Weve been going to Stebbins for over a year now for all of our car service needs. Ive been an avid dealer person for over 10 years, only bringing my car to the dealer for any issues/service. Luckily we found Will through word of mouth & havent been back to the dealer since! Weve brought in a vehicle thinking it needed something really expensive, after diagnosing Stebbins figured out the problem and it was a super easy fix. Their honestly is second to none, which in this line of work is SO important! Their prices are more than fair, I never feel like Im getting ripped off leaving there. Lastly, Brentt in the office is the best, hes so great on the phone and is always able to answer any questions I have. Were always able to get our vehicles in quickly also. If youre looking for a new mechanic, I couldnt recommend Stebbins more! 10/10⭐️

My car broke down during the recent snowstorm. Clutch went to the floor and stayed there, I couldnt drive the car or get it gear.I had my car towed and the first shop I was going to have it towed to refused it saying the transmission was broken and they dont do that type of work There was no way the transmission was broken.I had my car towed to Stebbins instead. The owner Will stayed after hours for us to arrive and get my car off the tow truck into the shop. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a ruptured hydraulic line to the clutch slave cylinder and had it repaired quickly.

We broke down on I-84 on our way back from a vacation. We were extremely lucky to have found Stebbins and their great team. They took care of everything from the first call all the way through to getting us back on the road. If you need a mechanic, dont look anywhere else. 10/10 would recommend!!

I went to stebbins auto for an oil change and because I didnt want the 45 dollar air filters, (what a joke bought them for 15 online) they purposely forgot to put my cap back on. Oil spilled all out and I had to get more oil, a cap, and clean it. I spoke with Will stebbins that day, he was rude and argumentative. Steer clear of these guys for your own good

Been using Will and his shop for years. It may not be the cheapest shop around but you are getting your work done by honest mechanics who arent going to bleed you dry for work you dont need so in the end youll leave happy. They take their time and do it right the first time so you dont have to get it done again. Couldnt recommend them enough.

Excellent service in a timely manner at a reasonable price!

Had my check engine light come on and was able to determine that the issue was an oxygen sensor. I was able to easily book an appointment over the phone, the person was very friendly. The day of the service appointment, they confirmed the faulty sensor and even took me back into the shop to show me exactly what the problem was. They were able to get the part same day and I came back later to have it installed. It was smooth sailing with Stebbins and I would definitely bring my car back for any auto repair and maintenance. Best place in Southbridge, hands down

The Best Repair Shop in Central MA. Everyone here works as a team, and they are the A team. One of the only places comfortable, skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced at taking in unique trucks and cars regardless of size or issue that are considered intimidating to dealers or others. John is always friendly and professional, and is able to get you into an appointment to be seen quickly. Andy knows a lot about transmission issues. Mike is highly skilled in complex electrical issues on big trucks. Often times technicians throw parts at problems and neglect to diagnose these underlying electrical issues. Im very thankful and glad I found these guys, and that they took care of my truck when I was in a jam. Not only that, but when another repair shop messed something up, Mike pointed out the issue, and told us to go back to them and why. When we did, the other repair shop took care of the issue at no charge. The hourly labor rate is on the lower side of average for the area, and like any other they have to mark up parts if they sell them to you. But at Stebbins it is certainly worth the cost, due to the expertise and customer service skills. They are always busy, but somehow always make time to listen. Check this place out because this place is trustworthy, and we all know places like this are wicked hard to find.

What sets businesses apart is not just the work but how they handle the service. I felt very confident they could handle the work. Great expectation setting, cost estimates, explanations of the challenges with my car. The work was done as explained and in the time and budget they had conveyed. The day after I retrieved my car, it began to rattle. (I had exhaust work done) I called back immediately. They took me right in and made the adjustment. I was anxious that there might be additional charges or a claim that I would need additional work and that they had identified new repairs but they stuck by their work and I left a happy client. Very pleased with their work and their customer service.

I had needed an oil change from somewhere convenient to work. I looked up area garages and the reviews for Stebbins were great so I decided to try it. The owner, Will, was awesome at offering me the best oil for my situation and didnt treat me like a dumb woman that knows nothing about cars. I had kind of been testing him to see if when he rotated my tires if he would know to reset the computer...he came out and without any prompting from me told me how he reset the computer and how most places dont know to do that. He was not bragging, its a fact! But I knew it needed to be done and was so pleased that he knew to do it. He was also honest with me about the condition of my tires; I had been told a month after my car passed inspection that I needed new tires. When I asked Will about them he said they were still good. Clearly the dealer that told me I needed new tires were just trying to make a sale. As long as Im working in the area Stebbins will be my mechanic!

I would recommend Stebbins Auto Repair for your auto repair needs. I own a jeep and he has done brakes, oil changes, u-joints, suspension work etc. and I have always been satisfied with the pricing, the quick time frame, never waited more than half a day for my jeep. The customer service is exceptional as well as Will the owner is at the shop 90% of the time so if you have questions or concerns he is very good at explaining everything involved. He runs and overall reputable repair shop and stands behind his work.

When an electrical issue in my 2000 Excursion kept Will and Mike working late on a summer Friday, they fixed it, called me and waited for me to pick it up.That sealed the deal for me.Stebbins Auto Repair is a professional repair shop. The team has diagnosed, and serviced my vehicles for the last two years. I travel 20 minutes to get there, passing by 6 much closer shops. I trust only Stebbins to work on my four vehicles that range from 1996 to 2016. They will always call with the diagnoses before performing work.

I have found my new shop!! I took my van to 3 places to get my reduced power problem fixed. I spent over $850 on these places swapping parts. Will looked at it for me and found a broken wire on the engine harness within an hour. Repaired the wiring issue and got my business back on the road for less than $150!!!

Though the staff were pleasant and thorough, the cost of service/price of parts is extremely overpriced.

No Bs whatsoever, 100% transparency, explain in details and show you everything...actually you can see them working on your car through glass.ive been there on a friday around noon, took my car in right away, within an hour it was done. theyve done a few extra checking for no extra charge. highly recommended.

If I could could give 0 stars I would. We were referred to Stebbins Auto for work by a local nearby shop. Dave the service writer is awful with communication. My boyfriends car sat there for 2 months he kept saying “ we’re gonna start working on it this week, oh I need to re-write the order to how the warranty company wants it” we decided to stop by today not ONCE was the car ever looked at WINDOW ROLLED DOWN DURING THE SNOW STORMS AND RAIN, Battery DEAD AND TIRES WERE FLAT. We went into the shop today and he told us “ the warranty company won’t cover the work” OK THEN YOU SHOULD OF CALLED AND TOLD US THAT 2 months ago. Funny thing is we called the warranty company who said we called him a few weeks ago and never heard back from him. AWFUL service I will NEVER recommend this shop to anyone the car came back with more damage then it went with we will be contacting the better business bureau. Thanks again for wasting our time, when it could of been done else where MONTHS ago. Awful awful service

I highly recommend Stebbins. I trust them completely to do a through job at the right price. I have been taking my car(s) here for 8 months and wont go anywhere else. Will is friendly, approachable, and takes the time to explain exactly what needs to be fixed and how it works. My previous car (an 03 jetta) was having transmission problems and instead of just saying the whole thing needed to be replaced, which most repair shops would do (which would cost more than the car was worth), he diagnosed the specific problem and asked if I wanted to replace just that part (solenoid), which costed significantly less. I appreciated his honesty and transparency and that I could afford to keep my 15 year old car running. After I finally sold that car, I brought the car I intended to buy (a 2015 crosstrek) here for a pre purchase inspection. Will examined every part and component on the car. He pointed out some body damage that I didnt even see when I test dove the car. Most importantly he saw that one of the struts was leaking and needed to be replaced. I was able to go back to the dealer with this information and the dealership agreed to replace it with a genuine Subaru strut, saving me $500.
