Professional, polite, courteous, but for the price vs what you get if you get a beard trim definitely be aware of. The environment was excellent, but the styling abilities for a beard are somewhat limited. But they will definitely do their best to help you with your vision. Overall good experience

Left the chair bleeding after only getting a beard line up! Are you serious? Absolute worst experience going to a barber here. I specifically told them I had a wedding to go to tomorrow and that all I needed was to get my beard lined up for a fresh look. Little did I know Id be leaving the chair bleeding on my way out. Just in time for bridal party photos this afternoon! Great. Will NOT being going back and am completely appalled that this is The Gents Place version of a great customer experience. Unbelievable.

I have been going to this location for a while...today I had an appointment for 11:55 am and I was a little late and checked in at 12:06 pm....travelled from Carrollton to Southlake BTW...the girl at check-in tells me I am late and will ONLY have time to cut my hair and not wash. I asked why? I was only a little late....Complete shock and just left and cancelled my appointment....usually they make you wait for your appointment.WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE GENTS PLACE EVER AGAIN....NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL OR CONSIDERATION.

Very nice location, all safety protocols in place and well sanitized before/after each client uses the chairs, etc. The service offering and options of memberships gives flexibility to the customer. The staff is very friendly and hair stylist (Morgan) does a very good quality job on my haircut, understanding my needs and giving me suggestions tailored to my hair style. Ultimately, you get what you pay for. It’s not inexpensive, but I enjoy paying more for a quality haircut.

Comfortable atmosphere. I liked the flexibility of walk-in scheduling. Nice amenities and a great selection of specialty grooming products. My hairstylist wasnt quite as experienced as I would have liked, but they fixed the mistake without any trouble. Great customer service and convenient locations. Very clean and tight-run shop.

The staff is always friendly and all stylist/barbers are well qualified. The place is always clean. Drinks are poured well and selection is pretty good. They also offer a wide selection of high quality toiletries and accessories for men. Really the only thing missing is a decent humidor for the cigar enthusiast to make this a sort of “gentlemen’s one stop shop”.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I love the atmosphere and the attention to detail the ladies continue to give especially during these crazy times we’re in. I changed over to The Gents place and I am so happy that I switched. I used to think that I had good service until I came here and they raised the bar. The staff here is amazing and are all about making sure that you get a great haircut and enjoy the process. As a meme we there are lots of benefits including complimentary beverages and the availability of a shoe shine service.Every hair cut I have gotten here has been great and by staying with the same stylist they just keep getting better. I can go for four weeks in between cuts and still look good the full time.

Took advantage of “Member for a day” advertisement and enjoyed the cut.I went in on an off Friday and was immediately offered a drink. I ordered a crown and coke and waited about 15 minutes for my cut.When I sat down with with Morgan, she asked what I wanted done and I explained how I liked my hair. The cut took about an hour, including a quick shampoo and style.One thing that made the cut stand out is I am low vision. I can’t tell if someone misses up until my wife tells me. I never doubted that the cut was done correctly and looks great!The overall cost is considerably more than what I would pay - but I believe there is value. Two complimentary drinks a visit, shoe shining, and a great cut for about $50.

Upon arriving I was so shocked at the many options they had from the cologne to the hats and definitely a woman shining your shoes. Became a member here about 6 months ago. My experiences have always been 5*. I visited one of their barbers, Erick, once or twice a month for a 3 course and a beard trim and he always did a fantastic job. A Makers Mark or 2 to start the experience followed up with an always top notch haircut and beard trim is well worth my $50 + tip per month.Unfortunately, I received a text the day before my last scheduled haircut that Erick was no longer here. Sad news considering he always did such an awesome job and very easy to talk to. I came in the next day and had my haircut and beard trim done by Eddie and he did an excellent job as well. I will definitely be going to see him in the future.My only negative experience came a few weeks ago when I scheduled a beard trim and clean up with Jonah for 7:05 PM. I received a call around 5:30 that they actually wanted me to come in at 6:50 instead. I showed up at 6:40, got a drink, and she let me know he was running just a little bit late. Turns out I waited over an hour before he finally called me back. Did a good job but was a little disappointing having to wait an hour when i made an appointment and was only going in for a quick clean up and beard trim.Overall, still a 5* place!

This was my first time at The Gents Place, and I must say, I left completely impressed, and ready to go back immediately.After being greeted by a wonderful and welcoming staff, you have your choice of beverage. This could be anything from bottled water, to a Pepsi, or even a finger of Makers Mark.Once the quick tour was over, I was introduced to my specialist, a lovely young woman who promised to handle my crazy mop of a head.after a 20 minutes cut, I was brought to the shampoo area. The smell of eucalyptus quickly filled the dark room as a warm towel was placed over my face and a warm lather and scalp massage ensued.Final touches of leave-in conditioner and matte hold, and I was done. To my surprise an hour had passed, it felt like 20.This was my 3 Course experience, and to be honest, next time I want the full 7 course.The music, the safety razors, the design and decor, the smell, its like walking into the 50s, Mad Men style.And at the end of it all, because it was my first time, my 3 course was gratis. I tipped my specialist, as any good gentlemen would do, bought some aftershave balm (all of which they use and have in store available to you) and left. Extremely impressed.Needless to say, I signed up for a membership right on my phone from the parking lot.Highly recommended.

Not worth the money.I gave this place a try... 3 times in fact. Its just not worth the money. If youre going for the express service (which is their only real haircut & wash option), you only get 30 minutes allotted to you. As others have said, they seem to run behind quite a bit, and why would you expect anything less from 30 minute slots?? Every cut Ive had (3 different stylists) felt rushed. Two out of the three came out uneven and not well done. (They of course offered to comp the next one as a result) The third and final cut came out ok, but its still obviously an amateur job.Ive been to many high end salons, paying $40, $50, or even $65 and up for a mens haircut. If youre going to charge these kinds of prices, you need to be at the top of your game, and unfortunately the Gents Place Southlake just isnt.The thing is, most men arent that particular about their hair anyway, so if youre that kind of guy, then youll be fine here, getting your 2 free drinks and your average haircut that anyone could do well. But if you have difficult to manage and style hair that requires a precision haircut, youre better off going somewhere like Toni & Guy, or a proper modern / hipster barber shop that really knows what theyre doing and will make sure your cut is done right and not rushed.

Today Marks the first time I have used a higher end hair salon of any caliber i am usually that Super cuts cheap in and out but that will never be the case again. Today Jena and the girls at the Southlake location actually turned me around and gave me the experience of a lifetime. Hands down Jenas hands were magical and the cut she gave me was truly as if she had been doing this her whole life. Thank you and I will definitely be getting that membership real quick.

This is the most horrific haircut experience I have ever had. It was a morning nightmare. My hairdresser did not have the minimal skills in barbering.When I sat there to explain how I want my hair to be, the lady said she got it and she assured me that she does that all day. I felt like she is a professional. Turned out to be an amateur that has no idea what she’s doing. She only used the scissors - no clipper or hair trimmer although I did ask for it. I could not give further comments because the lady was in denial. She thought she is an expert. I might have ended with a worse haircut than this (as if there would be).I was going to get my beard trimmed too, but I freaked out. I said I don’t have time. This is my honest opinion. The Gents Place has an amazing and it got a feels for a nice barber shop. I’m sorry to burst some bubbles, but I have visited more than 20 barber shops in my life and this is one of the worst haircut I ever had. Thank God The Gents Place is not a hospital. After all, hair does grow eventually.

Meh. Everyone was very nice and friendly. They seemed excited I was there and were very attentive.The haircut I received was borderline adequate at best. Not really pleased as it was cut shorter on one side vs the other. If I went in wearing a hat, I could see how a mistake on style would happen, but I wasnt so it was obvious how I combed it.My wife responded by wow, they messed that up when I got home.I also got a beard trim and straight edge shave. It was better then the haircut but I was left with hair stuck on my neck, inside and outside of my shirt. Made for an uncomfortable evening. I wouldnt expect to be shower clean, but a little wipe down would have done the trick.I guess the attraction is the bar and relaxed atmosphere. Seems they are trying to make the place a hangout for guys. I would choose service and quality any day over sitting at a bar for a drink.I was really hoping for a good experience after reading other reviews.

So I’ve been coming to the gents place for almost two years and I cannot believe the experience the past 2 Sunday’s . Kayla needs to come back. She was attentive and so personable. Came in today and there was no coffee until one of the girls brought it in and there was sugar packets from gas station. It just isn’t the same. The girl that was supposed to run the desk didn’t show up and no one could run cards, add services, or even check guests in. They were having to write card numbers and such down! Nothing has changed as far as the service goes but how cheap the atmosphere was just blew me away!

Cool place if you are a new age male. They offer facials and manicure petacure, along with haircuts, beard trims, shaves and boot/shoe polish. The haircut I got wasnt great, not horrible but I specifically told her I didnt want it to high and it was a tad bit higher than what I wanted... especially since I made a point to tell her I wanted a low, low fade. Facials arent really my thing, it was nice change of pace, not something I would do weekly. But you get 2 free drinks and they have a decent selection. Cool place, just not the type of place I would regularly get a haircut.
