One-way Rental was easy. Picked up at a Home Depot dropped off at Penske. Van was nearly new, comfortable. Only downside was minimum 5 day rental. Only needed it for two. Wished I could have saved some $ for shorter rental

I booked with another provider (uhaul) who canceled on me the day before my move (because I declined a request to tow someone elses trailer to a state along the way and I guess another person would) and penske was the only company with truck availability. (Last weekend of the month during move season) They drove out to another town to bring it to my desired pickup location. I was given a brand new truck which was nice (less than 500 miles on it) and the pickup and drop off was all pretty straightforward. Worth the money.

Rented a truck to move furniture on short notice. This was the only option available in a 50 mile radius. U-Haul, Enterprise-rent-a-car, Avis, all were not available. I need the truck for 4 hours and paid upwards of $150 because there were only day-long rental options. This is probably not the fault of the local agency but rather the Penske corporation, but I must say my pickup experience was quite awful. I waited in the rental office for over 30 minutes before someone showed up, and they had 1 person working when they should have had 2. Clearly a case of company trying to have 1 person do 2 peoples jobs.Additionally, I had rented for the full day so I expected I would be able to pick up anytime I wanted. However, apparently if youre more than an hour late of your scheduled time, they can requisition your vehicle to someone else, thereby pocketing your cash and getting double pay for one vehicle. While I may have missed this somewhere in the rental clause, its to me bad business - I paid for the whole day, I should be able to pick it up whenever I want.Regardless, Im sure much of these are corporate level policies so I harbor no ill will towards the workers. But its disappointing to see companies demonstrate such utter disregard for their clients and workers. 2/5 because the vehicle was clean.

I had hard situation to find available truck and it was last day to move my stuff. Finally one guy helped me to find it, he’s name Tom he was in linden location. Actually he saved my life.Thank you very much Tom👏🏼👏🏼

I have purchased a freight liner from this location, please be advise that you will only get 2 weeks warrant, in those two weeks you will not be able to get it fixed if you have major problem, I have an issue with the def, all they did few times was reset the computer in purpose waiting for the 2 weeks to expire after that its history, you will not be able to talk your way out of it.if you do have problem please report them I am now seeking legal advice.there is a lot of people having issues with Penske sales, dont let this big ripoff corporation get away with this, we work hard to let this blood suckers rip us off.

Made a reservation for a truck for an important event. Called all week and received guarantees my reservation would be filled. Day of pick up my needed truck was given away. Found an alternative truck which showed up almost 3 hours past pick up time without a needed lift gate.Reservations are not always fulfilled so be very careful considering this facility when your business is at stake.Overall team managed delays efficiently but reservations are a joke!

Last minute the person renting the truck before me had an emergency and couldn’t bring the truck back on time for me to use it. Penske found a resolution quickly and there were no hiccups. Good job

The price is competitive unless you catch a deal the days you need it. My latest experience with them was horrible. I made my reservation and put my credit card on file. Went the following morning and the salesperson said my truck wasnt there yet because I arrived 15 minutes before my pick up time. I waited 30 minutes in the parking lot only to find out my truck was rented and wouldnt be available. I had to drive to another location 40 minutes away. They did give me 25% off at this point. So I arrive and am ready to go until they say that the credit card I used wasnt for the security deposit it was only for the reservation. I needed a card on me for them to swipe. I didnt have a card since my wife left the night before and was 750 miles away. After 6 hours I had my truck. Moving is stressful enough . This just compounded it.

Nick from South Plainfield was very helpful, he measured the size of the ramps for me over the phone for a vehicle I wasn’t even renting from his store. Went above and beyond to assist me in figuring what size truck I needed to rent! Highly recommend

Great attention, Accurate time frame of the job/service to be performed, Unique positive attitude in order to help me keep going on the road; even when I arrive without reservations on a friday afternoon and they still had to go and get the parts in order to repair the truck. Chris got it! Too much positive feedback to mention....Just a Great team in a Great New Jersey location.
