Big space. I walked in and they got me in right away. It was a bit pricey but my stylist paid close attention to me and I felt really good after we were all done. She asked me some good questions about my cut and style during and after and that was nice to talk about cos I guess I never really did with anyone honestly outside my house. You get a complimentary adult beverage. Albeit the selection is limited its a nice touch. Check em out.

This was my first experience at Bareknuckle. Im ashamed to admit it, but I had already determined that this fade would be another one for which I would be disappointed simply because of the appearance of the barber. (Ashley exudes a rough exterior.) I could not have been more wrong: It was the best cut Ive had in years, including a straight razor neck shave. Ill be one of her regulars...if shell have me.

Amanda did a great job! She helped me figure out what I wanted and we talked a little about styling products. I was a little late for my appointment because Id never been to the area but it wasnt an issue. The waiting area looks comfortable and I like the places aesthetic. Thanks guys.

•Firstly, I love the vibe of the shop and the atmosphere is relaxed and chill and really welcomes you in even if you’re from out of town and brand new.•Secondly, Amanda was a fantastic stylist/barber. Tried a new style and I must say I love the cut and style. She was more than knowledgeable as well as professional and personable! She also was great with my kids!•And Finally, the architecture of the building was fun to admire and explore. I enjoyed walking in the giant safe-room and hearing the stories from the history of the building.You should definitely give this place and Amanda your business for your next cut!

Great service & chill atmosphere. Although I dont personally get my hair cut here, my bf comes here all of the time. He doesnt let anyone other than Ashley do his trim. The shop is dog friendly and even offers a complimentary drink (and maybe even a doggie biscuit 😁) with your visit! I definitely dont mind tagging along just to relax and enjoy the music and beverages. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Starting off, the inside of the shop is very well put together and welcoming! The hospitality is through the roof! The staff was very nice and experienced. My first cut was one of the best I have ever received and was exactly what I had asked for. Definitely will be returning for my next cut and highly recommend others to try for themselves!

I heard good things about this place, but Amanda was cutting my hair at another location. Today, I had my first cut with Amanda, NOW at Bareknuckle Barbershop! Very clean and inviting. Nothing wrong with the quick/cheap/high-turnover/chain type salons; however, this is my kind of a place. Definitely 5 stars.

I’m typically not someone to leave a negative review unless the experience was totally awful. I like to support small businesses and leave positive reviews to help them succeed but this place does not deserve to succeed based on my experience today. When I made the appointment this morning over the phone I was sure to tell them my son was only 19 months and to make sure that wouldn’t be an issue. The lady on the phone just said as long as he wasn’t going to cry (understandable, as nobody wants to hear a crying baby while they’re getting their own haircut). I drove from Greenwood to Spartanburg to bring him here and enjoy a day in Spartanburg with my son. As some of the other reviewers said it’s a little hard to find and I ended up getting caught at a light that caused me to be a few minutes late to the appt. Without even acknowledging my son I was told I was late and he wouldn’t have time to do the cut. Another customer was kind enough to trade spots with me (I’m sure he could see I was stressed). I was then told that there was a policy that no parents could accompany their child for a cut. I wasn’t told that on the phone and that’s a pretty major policy to not go mentioned when arranging for a toddler’s haircut. It was obvious this person just didn’t want to cut a toddler’s hair. I had chosen this place for an elevated experience for me and my son but I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place that I only wanted to support. We left without service or an apology. Will not be back.

Finally I found my new barbershop!! After jumping around to different places for a year, I found the right place for a modern haircut and beard trim. I used to be a regular at a place in downtown but I was tired of bad haircuts and trying to tell someone HOW to cut versus the look I wanted. Ashley saw what I was going for with my style and nailed it the first time. I couldn’t be happier (and I’m VERY picky about my look)!! It’s been a long time since I walked away happy with my haircut. Ashley is one of the best barbers Ive been to. She is a barber not just someone at a so called barbershop. Great quality cut. She takes her time and its perfect when you leave. I definitely recommend if you have a beard because its easy to mess up yourself and she is phenomenal at beard trims. I suggest the straight razor trim everything gets lined up and looks great.

I went in not really knowing what I wanted, only that I was well overdue on a haircut. Not knowing too much about hair and fashion I asked the barber, Rose, if they were ok styling my hair in a modern fashion that they could come up with since I didnt know what I wanted, which Rose agreed to. Rose did a fantastic job, and I couldnt be happier with the hairstyle they did.

Bareknuckle does an outstanding job cutting hair. I have been going there once a month for almost a year now and have never had a bad haircut. Amber does a great job and I would highly recommend her.

I came to try a local barber shop and this place is so hard to find. I called twice when I was on time for my appointment about how I couldnt find the place, but no one answered. Finally I find the place, 10 minutes late and theres a sign, Walk-ins welcome so Im like great! Even if Im late I can get a hair cut. So I go in and theres 4 staff, at least 2 barbers a random dude and his nice doggy. Good start, but when I go to check in they tell me I need to reschedule for 2 hours later. I told them I called, to which they say they havent had any. I ask them the phone number and they dont know it. You have a sign that says walk ins welcome and two barbers doing nothing. I dont understand why they couldnt seat me then and there. Theres a hundred other local barber shops that will be more worth my time. This is not one. Stay away.

Great place for a haircut. Ashley is the consummate proprietor, always friendly and engaging. Amber has cut my hair the most and she takes her time and is careful with the details. I felt like she realized I was representing her work and wanted to make sure I looked as good as she could make me look.

This is my first time at bareknuckle barbershop. I drove over 1000 miles from Canada to get my haircut while passing through Spartanburg. To sum it all up this is an exceptional barbershop. They have a wonderful staff and they give great haircuts in a great atmosphere. They even squeezed me in at a very busy time. I had Amanda as my barber and she was phenomenal. My hubby has talked about straight shaves he got when in the Army. A friend told us about here which is almost 4 hrs from home. Were down in area for the weekend. I was a little nervous going into this. I had never had a beard trim. It was a fathers day gift. It did not take long for the nervousness to go away. Ashley was friendly and professional. Ashley is great! She always takes her time to make sure you are happy with the cut and she is an expert at styling mens hair. Shes also quick to respond with questions and booking. I was sold on her skill after the first visit when she trimmed my beard expertly free hand and didnt have to go back and fix anything.
