UPDATED: I can’t say anything with regards to Dr Boyers as a clinician. We didn’t really interact beyond several texts, one after hours even. Imagine my surprise to find a healthcare professional that takes the time to reach out via text at 9pm just as I’m getting my children to bed. Sadly I missed those and was able to catch up during my “me time”.Dr Boyer’s is the first name that pops up when you Google “ARFID psychologist Miami”. Her website is quite impressive and even includes a quiz for parents of children who suspect their child may suffer from ARFID. If you don’t pass the quiz click the “contact us for help” button just like I did. Just a quick heads up, she only works with ages 14+. You won’t find that on her ARFID page though. So don’t click the “contact us” button unless you or your child is 14+. You’re welcome.3 stars because at least she did respond even though it was via text and it was after hours but whatever. Upon my request, she was kind enough to take a second from her day and search up a name and number of an alternate practitioner that I could reach out to who works with younger children. That’s always helpful. I still don’t think her ARFID page is clear with regards to the ages she works with. A couple of tweaks and the lines of communication would be so much clearer.

Dr. Boyers is a wonderful, kind, compassionate and fearless person. She was able to reach me on a level that no one else could and help me really work towards my recovery.
Doctor Amy Boyers is a doctor that is only out to get a check of money from you. She barely listens or asks questions she just automatically assumes your diagnosis. She made me feel worse about myself and after allowing her to speak to my parents, she only made conflicts with my family worse calling me “manipulative and selfish” to my mother behind my back she also continued to tell my family that my eating disorder was “fake” and used for “attention” . I wouldn’t recommend this therapist to my worst enemy she’s only out to get money.
