My Onan QD8000K genset up and out of the blue quit running. My Wife & I were on on way to Mt. Airy, NC to pick our son up from camp. The plan was then to embark on a 7 week trip from NC to SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, IA, MO, AR, TN, AL then back to Florida. Can you imagine this trip with no genset (no A/C)??? I pulled into the Spartanburg Cummins Service Center around 11:00 AM on Friday, July 2 (holiday weekend). I spoke with the Service Manager, Dan. I told him my situation and my issue (fault code 33/36). Dan proceeded to tell me his Gen Tech was booked solid until Tuesday (closed Monday). He did however call the Charlotte location for me to see what their status was...two week backlog! Dan picked up on my distress and said, lets go take a look at it. After just one attempt to start the Onan, Dan stated, its starved for fuel, when is the last time you changed the fuel filter? I said at the last service last year (about 150 hours). Well, it still could be a clogged filter, I have the filter but I dont have anyone to install it. I told Dan I could install it myself if I had a drain pan (he even offered me tools). Now to shorten the story up...25 minutes later, I had the new fuel filter installed (with Dans assistance...in the parking lot) and after about 45 seconds of priming...she fired right off and purred like a kitten!!! Did Dan have to call Charlotte for me...NO! Did Dan have to go outside and look at the Onan with me...NO! Did Dan have to get me a drain pan...NO! Did Dan have to offer his assistance...NO! Did Dan have to do anything other than say, I can help you Tuesday? Dan in Spartanburg and his Cummins Service Centers are HEROS to the RV community. If you are EVER in the area and need service, GO SEE DAN and HIS TEAM!!! AAAA++++
Very nice people. Chris was awesome. That being said, we had a check engine light come on in our motor home. We stopped and they had to overnight a part. They replaced the part. We drove about 15 miles back to an RV park for the night. Before we got back, the check engine light came on again. I called Chris. He said to bring it back. He put the machine on, and it showed the same error code as before. Couldnt get us in a bay, so we came back the next morning. They got us right in. Diagnosed a port issue that was causing the sensor that was replaced yesterday to throw the error code. So the sensor that was replaced was not bad. It was showing the pressure difference that was out of perimeters. When the bill came, it was in addition to the bill I had paid yesterday. So I had to pay for a Diagnosis and part that was not needed. As well as fixing the real problem. I asked Chris. He said the only thing he could do was offer a free oil change. We had just had that done less than 2000 miles before. He offered to hold that offer as long as we needed. We had never been to Charlotte before. And probably will never make it there again. So while nice, the offer will not do me any good. I dont think I should have had to pay for parts and labor, for something that was not bad, nor was it the problem.Again, Chris was awesome.I would have given a 1 star, had he not gone over and above. But,, I think there should have been something cummins could have done.We always try to go to cummins, because they are the pros. And I will continue. But disappointed. Not with Chris. He was awesome. Cant say that enough.

This is by far the best shop Ive ever went too. They helped solve the issues with my truck fast and repairs were in a timely manner. They also helped deal with my 3rd party warranty company which can be difficult at times if youve never dealt with one. Amanda and her team were awesome and this will be my go to shop on engine issues!!!!
Unheard of service and very accomodating. 10 out of 10. Im going 200 miles out of my way just to schedule service at this location. Do yourself a favor, these guys are the professionals professional.
I cant say enough good things about the place!! I will recommend this shop to everyone? Took them hardly any time to find the problem when I had been to 2 other shops. Dearler shops and they couldnt find the trouble. Charles was very helpful and Todd really knows his stuff!!
Professional, courteous, and highly recommended. They fixed my RV and John called and updated me along the way and was always so nice and professional. When I picked the RV up, the guys in the office were just as nice as John. Great representation for Cummins, great guys.
This was our second time here. We live full time in a motor home. They under promise and over deliver each time. We’ve been pleased with all aspects of their service. We’ll return.
Initially I had to leave a vm which was returned within minutes by Lee, Customer Rep. Lee set realistic expectations so nothing would be unexpected the day of our appointment. Cody, Supervisor, worked along with Donald, our technician, to identify what was causing our 2001 Winnebago Journey to overheat on inclines, before any service was done. They presented everything in detail, including possibilities of other items that may or may not be involved. They provided a fair and accurate estimate and took pictures and saved any parts replaced for us to see. They identified items that did not need replaced and items we may want to consider replacing since the radiator had to be completely removed. They allowed us to arrive the night before, provided 50 amp hookup so we could stay in the RV. They were very thorough, kept us updated on progress, extremely professional and courteous. The entire team went above and beyond our expectations and verified via an hour test drive that our coach was road ready for our 2 month travel plans. Michael, Branch Manager, regularly checked on us and the team provided information on the Cummins App and membership that gave us 10% off our invoice that day! Michael verified everything was progressing, we didnt need anything and even came out to the coach to see us off. Its been a week on the road and our coach continues to run better than the day we purchased it 3 years ago. Should we ever need service again, we will do our best to make it back to the Cummins team in Spartanburg SC.
Highly skilled professionals. Trustworthy. Our 2008 Winnebago Class A with Cummins ISB engine had a fuel system problem. They accurately diagnosed the problem and quickly repaired it. Took care of our extended service contract (Good SAM) with no difficulties. Highly recommend this facility and company.
Great team. We are from Va, had work done on our motor home at Freightliner in Gaffney and the mechanic there found a Cummins problem. Called Spartanburg Cummins before heading back to Va and they worked us in. Thanks to Charles, Amanda and the mechanics, we were out of there in 3 1/2 hours.

Be aware the mechanics Have no clue what they doing. Will lie to you and still your money . All good people used to work there are gone . New ones have 0 knowledge about the engine.

Had our Rv several weeks and not good at returning calls for progress reports. Had camping reservations and got the RV back the night before we were supposed to leave. Inside was covered in black suet and had to be wiped completely down and carpet cleaned. A week later, we discovered there was a gas leak around the injectors which luckily my husband was able to tighten up. Also some Insulation was badly damaged which he had to tape up. For the large amount of money we had to pay for our services, even little things matter. Was very disappointed .
I paid for the part over the phone and they said they would leave it outside, i get here no part to be found, very unhappy
