We started taking our kids to the Southlake location prior to Trophy Club opening and then transferred to the newly opened Trophy Club location. Both locations are great. We love it here. The instructor and owner Master Lee are extremely knowledgeable as well. The instructors make it fun, yet they are disciplined correcting form so they improve, not just continue to make the same mistakes. They teach more useful things as well like self defense, blocking, punching techniques and that was left behind at another school. They have good life lessons, teach about respect, and good manners. Highly recommended.

I have a background in several styles of martial arts and I’ve have many different instructors over the years. Master Lee is by far the best ! He takes his time and focuses on good technique. Excellent facility and environment for our two kids. As a former black belt, I had the utmost confidence in their philosophy and teaching ethics. They were amazingly generous and sweet with our little ones. The instructors make the sessions structured, energetic and fun. My son is 5 and has had 3 failed seasons of soccer because he is painfully shy. I thought we might give martial arts a try. We tried a different martial arts place first because they were just a little cheaper and closer to the house. It did not go well (all business/no fun/no relationship building). THEN we tried JTIGER. My daughter has been going for 2 years now and it’s such a great atmosphere, instructors are very engaging, playful and wonderful with kids and at the same time it’s a good no nonsense balance. Kids are expected to do what they are supposed to, learn to be part of the team and great attitude. I really enjoy how playful the Master Lee is with kids and especially enjoy his very animated demonstrations of “how not do things”.

J Tiger has excellent high quality Instructors (Masters) who not only teach Tae Know Do but also emphasize discipline, honesty, compassion and integrity. The primary reason I decided to join the classes at the age of 42 with my 8yr old daughter is the enthusiasm, dedication and commitment of the Masters to make sure their students learn skills but also the responsibility of when to use them. I have enjoyed every class and I am more fit then I have ever been.

My son just started taking lessons at J Tiger with Master Lee. We were looking for an activity that would engage our 5 year old son physically and help with his focus. I love learning taekwondo at J.Tiger and it definitely deserves a 5 star rating. I have been a student at this martial arts studio for almost 8 years and I have had awesome experiences. Master Lee and all the instructors are very kind and work very hard everyday.

I cannot say enough positive things about Master Lee and his program. Our 7 yo son was so shy and apprehensive about trying any new things that we did a private lesson to get him comfortable - and he loved it. But, the first day, he still ran out of the class crying because he was so nervous. Master Lee was so wonderful with him. Told him it was OK, to come back the next day and try again. And he did...and loves it. Master Lee really seems to understand each childs unique needs/learning style and teaches through amazing discipline yet with so much love. He gets our son and how to work with him. The changes we have seen in 4 short months have been nothing short of amazing. I simply cannot recommend Master Lee (and the rest of his staff are wonderful as well!) enough. If you have a shy child, or one where group sports isnt their thing, or even needs some help with respect, discipline, self esteem or confidence - you will get all this and more from J Tiger.

J Tiger Martial Arts is Master Lee. Master Lee knows when to push a child and he knows when to hug a child. In a Nintendo world, we find Tae Kwon Do a positive influence that allows the child focus, reflection and direction.Highly recommend!

Ive been in J Tiger for 6 years and they have taught me so much things such as discipline, mental strength, and the true meaning of martial arts. This dojo has been certified at World Tae Kwon Do Federation and also the head master, Master Lee, came from the world renown Tae Kwon Do college of Yong-In. Not only that the environment of this dojo is fun and kid friendly, also teens and adults can train hard professionally. There is lots of dojo near or in Southlake, but J Tiger is probably the best you can choose to learn the true Tae Kwon Do.

We did a lot of research and visited many places before choosing the martial arts school for my son. We were impressed by Master Lees extensive experience and training in Korea. He is absolutely the real deal when it comes to Tae Kwon Do. He and all the instructors work so well with all the students. From the little Tigers to the adults. I was so inspired by Master Lee that I recently started taking an adult day time class. If you are looking for an authentic Tae Kwon Do Master and a great place for any age, this is the best!
