We have been SO impressed with Southlake ATA Martial Arts! It has been really great for our son and his confidence. The staff are all wonderful and he has learned so much. I’m a freak about communication and I really appreciate how communicative they are. The facility is clean and they even host fun events for the kids that our son really enjoys. Really glad we found them!

Southlake ATA is more than a martial arts center. It is a family. The instructors care about the kids and their families. They teach discipline, honesty, integrity and self-confidence. There is a passion that I have not found other places. I know they have made such a positive impact on not only my children but me as well. My family has been attending this school for over two years and have nothing but great things to say. Kids gain valuable life experience, learn discipline, develop self defense skills and gain confidence - our child joined as a kindergartner and is now preparing to test for black belt. My boys have been a part of ATA for years. It is a great school and the instructors are amazing. The kids learn martial arts as well as respect, focus, and self defense. The best part is that they have fun while doing it. I would highly recommend Southlake ATA.

World Champion caliber instructors with numerous titles and each with over 20 years of teaching experience. From their caring and professional staff to the families and other students on the floor this school is just the best! As someone who has grown up in and around martial arts, I had some pretty high expectations for where my children would go to train. Master Boyer and the team of instructors at Karate for Kids are simply world class. They do an amazing job of keeping classes enjoyable for young children while challenging them to become better martial artists and better people. We have two children (8 and 6) who have been training here for over a year and a third (3) who cannot wait to start going to class with his older brother and sister.To see the transformation that the instructors have been able to make in our daughter is a joy. When she started a year ago, she was very timid and just about afraid of everything. Today, she gears up and spars with bigger kids and last month was competing and winning medals at the World Championship tournament. This is thanks not to martial arts but more to the quality of people that are teaching at the school.If you are an adult looking for Taekwondo instruction, I think you will be hard pressed to find a better school. One simple indicator of the quality of instruction is to look at the number of world, state and district champs this one school has produced. It is pretty amazing. We have and continue to recommend Southlake Taekwondo & Karate for Kids to everyone who asks.

We started just 4 months ago, I was instantly impressed with the how knowledgeable the staff was, how comfortable they made my children during their first class and how organized everything runs. My children look forward to class and the instructors upbeat positive attitudes keep them engaged!

I went ATA SOUTHLAKE to try Taekwondo having never done it before. I love it. The instructors are friendly and make it fun. I’m now a member and working on my yellow belt.

Our family has been involved with ATA Southlake for over a year, and we have had a great experience. Our kids have grown during this time in technique and confidence due to the attention and skill of the instructors. The owners (Master and Mrs. Boyer) have created a great family atmosphere, and we can see a long future ahead of us here.

We never could have expected how important karate would be for our son. We started at age 4 and after many belts, at 6 he is a confident and committed green belt. I love how Master Boyer leads them firmly, but still has fun.Its been important to us that our son have another strong role model in his life to show him life lessons like respect and integrity. We refer to the teachings of his Taekwondo throughout our parenting because they are examples he understands. Its a really top notch program all around!

Amazing School and amazing instructors, they take the time to get to know all of the students. Master Boyer and Mrs. Boyer have been my instructors at previous schools and they made me want to stay there, because they made it fun. After several years of being away from Taekwondo, I was informed that the Boyers owned a school. When I went back it was as if I had never left, they got me right back into Taekwondo and it has been great for me. I would definitely recommend this school for anyone who wants to do martial arts especially Taekwondo.

ATA Karate is the perfect fit for our family. While they do a spectacular job teaching karate, their approach to leadership and responsibility is developing my son be a positive influence. They are teaching more than karate and it helps to reinforce what I am trying to do as a parent.

Southlake ATA is an Awesome place to attend for learning the art of Tae Kwon Do, getting in a good workout, working out alongside great people and the Instructors are Top Notch! My daughter started attending Southlake ATA in 2018, when she was 9 years old. She always looks forward to attending her class. Watching my daughter workout at Southlake ATA inspired me to re-start Tae Kwon Do training after 15 years of performing Ironman and Marathon race circuits, which took up most of my time. Now that I am back working out, both my daughter and I look forward to attending TWD classes and working out with the Outstanding Instructors at Southlake ATA.

If anyone is looking for a martial arts school, I strongly recommend you come to Southlake ATA Karate for Kids! I have worked with three of the instructors including the owners of this school ever since I was in third grade and they have been incredible teachers. After I earned my first degree black belt in fifth grade, I quit for eleven years and have recently gone back this summer and they have been incredibly nice welcoming me back!

We LOVE Karate For Kids in Southlake! We started going when our oldest son was 4; and, after trying other Taekwondo classes in the area, we instantly knew that Southlake Taekwondo Karate for Kids was the right school for us. They have a warm, welcoming, family feel to them, while they effectively teach honesty, integrity, discipline, confidence, respect, self control, goals, focus, and more. Now, as of May, our youngest son (4) is also a student of Master and Mrs. Boyer, and he loves it as much as his brother. Our children look forward to going to class every time, and so do I.

Excellent school and even better set of instructors! I was very leery trying a new school after the first school we went too was a complete failure and my son didnt like it but Im very glad my best friend convinced me to try this school out with her son. My youngest son is now a student and we couldnt be happier. They are patient, kind and loving with the kids, you can really tell they love what they do. Would and have recommended this school to everyone I talk to about it.

My daughter started with this location in September of 2014 and we have been extremely impressed from day one. What started as a trial run with a groupon, has become something we see her being involved with for the long haul. From day one, I have seen nothing but encouragement and lots of positive reinforcement from the staff towards the students and it is very apparent the passion that all of the instructors have for the work that they do. Our experience here makes the drive from Saginaw worth it.

Great school with even greater instructors

We signed my 6yr old daughter (whos now 7) up for Taekwondo at ATA in Southlake shortly after school started and we are beyond pleased with our decision! The staff is fantastic and really makes the most of each class— sometimes even working one on one after the class has ended if our girl is struggling with a new form. They are so patient with the little ones and thats super important to my husband and I. Our girl loves going to Taekwondo after school and I can see her confidence is blossoming. They offer parents night out which is a lot fun and we even had my daughters 7th birthday party here. I highly recommend giving them a shot!! You will not be disappointed!!

Heres the review I just finished on fbIf you want to be part of a community that rightly practices the spirit of songahm taekwondo, then you should visit and see just that, working itself out day after day. My two youngest (7,11) have been part of this community for nearly 1 year and my oldest (13) and I for about 8 months. You will find others who have been part of the community for many years, some more than 10. New students or not so new ones, all are eagerly treated with the respect dictated by the pledge.

My husband and I are very impressed with Southlake Taekwondo & Karate for Kids. We relocated here from the East a year ago and this school was valuable in helping our boys acclimate to TEXAS. They welcomed them and made them feel like part of the ATA tae kwondo community immediately. The instruction is superior compared to the Massachusetts school we attended many years ago when my oldest was 6. The staff has, under the direction and leadership of Mrs. Boyer and Master Boyer (owners who also do much of the teaching), a unique ability to teach and work with kids of all ages, different learning styles, personalities, and physical abilities. Their instruction goes beyond teaching a sport. Their education encourages respect for one another, loyalty, self-control, and helps build confidence and self-esteem. My boys participated in their first regional tournament recently and I was proud to see how far they have grown personally under their guidance and instruction. I hope it will be a life long interest for them. Communication between staff and parents is wonderful and they are readily available to dicuss your childs progress. The member families are warm and friendly, and the atomoshere is generally always upbeat and positive. This school is excellent and I would highly recommend it for families that can and are able to participate.
