Excellent Service! Great Pricing! I needed to replace two HVAC systems. After getting estimates Floyds prices beat all others by several thousand dollars. I had been using Waldrop for over 15 years and had a service contract with them, but they could not come close to matching Floyds prices. Oh and Mr. Floyd did the estimate and installation. He was wonderful to work with.
I had an AC emergency for which Floyd’s was willing to help. I was willing to pay time and a half since I was desperate on Friday afternoon. So far so good. However, after assessing the situation and working up a price, he quoted $1400. I thought I misunderstood. A 2hour job for $1400? I told him no thanks and called someone else. I had someone at my home 30 minutes later and it cost me $500. Go figure.
Reasonable price, fast, efficient, accommodating. Installers did a great job installing and cleaning up. Jeff did a thorough job explaining the system. Highly recommend

We had a transformer blow cause I was tryin to install a thermostat and somehow accidentally wired it wrong so we had to call someone out and we called Floyds and Jeff came out the very next day since it was after hours when we called. He came out and fixed it very quickly and also installed our new thermostat and he ran into an issue with the heat comin on instead of the air ( it was a menu option in the thermostat, not something he messed up) and he took the time to call the company of the thermostat and they told him what he had to do with and problem solved! Jeff was absolutely amazing!! He has a fantastic personality and I wont call anyone else from now on!!
I had my first interaction with this company today. I was frantic to find help for a problem that had gotten progressively worse over 24 hours in my elderly mothers home. Since I had spent the day dealing with various companies giving excuses for not being able to come out or even worse not answering or returning my messages...it was so refreshing to have a very polite actual person answer my call. She showed immediate concern when I explained my predicament and said she felt sure Mr. Floyd would try his best to come out due to the circumstances ... even though it was 4:45. In 30 minutes I received a call from Mr. Floyd who promised to come as soon as he finished a job across town. He took the time to ask questions about the problem and try to put me at ease. After arriving he took every care to assist me in a difficult situation. The solution turned out to be tricky to find and yet he patiently answered my numerous questions as he worked. Mr. Floyd was very knowledgeable and professionable. I would not hesitate to recommend him or this company to anyone and will definitely be using him for all of my heating and air needs in the future..
Very disappointing.I first contacted Floyds via phone on 1/1 and they said they would come on 1/2/19 to look at an HVAC issue.I sent a follow-up email on 1/1/19 morning with address and information.I sent another email that afternoon requesting what time they would be coming on 1/2/19.I had a phone call on 1/2/19 morning asking how I would be paying and I told them via credit card over the phone would be great. They said okay and that they would get to it that day.I have heard nothing from them since.

Consumer Alert – This summer we purchased a new four ton Goodman heat pump unit for our home. Two and half months later this new unit had a leak in the Evaporator Coil. After calling several HVAC dealers in the area, we finally were able to get a company that would come out and work on the problem. Floyd’s Heating & Air of Spartanburg SC came out right away. They were professional, courteous and quick to respond to our problem. They had two technicians working for an hour on the problem. They charged the unit with seven pounds of Freon to get the unit working again, and we the home owners thought this would be acceptable because it would not take long after that to complete the final service. They would come back and reclaim the Freon, replace the defective coil and recharge the unit.The problem is they have no follow through with Service. After determining the problem with the unit, Floyds’ immediately got on the phone with the wholesale company and ordered the replacement part. This is what they told me while on site; they gave me the company’s name where they ordered the replacement part through, which is where the equipment was originally purchased.Two days later we contacted the Manufacturer of the Goodman unit about the problem to see if they would help with the labor and warranty for the parts. Goodman manufacturer requested that we get the costs associated with the shipping and labor for the replacement. We contacted Floyd’s and ask them how much it was for shipping, and to also give us a cost for the installation. We also contacted the wholesale company about the shipping costs and they gave us a price. The shipping cost from Floyds was fifty percent higher in addition to the price quoted from the wholesale company. The wholesale company also informed us that the replacement part was not ordered.When calling Floyds again about the order problem they said “you order the coil”. In addition they quoted a ridiculous price for the installation of the replacement part. It seemed they were not interested in completing the service and the cost of doing business was not in their best interest.We contacted another HVAC company and they helped us order the new replacement part at no cost, and the fees were waived by Goodman manufacturer for the shipping of the replacement parts. This coordination took some additional work to complete the tasking, but it was completed.The newly selected HVAC Company picked up the replacement parts from the wholesale company, installed the new replacement parts and fully charged our unit back to manufacturer standards. The cost was half the price quoted by Floyd’s just for labor only.Floyd’s quoted us an hourly rate to install the replacement part while on site. On the phone his assistant gave us a flat rate one third higher than what they quoted on site.Floyd’s is quick to respond and poor on “Service”. If you want a courteous, quick response then call Floyds, but if you want it completed and a fair market price then call another company. Floyd’s knows the Heating & Air “business”; they just don’t understand the word “Service”. The price quoted was not consistent, the shipping charges were exorbitant and the service was not completed by Floyd’s.
