I use to have Waste Management and love them. In June they sold some of their business to GFL, since then Ive had issues. They tried to invoice me twice, had to call to resolve. They took my recycle bin and told me Id have to pay more for that service then today after I called inwas told my pick day was Tue not Friday as it has been for the 6yrs Ive had this service. The lady on the phone was super rude about it, when I asked if I could get a prorated refund for Q4 she said NO they dont offer refunds! Ill be changing service after the first of the year!

We used Waste Management for years, 6 to be exact. Just recently were they purchased by GFL. Its been nothing but problems since. We recently moved and I was told on 2 different occasions our trashcan would be dropped off at our new location and yet it wasnt. When I called to speak to a customer service representative she got VERY smart with me like it was my fault they didnt drop the new trashcan. Thankfully, they had someone out the next day. Then a few weeks passed and we were informed that our pickup day had changed. ONLY after I called to find out why our trash wasnt picked up. She stated that there should have been a sticker on our trashcan letting us know that the collection day had changed. I informed her that there was no sticker. She then acted as if it was an inconvenience for her that I even called and said that our trash pickup had changed from Monday to Friday. So I basically had to wait an additional week. Meanwhile our trash is overflowing! Then I received a call a few days later letting us know that they were ending services in our area. That we would have 2 additional Friday pickups and September 24th would be our last pick up day that they would collect our trashcan. So I proceeded to call another company and set up services. Here we are a week later Friday, October 1st and our trash is still not picked up! I called on Monday, September 27th to find out WHY they didnt pick up the trashcan and she stated they missed it and that they would pick it up Thursday, September 30th. Came home yesterday to trashcan still sitting in the driveway. We live in a neighborhood with HOA fees. Its VERY frustrating to be told that they are going to pick up on several different occasions for them not to. We are constantly pulling the trashcan out to the road because it cant be left out.Bottom line- dont waste your time. Go with a company that values their customers.

Not very dependable. There equipment is always breaking down and you never know when theyre going to close. Leaving you to have to find somewhere else to dump your trash at the last minute. However the guy who runs the scale is very nice and easy to deal with

Do not pick up the phone. Also, they are charging me starting today, but wont deliver my trash can until the end of the week.

AWFUL SERVICE. Didn’t pick up the trash in my entire neighborhood for days after the scheduled pick up date. Stay on phone for whole hour before anyone answered and they still couldn’t get anyone out the same day. If my service wasn’t paid for the year I would switch.

Have had to call the office 5weeks in a row. The delivery driver fails to pick up my trash can. One week they stated my can wasnt out side next week my road was to narrow next week the truck couldnt reach my can with the arm. My trash can isnt even 2 ft from the road and stays in the same spot 24/7 worst experience ever. getting tired of having to make weekly calls just for them to send another driver out the next day. So frustrating.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars. Moved into my house and from the first day I moved in, they have not been picking up my trash. Put the trash out at 530 am. I get home around 6pm and the trash is still there. They can never get ahold of the driver. Leave you on hold for hours. Worst customer service ever. The WORST trash pickup company ever. DONT waste your money with them.

If I skip a week, such as being out of town, they are bad about not picking up trash in the following weeks. Called multiple times about this and it still happens.Save your money and choose a better service.

Quick and easy

Constantly misses picking up my trash and recycling. Then tells me I have to wait till the next week because they made a mistake. Spend your money elsewhere

Horrible customer service. They missed the pickup date last week, and calling the local office is futile, as no one mans the line. Had to look up the Corporate Office number, and after going through two people, was told the local trucks are at capacity and cannot come back out for a missed pickup. They did refund me last week due to the inconvenience, but came home today and the trash was missed again! Called the Corporate Office, and the woman I spoke with was rude and copped an attitude with me. Advised me to give them till 7pm for trash pickup. Explained my situation from the previous week, and how them missing my pickup date did not spark much confidence. The woman sighed, said I was refunded accordingly, and begrudgingly asked if she could assist me further. Pathetic excuse of a customer support person. If you choose Waste Industries, be ready to allocate time in your busy day to chase down your garbage services.

These reviews sound like they belong on waste management page, not waste industries. I mess up and didnt double check which company I was paying, and said well waste management is a few bucks cheaper, ill switch ( have accounts for both) was told my pick up would be on monday, driver drives right by my house, called while he was still in neighborhood, was told he would be back, come Wed still trash, called waste Industries to pay them up, trash was picked up in 8 hours after waiting a whole week for waste management. Waste Industries has never given be bad service.

They lady I talked to so I could get new service was rude. Not rude like that what....talking to me like I was a child bc I could understand how she was describing the pricing bc I wanted recycling too. And they’re hIGh! Just $180 initially just to bring the can and get started!!? Nah. Go somewhere else!!!!!

Two many issues to even put in here, constantly do not pickup trash, they change billing practices with no notice to customer (IE: rate hikes, changing to quarterly billing) also if you pay for a quarter and then move away they will not refund the unused portion. These are terrible business practices. There are many other services in this area so no need to use these people. AWFUL COMPANY!!!

I signed up for service and they missed the second week pickup. I called and stayed on hold for 2 hours before finally leaving a voicemail, which they havent returned. I called the following morning right at 8:00, and after 27 calls, their line is busy. I should have read the reviews and will be switching providers. Customer Service sucks!
