the two partners about these issues, Matt Fischer and Dena Allen, I waited a month to hear anything and only after being the squeaky wheel.

Joe Linehan handled my custody case and helped me receive the results that are in the best interest of my child. He was very thorough, efficiently communicated through either himself or his assistant Erin, and made sure that everything was done correctly in a timely manner.Even before I hired him in July 2019 he took the time to review my case and make sure that it would be worthwhile to file so as not to waste my time and money if it had no chance of going anywhere. Once he determined there was cause to file for a custody modification I hired him and presented him with a multitude of evidence to go through. He read through everything and lead me through the process of filing with the courts for a modification and emergency change to custody so that my child would not be forced to return to an unhealthy environment. Joe worked with me via phone and email as I live more than 5 hours away in Western WA. He helped me fill out multiple forms, write declarations, and present my evidence to the court. He also represented me in multiple court hearings and trial and always presented the facts and made sure the judge understood the issues in the case. He even tried to guide the other party as to the proper steps to take in court when they were pro se. He really cared about the outcome of the case and worked with me extensively to draw up a proposed parenting plan to present to the other party for settlement, and then for trial once settling didnt pan out. In the end the judge granted my proposed parenting plan and now my child does not have to worry about being in an unhealthy and unstable environment any longer. Joe also offered to help in the future with any issues that may come up with the parenting plan.Thank you Joe and Erin for all your hard work and effort. Without you I dont think I would have been able to modify my parenting plan and make sure my child is safe, healthy, and happy! I would 100% recommend this firm, and Joe Linehan specifically, to any person having custody/family law issues in the Spokane area.

We hired Joe Linehan months ago and he helped with what we needed then. We couldnt afford him anymore, or any attorney for that matter so we finished out the case ourselves. We ended up with a parenting plan however the other party refused to comply. We attempted to contact him for further counsel as he already knew the details to our lengthy case. We did not know how to proceed. We left several messages and I emailed him and he refused to respond. He left us high and dry with no explanation as to why or a recommendation for another attorney. I would never use him or this firm again.

Zero stars would be the rating if possible!!!...DO NOT HIRE THE BURKE LAW GROUP!This law firm, specifically Kenneth Zigler (no longer employed by Burke Law Group to my knowledge) and Rhylee Jordan Smith, are horrible!In the particular case I am aware of the law firm allowed their client, Lance Michael Watkins, to file a petition to modify a parenting plan that never should have been before the court. The law firm also allowed their client, Lance Watkins, to submit false statements and documents in order to pursue his case.Through a subpoena for documents issued by the court (the documents required in the subpoena were falsified before acquiring them legitimately) the respondent was able to show Lance Watkins (through his legal representation of the Burke Law Group) misrepresented his findings in the form of false statements and documents he submitted to court. As a result of the false statements and documents and bringing a mother to court in BAD FAITH Lance Watkins had to pay costs for lost wages for bringing the mother to court in BAD FAITH...Lance Watkins was sanctioned under CR 11.Simply put, the Burke Law Group took a client (Lance Watkins) and allowed him to bring claims that were not true (proven in court) before the court. This law firm (specifically Rhylee J. Smith) withdrew from the case as a result of the false information they allowed to be filed. The Burke Law Group should have done due diligence beforehand. The Burke Law Group chose not to! Instead they just ran with it.DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM OR ANY ATTORNEY WHO WORKS FOR THEM!You could be on either side of a case. This law firm does not do the work necessary for your case. The Burke Law Group and their attorneys charge a lot of money and you should spend it elsewhere in my opinion.

I had a very negative experience with Burke Law Office - Joseph Linehan in particular and his always changed assistants and rude secretaries. No business ethics, no empathy and no legal help.

This place is not for fathers rights for a extra price they will take as much time away from a dad as they can. I was just a dad that couldnt afford a laywer and they took full advatage of that now i get 4 days amonth with the kids but if they can sleep at night living with that more power so if your a mom want to take kids from there dad this place will help u out
