Half of the haircuts I have gotten here are terrible. I always ask for a simple fade and trim on the top but to some, that means shave one side and the back of my head, and fade the other. And forget about a “trim”, they’re going to take however much they want. What happened to a normal haircut? When someone says a fade and a trim, it doesn’t mean they want some undercut fashion boy haircut.

No waxing, eyebrow tints, etc, here - just some good country dudes trying to make a living cutting hair well, and watching fishing and hunting shows on TV. This is a great place to support just for what it is - just dont support it too much! Ha! They have another location at 26 and Glade in Colleyville as well. Not a bargain shop but reasonably priced...these fellas have to make a living!

Been coming here for a few years now. Always get a great cut. Barbers are friendly and know their craft. Took some time and read the reviews. Sounds like some of the negative reviewers need to go to a salon to get pampered. This is a barbershop; a place where guys can go and get great service. Thanks to Richard and all his guys!

Went to The Lodge Barbershop last week. My barber was Conner. He did a great job. If you havent given this establishment a shot at your business, do yourself a favor and give them a try.

I chose to go here because i was tired of the other chain barber shops. Tried the lodge on a whim and was able to get right in. They had 4 barbers going where other places have one or two.Able to walk right in and Cooper did an amazing job. Was friendly and professional. I will be back as it looks like i found a new place for a haircut.

Selfishly, I dont want to write this review cause I wanna keep this place to myself. 4 different people have cut my hair here and its been great everytime. Theyre fast at getting you to the chair too, so walk ins are easy.

This place is great. Found it by mistake, and glad I did. All barbers are great, never had an issue. They are opening a second location soon also.

Please go see Tom! I showed him a picture of a haircut I wanted, he looked at it for 2 seconds, and in JUST 15 minutes I looked exactly like the picture. Incredible haircut, great conversationalist. Exceptional service.

One of the barbers was wearing the mask below his nose the entire time, completely defeating the purpose of wearing one. Customers were also being allowed to keep their masks off while receiving haircuts even when it wasnt strictly necessary. A shame because I have received a quality haircut from here prior to the pandemic.

Very nice location, all safety protocols in place and well sanitized before/after each client uses the chairs, etc. The service offering and options of memberships gives flexibility to the customer.

My 3rd time getting my hair cut here and I’ve started recommend this place to everyone. I’ve had 3 different barbers and each one (while having their own unique style) does a great job cutting my hair and making sure it’s what I wanted. David, gave me one of the best hair cuts I’ve had in a long time today and that is why I’m leaving a review.

Great barbershop under normal conditions, but lack of COVID safety was a real surprise. No masks, no social distancing. Did see attempt to keep things clean and spray down which was good. Would not go back until COVID is over. Barbers need to wear mask covers till we get through this.

Today I decided to stop by the Lodge after a long morning at the Doctors Office. My visit to the lodge was great, Richard the owner was professional and polite. I asked for a flat top that I could style and he made it happen with 100% perfection. When I was turned around to see it I was very happy. Richard gave me a perfect cut. I will be back for sure!

My grandson (9) and I have been coming here for two years. Experienced barbers, nice and friendly atmosphere, good conversations. Usually in and out in 30 minutes, a bit longer on Saturdays but we’ll worth the wait.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years now. I drive all the way from Wichita Falls to get a haircut and a straight razor shave and every time it’s nothing less than perfect. I feel like a million bucks after. Richard and the guys make it fun and enjoyable for everyone who walks threw the door.

Its wonderful to see so many great words about Richard and his The Lodge Barber Shop. I have been going to Richard for my haircuts ever since he first started cutting hair at the old Southlake Barbers that was at the southeast intersection of 1709 and Pearson.After he purchased that shop, I was thrilled that he decided to move it to the Davis/Continental location and rename it The Lodge since it is just out the Continental entrance to my neighborhood.I have watched him transform it into a great location as he decorated it in a rustic, outdoors motif. It reflects Richards love of the outdoors, of fishing, and of hunting. It is truly offers you a unique environment.I am very glad that Richard is so much younger than I am so that I wont need to worry about finding another barber during the remainder of my life.I highly recommend The Lodge as a traditional barbershop if you dont want or need all the foo-foo of those franchised shops.

This place is simply great - nice ambience, super friendly folks and great hair cut! Ryan did my hair cut and he is an expert. He was cool, listened to what kind of hair cut I wanted and when I asked little corrections he patiently did that. Highly recommended!

While a woman writing a barber shop review might not be the norm I felt compelled to write one after being taken here while my husband got his hair cut. I really didnt want to go because I always have a ugh I dont want to go in and sit there and be dealing with the kids while you get your hair cut and no one speaks type of mentality. I was thoroughly surprised and pleased with the warm and friendly environment that I was presented with when we all walked in. I had my two young children with me while we sat on the couch waiting for my husbands hair to be finished. It was done in a very reasonable time and we all enjoyed talking and swapping stories. I would definitely go back here just for the environment alone. My husband also love the haircuts he has received each time hes been so thats also good. Ladies, brings the kids out and enjoy twenty minutes while your husband gets his haircut.

Good hair cut but bad neck shave. The guy seemed to be in a rush and was really rough with the razer on my neck. A couple smaller cuts on the other side of my neck but not as bad as this one. Only my second time coming here and first time having a problem like this. The hair cut was good so Ill give them another try. Another problem like this though and Ill find another shop.

Ive been going to this barber shop for three years and I believe its the best in town. I cant get any better flat top anywhere else. I am in every week to keep my flat top looking good. One of the friendliest barber shops in DFW and the owner and his staff give outstanding hair cuts.

This place was awesome. Richard took his time with me and was very nice. He gave me some words of encouragement that I needed to hear. Honestly coming in I wasnt confident having a white guy cut my hair being a black male but Richard did a great job with my hair.

We learned about this place from Church and have going there for months now. My husband had a few pleasant experiences, exchanging about business with the Owner since they have a friend in common and we alsoown a business in Southlake.The first time they mistreated and laughed about my son I brushed it off. Today, once again.. they put not only my child but myself in a horrible position.My son was almost crying on the chair and the gentleman that I assume owns the place was screaming at the both of us saying “what I didn’t do nothing why are you mad?”This is what I have to say to you Sir with all the respect, this is the last time my husband and son will come to your business. I would love for you to be nicer to your patrons, be gentle and kind. I couldn’t wait to be done and get out of there. Consider being a little gentler when dealing with kids and kinder as clearly that scared my 9 year old, that was doing absolutely nothing but just sitting on a chair getting his hair cut or to his parent also just sitting on a chair waiting. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life. I too wanted to cry... horrible uncomfortable situation.

Richard, the owner, did not take the time to cut or groom as well as he should have. Seems more interested in taking care or talking to people he knows instead of focusing on the current customer, Me. This was the second time I had been there in over 8 months and thought that it would be a great time to return due to the holidays. I needed a good fade and trim on top and then asked for a beard trim and edging. He cut off most of the length to my beard and outlined the bottom unevenly. Not to mention the shortness he added to my head. Im pretty picky on who cuts my hair, even though I mostly wear caps, but also dont like to be hurried on just to send me on my way and take my money. 30 bucks for a 10 min cut and beard trim is not worth the time. He also lathered my neck and it turned cold in 1 minute and straight razored my neck in 30 seconds. I thought he would take more pride and time in each and every customer no matter the relation to the shop. New or old customers. A classic style barber shop should spend more time on simple cuts as well. I watched another guy before me get a flat top cut and he already looked like he was trimmed up but he wanted to go to scalp, and he was seated longer than me. Very disappointed in this times service, especially as it was the Owner who cut my hair. I will definitely debate weather or not to go back due to this experience. He even questioned me to was I unhappy and that this was a place of The holy spirit! What away to win over your customer!

As Southlakes only real mens barber shop, (not a salon masquerading as a barber shop) I have had my hair cut here for years. Richard is a top notch barber. This place gets you in and out in hardly any time, and with a superior cut, high and tight.Last weekend, I was running late but had to get a cut before this weeks business travel. I called 3 minutes before they closed and explained my situation. They had no problem staying open late to help me.I highly recommend this barber shop.

Tried coming here at 2:30pm on a Saturday, opened the door and the guy said they weren’t taking any more, rudely. So why have hours till 3pm? Maybe update your hours to 2:30pm? Have been wanting to try them out for my boys but I’ll take my business elsewhere. Too many other barbers to choose from.

Richard is the best - he is highly skilled and the ambiance of the barber shop is great. Plus the straight razor shaves are super, super nice. Outdoorsmen is really a nice diamond in the rough.

This is the best place to get a haircut and shave in the area. When I first moved to TX I tried 5-6 spots before being introduced to this place. This is not a salon, its a true mens barbershop. Theres a big difference and youll know it when you walk in. Richard (the owner) is excellent at what he does, genuine with customers, and runs the kind of shop youll want to become a regular at.

Best place to get your hair cut, trimmed and groomed in the greater DFW metroplex. Richard (the owner) takes his time personally with each client and gives you the look you need. The shop is always busy which tells you something for sure! You will always leave happy and satisfied. Never once in 2+ years of going have I had a bad experience or have witnessed someone else have a bad experience. The atmosphere is positive and inviting. The owner obviously doesn’t care about running a good business. He treats his employees like garbage. Doesn’t take the time to give you a semi decent cut, and will stop to answer phone calls in the middle of your cut. With his attitude I’m surprised he still has any business at all.

Have been going to this barber shop for many years. The location move, the new ambiance, and the addition of Josh to the team have made this barber shop hard to beat in the Southlake/Keller area. I have had hot shaves in Italy, London, Vancouver, San Francisco, and New York, and my experience is that both Richard and Josh can go toe-to-toe with the best.If you are looking for a friendly and professional environment, one for the mans man, look no further than The Lodge!

Worst experience ever. Didnt do what I asked the first time, and on top of that it wasnt even cut even. Went back for them to fix it, and they still didnt listen to what I asked. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay more money for a haircut I dont want because The Lodge at this point took more off than I wanted. Dont waste your time or money here.

Ive been about a.dozen times and is a nice barber shop with a lodge atmosphere and authentic old barber chairs.Stopped going here after a constant churn of barbers and long wait times. Just not my thing to have to wait so long and the prices are starting to creep up too.
