This is the most unusual post office I’ve been to. It’s located in the old building. It’s beautiful! A little confusing inside but the workers are very nice and polite.

My preferred post office for sending out packages! I run a business and cant recommend the Southern Pines Post Office enough. All if the workers Ive encountered have been courteous, kind, and extremely professional, not to mention how fast the service is! Got a PO box here just because I trust the staff so much.

Good, not excellent. People at the counter are friendly but generally far slower than the surrounding town post offices. I am glad to see new faces working there. General observation, no agenda - The women who work the counter get twice as many checked out than the men do so if there is a woman up there, the line goes faster. Never had a problem with mail until today and Ive lived here fifteen years.

I sent an envelope to Europe in febr. 2020 requested PRIORITY and paid $ 25.00. with a 6 to 10 days delivery garanteed. i found from USPS that it was sent 1rst.class on with a value of $ 8.25. and on march 1rst not yet delivered !UPS southern pines is a private business and will do the same to you to make an extra buck. i will take this to ups hq.

Im getting highly perturbed with this post office. They are very nice on the phone but someone isnt doing a very good job. I have called for over a week about my medication that was delivered to my old address. The mail carrier stops every day. I have called over 5 times and they take my number yet no one has bothered to call me. One day they have my meds then the next day they cant find it. Its constant phone tag. One of the medications in the bag is one that I desperately need. I called the other day and spoke to a woman who said I could pick it up the next day at the post office. I was unavailable due to medical reasons. So I called the following day to tell them my husband would pick it up. They said they couldnt find it!! I dont understand how they have it one day as then dont the next. Now I cant even get through to talk to anyone!

Returned EASTER gift packages to sender because they couldn’t find address?!?!? Supposedly arrived Easter, I read the notification that they would be returned. Called Monday morning 8:30am to make sure they did not return them. They said the packages where already sent back, HUH?!?The address was correct, even pulled it up on google maps. What the?!?!?Horrible

Thursday: This is by and far the worst example of customer service I have dealt with in a long time. Several months ago I ordered a package that was to be delivered to my home (3 blocks from the post office). It was first sent from Southern Pines to the Aberdeen post office and then back again. After several phone calls(they take the phone off the hook so you can not get through) and a refusal of the office to give my package to someone I sent with identification to pick up the package on my behalf, I took off work early to retrieve my mail. Upon arrival, I was informed that I would have to pay for the package being sent back and forth and never delivered to me. I refused. After escalating the issue with the regional office I was refunded what I had to pay to pick up the box.Today I had a package that was scheduled for delivery. I made sure to leave a note that it be left beside my mailbox on my doorstep as I work over an hour away and am never home during hours they deliver. My request was ignored. I needed the package TODAY which now leaves me with the only option of leaving work early to retrieve the box again. This is the third time this has happened.Friday: Yesterday I finally got someone on the line and then spent 20 minutes on hold. The lady I spoke with reassured me that she was sending the carrier back out to deliver the package. Upon getting home from work there was no package and the notice was clipped to the note I left on my front door requesting them to leave the package. I paid $26 for the box to arrive yesterday. I will now have to leave work early today or wait until tomorrow morning and go in to work late because they will not deliver the package!!!!!If I could give 0 stars I would. Use UPS, FEDex or even DHL if at all possible. This is ridiculous.

People at the counter are always very courteous and efficient but had a fewVery frustrating experience these past few days! Left the area due to hurricane and put my mail on hold.I cancelled the mail hold after I got back. Did not receive my mail 2 days after cancellation so I called the local number at 9am on Friday to see if I can come in and get my mail. The guy told me my mail was already out for delivery. I gave him my address and he confirmed it was getting delivered! No mail at 4pm so I called again and the same guy assured me that MY MAIL WAS GETTING DELIVERED, the driver was just a few minutes from my house! I told him my address again to see if he can check and he assured me it was getting delivered! Waited all evening and nothing came. Saturday morning I call and its the same guy! When i told him my mail never arrived on Friday, he asked for my address and told me my mail is on hold till the 25th! I gave him the comfirmation number for cancellation and tells me that they never received my cancellation!!! For two days he tried to assure me that my mail was getting delivered and 15 mins before they close on Saturday he tells me that my mail is still on hold and that I could come pick it up in person if i wanted!!!

Im having a lot of important documents FedExre to me now as a lot just never show up via USPS. Could be this place. Could be the Fayetteville Distribution center. But the junk mail sure makes it on time!

For the second time today, the mail carrier left packages on top of my car. How disrespectful of my property! Next time take 3 more steps and put it on the porch.

I was out of town and they left a paper saying I need to pick up my package my wife gets there and it magically disappears....Nobody is taking responsibility for this so all I can do is wait.
