I ordered a bike and needed help getting it assembled. They fixed it within an hour and were super nice. Adrian was even nice enough to deliver my bike to my house after I couldnt fit it in my car. I tried to tip him and he refused. I really appreciated their customer service.
Nelly, Adrian and hadel We’re simply phenomenal extremely helpful they waited for me even though I was on foot in transit to the store from at least 50 minutes away And I called To get a price match from a competitors store and they gave me the rates and also we’re very patient upon my arrival they took care of my flat inner tube tire and service So I did not have to come on the weekend or next week in order to get the service thank you somi bikes
VERY DISAPPOINTING SERVICE. I came to do a tune up which I did there. Shortly after when I got on the bike the brakes were not working properly. I called & was told to bring the bike back in, and they would fix it. When I arrived they proceeded to tell me I needed new cables. The bike & brakes were working perfectly fine before coming here. I will not be returning, I was also looking for another bike but WILL NOT PURCHASE HERE
Sharing my experience. Went there with 1 flat tire and asked to replace tube. I asked to have them checked and was immediately told we dont check, only replace. So i asked them to replace. Granted I could have been more specific, but they also could have asked. They replaced both tubes, for which they charged $19.98 and they charged $30 for 2 flat repairs (only 1 was flat). Total spent on my kids little bike $51.38. Four stars because the bike is fine and the service was quick.
Awesome spot. Genuinely nice people
They do not do their complete job, charge as they do, and then are not responsable for their actions.I took a flat tire to repair, next morning flat again, they did not check the internal area so the tube got broke again, and then it is my fault.Very expensive their services.
Been going to them for a while to get my bike tuned up.
Walked in and non of their employees were wearing masks...their customer werent either! This did not make us feel comfortable or like they care for the safety of their customers or themselves.
One of the best bike shops in town! I highly recommend it to anybody hands down 👏🏼
SAD. NOT LIKE IT USED TO BE BEWARE!! Place has become the rudest shop around....or maybe i should have started my conversation in SPANISH and you would have been nicer LOL....News flash machismos it doesnt cost $290 to replace the chain on an old bike! Had family in town needed your help and you tried to screw us. you dont want business you got it, but you better start shipping south if you are going to that B.S. customer service up.
Amazing product selection, great prices, and super conveniently located. But most importantly, amazing and friendly customer service! Thanks so much, guys!
Read yelp everyone has same issues - beware of this place - i wanted it to be great cause it’s near my favorite concrete trail - the m trail - but the place has big big problems - this is not the south miami bike shop anymore that got good reviews - same place different owner. The new owner is not customer friendly at all. He accuses you if service not correct and you spend more time going back and forth than if he had looked into the issue itself. When i went they take your pick up receipt after service as part of their policy and throw it in a garbage but if you come back because service not 100 thorough, they say you were never here before and you have to find a way to prove. You tell them you had this service done and they say they don’t remember doing that after you they pin point you did get the service they accused you of not getting. Its like a toxic relationship there. I went in with my brakes working fine - gear was skipping, went back times and i finally had to go to - the cycle mart of miami - after $500 of spending. Cycle mart after looking at my parts (they did return) that the old parts were good and changed for no reason - i only needed crank tightened for $15. Cycle also said my bike had fallen in shop (no shimmying when i took to somi, but shimmying after) and my front shocks were damaged. Replacement $350+ and rebuild unlikely. I guess Somi knew they dropped and damaged my bike hence kept my receipt, argued with me and pretended i never got serviced there and meanwhile i had to take to another bike shop to have original issue fixed.u
Great work done on my vintage bike. I did a tune up plus replacing tires, and handle tape.Very friendly staff!
I received horrible customer service and attitude when I was going to purchase a road bike today. However, I would advise you to spend your money elsewhere where you are respected if you are looking for bike services. Im an administrator of a bike club and would notifying our 500 members to know of this poor customer experience. 👎🏾
Great service! Thanks for our great tune ups. The women in the front was able to tell me what I needed and a fast service was provided! Thanks guys
80 bucks to tune a bike ?! Id rather YouTube it. Not a specialization worth paying 80 dollars of labor 😂😂😂 they also takes forever to answer a phone on a Monday .
I would post 0 stars if I could. Not one employee had a mask on and when I entered they were all sitting down and giving me a dirty and uninterested look. I ended up leaving and buying 2 bikes elsewhere.Save your money for a place where they actually care to offer customer service and put your safety first. This place is a JOKE.
Went there for some bike repairs and they fixed my bike better then when i first bought it and gave me an amazing prize
I was in need of a new bike saddle because the one I had on my road bike was killing my sit bones. A friend of mine recommended Somi and recommended the Cloud 9 gel saddle. I called ahead and they told me there were only 2 left. He held one for me until I got out of work. When I got there, they were quite busy but I was able to get in & out to get my evening ride on! Fast & friendly service, I’ll definitely be back. Centrally located in South Miami, very convenient. Thank you Somi!
Very disappointing. I came here this morning to fix my daughters tire. Not one of the people who work here were wearing masks. When I asked if I could pay from outside, I was told no by a very rude woman. Finally one of them said that it was ok when I explained that my daughter has asthma and that even if I wear a mask, the fact that they are not doesn’t protect me and I can’t risk that. The woman then pretty much threw back my credit card and receipt at me with a very bad attitude and didn’t even bring the bike out. I still had to go in to take it as no one was considerate enough to bring it out. Mind you, it is only 10 steps max to the register so it wasn’t a lot of effort on their part. Don’t they know that if they don’t have masks, the person who enters with mask has only a 5% protection? Everyone going into the store could be at risk.
They did a good job on the tune up. Nut need some help on their customer service or may not last to long. Called nonanswer multiple times. Then when did answer left on hold forever. And all would ask ticket number. For consumers we want the experience of great customer service. If somethings goes wrong will they be there to resolve the problem? Had a hard time reaching them first time so not sure. Not sure if would go again. Wasnt satisfied. They werent cheap and didnt have good customer service. Good luck
Best bike shop in south Florida. Super friendly yet knowledgeable staff.
I got my bike from kaydee she is so outgoing and kind and was very knowledgeable. And a pleasure to do business with. Thank you very much.
Horrible customer service. Simple chain fix that I needed but THEY couldn’t do that apparently, instead they were going to charge me $80 for a tuneup. Reluctantly I agreed and they told me it was gonna en at least a whole week before I can get it back. Turns out they hadn’t touched my bike for 5 days I had left it and when I called Katie told me it wouldn’t be ready till the deadline. So much business but you can’t keep up with demand?? You lost a customer today especially after wanting to over charge me for a simple fix. Won’t be back here.
Treatment and service was great! But they do not respect their clients because no one uses masks and they couldnt care less, indoors with air conditioning all closed and they do not respect space. Had no car so was my only option.
Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff.Katie was very nice and helpful!!Will recommend Somi bikes to anybody .
Katie was knowledgeable and helped me make the best decision on a bike. Best service always!
The best bike shop in South Miami! I always come here to get my bicycle serviced. Fast and friendly service provided by their knowledgeable staff at affordable prices. Thank you Somi Bike!
Great store, great selection of bikes and accessories. The owner, Jean, is very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable prices and the in-house mechanics always leave my bike ready to shred some trails. Thanks Jean and the Somi Bike team!
Katie is very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped with my two bikes. No issues highly recommend this shop
The best place ever
Came in to buy a simple valve core and got the rudest response from the employees there. Instead of trying to find out what I needed since they apparently didnt understand English, they proceeded to making fun and laughing at me for not having brought in my bike. Nice to see how people still assume that being a woman means I dont know anything about my bike and need a man to change my inner tube that didnt even need replaced to begin with. Never coming back.
Great service love this place!
For such a small shop they sure aren’t welcoming. Instead of greeting the customer with “Hello, how can I help”, they just stare and look like they’re bothered.
Great spot! Excellent service! Really helpful and knowledgeable and the turnaround is really quick. Only place I need to go to for my biking needs.
Jean, is the man! Loving my Norco! They all had great customer service, even during these hard times!
Brought my bike in for a repair. They looked at the problem, gave me a repair ticket, and told me it would be ready in the afternoon. A few hours later they called me to pick it up because they didnt have anyone that knows how to fix complex braking systems. They could have told me this when I brought the bike in and saved me a trip! Also, they leave the bikes out in the rain, which is where I found my bike.
Great place and Staff! Gene made buying my equipment easy and explained all the pros and cons on my purchase! Highly recommend them. Great prices too!!
Super cool place. Covered floor to ceiling in bikes and other equipment. They did a great job on my bike and the whole thing didnt take more than a few minutes
Family atmosphere! I was very welcomed as soon as I entered. I was quoted an affordable price to replace both tires and explained in detail as to the benefit for the change. I was offered also the opportunity to join the monthly cycling gathering that happens each month. Im so happy I found this place and know I will be returning again, especially for the critical mass event each month.
Friendly service from Jean helped me find the right bike for a great price. Sold me exactly what I needed and did not try and oversell me on something extra. Will definitely be returning again.
Great customer service. Iv built 2 bikes with them and always have had great prices and great quality. The owner is super sweet and bilingual witch suits me perfectly. Overal great environment!
Would definitely recommend SOMI BIKE to anyone looking to buy a bike or get one fixed! Overall an extremely positive experience for me, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth the drive from Homestead.
Great store. Friendly/knowledgeable staff. I got a tuneup and bought a bunch of equipment at a great price. Highly recommended.
Excellent shop (so far). New ownership for about a year or so, and completely different (shop). Very small, decent inventory. Awesome techs, great time frame. Cant beat it!!! To the jerk that left negative review because you didnt get free tubes, well youre a jerk. I can see how hard these guys are working, and unfortunate that people like you use a forum like this to leave a bad review. You are NOT even a customer. My pricing was reasonable, and think these guys are giving me my moneys worth!
Great service. I have purchased bikes and gotten bikes repaired here. Good selection of quality kid, ladies and mens bikes. They pick up and drop off bikes as well. fantastic
I love these guys. Great attention, quick service, they have all sorts of bike accessories, truly a complete bike shop. Will go back again, 100% guaranteed.
First time I went in, and greeted the staff, the first thing they said when they found out where Im from were some pretty racist things. Muslim this, and Muslim that. Never shopping there. Also gave bad advice on what kind of oil for my chain. Im a mechanic, and always ask that as a test of the knowledge of the staff. They failed that as well.EDITUnfortunately, you dont know your staff as well as you think you do, and to give you credit, you were not in the shop at the time. You were trying to sort out a problem outside during my visit. There were two members of staff in the shop at the time.I had recently moved over from the UK, and came across your shop, and decided to check it out. Once it came out in conversation that I was from the UK, I was asked: what are you doing about the brown problem over there?! I had to have this member of staff clarify what they meant, and he said, The browns, you know? Muslims? Not sure what you call that over here, but in the UK and Canada, that is racism. As for the oil question as my test, I asked what type would be recommended for riding conditions in Miami, ie: wet, dry, wax, ceramic. I was told whichever, as they are all the same.As I said, I will give yourself the benefit of the doubt about racism and bike knowledge, but I dont think you know your staff as well as you think.
These people are extremely rude. Very poor customer service, impossible to get them to help you, and ignore you when you ask questions. Mack is much better and much cheaper, which is why Mack is much more successful. Dont take my word for it, just look at the number of customers and the ratings. This place is awful... Hope this place goes out of business. And Im pretty sure their employees have left the only good reviews theyve received.
Awesome bike store
Bad service. There everything is about money and no client services. Bad. Really bad
Great and handy place! They just fixed my flat tire in less than 15 minutes! Very friendly. In case you do want to wait longer, there is a Starbucks across the street.
Excellent attention they gave us in the store and what we like most is that they have to park bike. excellent place thanks Team Somibike
Quick stop flat tire. Helped out a lot thanks a lot!!!.- would definitely recommend very fortunate to have found them good location and all!!! Great service!!!.-
Professional Team at SOMI with Client Satisfaction as a Top Priority. Thanks Jean and Team SOMI for always keeping it 100%!
South Miami bike shop is a awesome shop for bikes. There service is really nice and fast. They treat with respect. South Miami Bike shop has the best mechanics.
Customer service is VERY poor, there are always random people that are not customers store rats laughing and joking with the manager/owner/workers, while they are advising on products/services to you. NOT PERSONAL AT ALL.The elder Cuban technician guys are great, but the rest awful.I was given a price for a service and then it went up without them telling me of the changes made.
Helpful and knowledgeable techs. Honest about whether your bike needs service or just air in the tires.
Been a regular customer for a year or so, nice staff who definitely know what theyre doing. Feels like a nice small familyish shop
If youre a nice and respectful person youll be rewarded with skillful and quick service.
The people who work there are nice, and always have what I’m looking for.
Completely disappointed with the service. they charged twice as much as their initial estimate, and did a terrible job on something I could have fixed myself if I had the time, and yet the same part fell apart a month later.
Came here to buy an inner tube for my bike, and was even contemplating buying a brand new bike for my son. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with rudeness and imposing intimidation. I laughed it off and proceeded to ask about the specific inner tube, a guy at the counter tried to sell me a used tube instead of packaged brand new tube for a few bucks cheaper than a regular brand new one, which I was initially looking for. Funny how many people in Miami are filled with a deadly combination of arrogance and ignorance, a few of the workers or store rats assumed I didnt speak Spanish and began speaking about me in Spanish. I turned around, walked off and took my business down the road. This business lost a good sum of about $1500.00 from me that day, just for being a store full of douche bags and ignorant skeemers. I hope the owner reconsiders who he employes in the future.
I liked it the way it was before without all the nice decor and such (call me crazy) but its nice to have a small bike shop around!
Didnt complete the work on time and did it incorrectly. Person at the register doesnt know how to do refunds. Neither of the bikes was polished at the end
A little overpriced but good merchandise great people
Bought a used bike for $80 and a couple weeks later both the brakes stopped working. The estimate to fix the breaks were $50 ($25 each) for a bike that costed me $80 a couple weeks ago. I decided to fix one because I was desperate. Again a couple weeks later, the seat literally fell off, which was estimated to cost another $30. On top of selling me seemingly good used bike, the cashier guy was rude and could seem to understand the situation, let alone be empathic. Do not buy used bikes from here!! It will end up costing double what they say, in the end.
Very polite and helpful!
Unfortunately the girl in the front didn’t help much .. ending going to another Cycle place to purchase a $3K. It’s all about customer service..
I called to ask if theyd give me their trash. My son needs an old tube so he can use the shraeder valve. I called 4 stores today. The others all took the time to check and one of them (MackCycle) said theyd keep an eye out for them and save them for my son...but I was hoping to get some today without buying a new tube, so thats why I called Bikes To Go. The guy was a jerk. He was impatient. He said they throw the tubes right away immediately and doesnt know what they threw away. I am okay that they didnt have any but I didnt like his attitude. Sure, I wasnt calling to buy anything today...I was looking for their trash. But you better believe when I do need something from a bike store, I am not calling this guy. I will call MackCycle.
Great place, great prices and good quality 👍
These guys are awesome!
Excelent place, feel like family there
Great service, friendly staff.
Efficient
Second time Ive been there and they come through in a hurry, professional, and get right to the point. Will be my first option when it comes to getting equipment and repairs.
The absolutely best of South Miami!!!
Excellent attention 🙂
Very good service!
Good experience and specialized staff.
