I have been coming here for many years (genetic condition). The girl at the front desk I usually deal with is Annie, and she is an angel. Currently I have Dr. Kubrak, who is extremely knowledgeable, always helpful, and is a great person. My therapist, Cindy Pruett, is also extremely knowledgeable, CARING, and a gem. The staff are rude and lie to you, then blame you for their own mistakes. The refill line and psychiatry offices, to be specific. They tell you one thing, then act extremely antagonistic when you forward them their own information with rude tones. I dont know who told you that - you did. The Guidance Center did. Please dont imply Im lying, or it didnt happen - it did. For a mental health clinic, they have sure do love to prey on the mentally ill and gaslight them. Id like to blame Covid19 for their disorganized mess and overly-stressed staff, but sadly Ive had to deal with this in the past. Its nothing new. If youre looking to get mental health help, this is the kind of toxic environment you should avoid.

Helen Harvey is the worst counselor there is. My niece attends her sessions through. She then justified that it was ok for my niece to run away from her mother. A proper counselor would do everything she can to make their relationship. Instead she wrote to the court it would be best if she stayed away. Horrible counselor, I will be speak to any I can to get her licensed revoked. Oh yeah she also refused a 16 year medical records to the parents

The staff here is the best. Yes, you sometimes have to leave a message on the answering machine. The receptionists dont just answer phones. They are super busy, checking people in, making appointments etc. but they always get back with you. My therapist is amazing. She is always on time and she has really gotten me through some rough times. When Ive had meltdowns I left a message on her answering machine and she contacted me within 24 hours. The doctors are good. They dont do therapy. They are mainly there to keep track of your meds if you take them and make adjustments if needed. Ive had nothing but good experiences here.

I dont see any good from this place. A specialist reports everything to a parent so when you do bring up a concern its not in privacy which then harms the individual there getting help. What happen to having the best interest in the client?????..?

Went here before and was helpful but I definatly plan on going back. My last therapist was helpful.

Doctor messed up and took me off the meds i was on for 14 years and ended up having 3 seizures due to it. And im still waitig to speak with a medical director!!! And they switch u doctors every month so than u gotta re explain your self.

Absolutely the best place there is for REAL help. I cant say enough about Dr. Symanski and the entire staff are wonderful

Well, I was extremely satisfied for years, except when the woman behind the counter that answers phones was completely rude as hell to myself N a few others, however the supervisor got on it after she caught some of the things she was saying to us. And of course this was something I can totally get over quickly. What I could NOT get over and still cant understand is why I show up to see my doctor if 19 months and they tell me hes been switched. No warning, no nothing. So upon meeting a new stranger that is now my doctor, the guy starts deciding for me on changing my meds around and such. Either way, Im gunna givem another run cause besides those two things I always liked the guidance center.

Therapist was 15-20 minutes late for the appointments that I had when I always showed up early. Didnt seem to value my time like they expect us to value theirs. Have been trying to cancel further appointments for over a week now and no reaponse. Therapist wanted me to do an excercise minimum 3 times a day, but NEVER emailed it to me like he said he was going to. In my opinion, very unprofessional. This was my very first experience with therapy and it was an awful one!

Staff is nice but appts start at 830 and the building is still locked. People are outside waiting after opening time again

Despite all these rude reviews. My personal experience with this office as a patient has been successful. Mrs pruet is a very kind women and I definitely see her as a friend ! Mr kubrek as well. There is a few rude workers at the windows at times but the other workes at windows are ok. I still go here now and they also help me with legal troubles and even writing notes for them!

I feel they are only there for a job and only a few care to help.

Not a place if you are having marriage issues. Went to this place several years ago with my X when we were trying to patch things up. The counselor we were assigned basically said everything was all my fault and I shouldnt get mad or upset if my X wanted to do drugs or stay out all night drinking. Wanted me to go to Al-Anon meetings so I could understand that substance abuse was a sickness. Than proceeded to tell me that she was doing me a favor even seeing me because my insurance hadnt approved it yet. I am guessing they did because I never got a bill. Over all I think the woman was very biased and was a waste of my time and money. When she called after my wife had moved to her families to get dried out to see if I wanted to make another appointment she was like well we can help you deal with this as if the fact that she had pretty much give my X a free pass to act like an idiot never happened and that I really needed her help. My guess is the insurance was approved and they wanted to milk a few more sessions out of the insurance company. Maybe they are better at one on one service and the woman even said she wasnt a marriage counselor which should of been my first clue to find someone else because despite her being older and her masters degree that she was so readily to point out, she had no clue what she was doing other than pushing her liberal beliefs.

Mental health should not be so complicated to receive. The process is insanely long. If you have social issues dont bother. Theyll give you more anxiety then help. Whats the point of therapy when your filling out required paper work every couple visits.

WHERES THE ZERO STAR BUTTON cause thats what this very rude and unorganized business needs ... they dont even have a manger thats what we were told when we called September 6th 2017 at 5pm from the rude women behind the desk who refused to give us her name very unbusiness like!!! she was rude and asking my wife personal questions she should not ask!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE SMH... my wife has went 2months without them getting her meds filled or making her an appointment with her doctor and they NEVER check their voicemale so dont wast your breath on it!!!... They are liers and very bad business Orientated...IF YOU WANT MORE MENTAL PROBLEMS THEN YOU STATED WITH THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU... if not DONT EVEN WAST YOUR TIME HERE ... THE COMENTS YOU SEE THAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS PLACE are probably new patients... 2yrs of this place... I keep telling my wife to find another place cause this place needs to be closed down and I will do everything in my power to make that happen. .. I am a business owner my self and I cant believe this place smh... my wife gets more anxiety just calling this place... CAN I GIVE THEM 100 NEGITIVE STARS that button should be available for such a terrible business!!! The people working behind the desk and on the phone in the building where the physic doctors are in the back by Allen Rd need mental health help them self they should be never working there... I love it because of the toys and nice staff it just makes you feel warm insid just like you are qt home with your mom and dad I LOVE THE GUIDEANCE C

I went twice for my first scheduled appointment. The first time I was told I was a half hour late to reschedule. I showed them the message on my phone proving I was not late but early. I go to my rescheduled appointment and sign in. After waiting 45 minutes, I go to the desk to ask how long before I am seen. They said my appointment was an hour later. I was never called letting me know my appointments were changed. The people at the desk were not helpful. I told them a week ago that I needed my meds. I was a new patient and just moved here from Texas. I had a phone intake plus I had to go through a second intake -- before I could be seen. I had to leave. I felt disrespected, my time and efforts to be seen, were carelessly handled. Now I have to find another place - they escalated my anxiety, depression, and thoughts of suicide.

None of the receptionist can answer a phone ive been trying to cancel an appointment for 3 days. I wont pay any fee for not showing up i rather keep my job than waste my time with a place that cant answer a phone.

How do you expect progress when you cancel my daughters appointments every time she has one. Im sick and tired at the amount of nonchalant attitude toward mental health, more especially our youths mental health.You should be ashamed of yourselves.

From reading comments from people, then reading the response from the owner who only says Im sorry, please contact our customer service representatives..What the ? This owner cares nothing about anyone but banker. Terrible owner and terrible staff just because of that BS answer.
