The owner is a fair and honest man!I took my automobile there to be checked due to a noise I was hearing. The owner had a service person drive my auto on the highway and locally trying to figure out the noise. The noise was not detected so the owner got into the auto with me so I could perhaps point out the noise to him and of course, no noise sounding until after I left. He could have easily have said, oh yes this is wrong or that. No, he told me there seem to be nothing wrong with the auto and bring it back if or when the noise increases so that they are able to detect it and service me. I went to pay for their time and he said, no no, no charge, it was my pleasure! Wow!

Absolute best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic. I got my car towed here after my car started overheating because my water pump seized up. Within about an hour Sal gave me a call back, let me know what was wrong, and gave me a honest, clear breakdown of the costs for parts in labor. Later that evening, my car was done and I picked it up the next morning. Sal and his crew are honest, friendly, affordable, and hardworking. Even though this is about 45 minutes from where I live, I will not be seeing any other mechanic again.

The whole operation was very straightforward. Staff was friendly and I was updated about the status regularly.

Had an oil leak on my car and went to the GM dealership in Southfield. They told me it was an oil line leak and it would cost $1200 for labor and that did not include parts. I went to Alpha Auto the next day. I dropped my car off at 9:30 and within the hour they diagnosed (was not an oil line leak) the problem and gave me a VERY reasonable rate.Stay away from the dealerships and go with Alpha. I highly recommend this business.

Prior to coming here it was hard to find a reliable and up front mechanic shop. They dont stray from the truth, tell exactly whats wrong with the car without hidden costs. To feel welcomed is a huge bonus for me and the money I am spending. The manager Sal allows you to get involved with decisions about the repair and doesnt charge an obscene amount for repairs. Went to four different mechanic shops to take a look at my 2010 BMW X5 the transmission was slipping on it. Finally my 5th stop Alpha Auto Care turned out to be the best one. And he preferred to give us advice and even dont charge us! We were very happy with his help and honesty. I came in in person Monday to ask sal about getting my car fixed. Was told to bring on on Tuesday, I brought in Tuesday 10:00am as soon as they opened . I was told the vehicle will be diagnosed for 50$ and they will let me know what needs to be done. In a brief phone call. It gets to be around 4 on Tuesday he says after I call him he will be able to look at it Wednesday. Wednesday comes around its about 4 again I have no response from him. I take upon my own to call and see whats going on. He claims he was going to call me soon. He claimed to fixed the problem and to come pay my bill of 100$ . I ask sal to show me my vehicle is working properly he say no you must pay first. I pay him the money pull off and my car dose the same exact thing after driving 2 miles. I believe I had treatment like this because I am a young black man please be aware!

I was coming into town from 4 hours away. My brakes started grinding. I pulled into Alpha Auto Service because it was near my hotel. It was almost 5pm (parr’s stores closing). They made a call and got the parts and got it in and done before closing time. I couldn’t have been happier. I observed Sal & the crew interact with other clients as they came in. They were professional & helpful to each person. If I lived on this area, this would be my mechanic.

Not only do they have outstanding technical skills to fix anything, with Sal thats just the beginning. He is honest, reliable, respectful, fair, kind and always a pleasure to deal with. He has taken care of our family BMWs, Jaguars, and everything else for years, including cars of our friends that we have referred to him. He takes the time to figure out whats needed, explains what the issues are, offers alternatives if there are any, and actually repairs things instead of just replacing parts until the problems go away like some other shops do. Called just to get a price on labor for my vehicle. Said they did suspension so I asked a price on a rear axle assembly just for labor and he asked me was it a all wheel drive vehicle. At first I said no, because that’s not what I was told and he said well then how does it have a rear axle. So I said ok well I guess it does, he then said well what you’re saying makes no sense, I need to see it. Not sure if these reviews are based on simple oil changes or whatever. But any mechanic that claims he knows what he’s doing would know what I am talking about. Hung up. If you can’t get past a simple phone call, not worth the business.UPDATE: whoever the owner or salesperson is called and threatened me in a voicemail saying I didn’t know what I was talking about and I should’ve had the right information and he doesn’t just give prices to people just to get them in the door (which is acceptable) just because I know words like this are more powerful than any useless argument I could ever have with someone as low class as that, I’m going to post it all here. If anyone wants to hear the voicemail, I will save and post on YouTube. For 1, no one calls just to give bad reviews. You’re not that important. If you’re wrong, you’re wrong and obviously you’re guilty about something because you called upset. 2) I don’t have anything wrong. I was right with the first answer I had. Was able to call another shop, gave them all the info I had and they gave me prices for each. So SHAME ON YOU. And 3) everything always comes back full circle. So while you think you did something by leaving a voicemail of what you think is putting me down, think again. Reach out to me unwanted again, I’ll call the police.
