Had a fantastic parasailing experience with hilarious hosts
Went parasailing with my boyfriend, it was so much fun. The workers were very kind, they definitely made the experience a lot of fun. Cant wait for COVID to be over so we can go back!
We had an amazing time parrasailing and jet skiing, the views were perfect while up in the air I mean you see everything around you. The jet ski was so fun just in the open waters going as fast as you can was the best plus emarald bay was beautiful to visit. The water was so blue and warm we took the jet ski to an empty spot and jump in for a swim.
We were able to get a same day reservation and the ultra low-emission jet ski ride and swim was super fun! Bad news was they were 30 minutes behind schedule and there were mandatory boundaries we had to stay within. (No Emerald Bay trip) Staff was calm and patient but don’t expect manners or professionalism. None of the staff wore masks during our interactions and sadly, we did not witness any sanitation of the jet skis in between customers. Overall we had a good-time but we likely won’t return.
Nice rental place kind of hidden in the back. Took us extra time to find the place. We didnt get started, half hour late for the appointment. But the person doing the renting, gave us the full hour from the time we actually were able to start our rental after all the safety checks and instructions.
I called and made a reservation for 3pm. The employee told me to show up exactly at 3. I show up at exactly 3 and they pretend that I never called. I show them proof of the call log on my phone and they say all the boats are unavailable and that I never called. Never had this bad customer service. Would not recommend booking anything through this company.
We made a reservation online and thought that we had done everything right. Apparently, we were wrong. After waiting in line for almost an hour to fill out paper work, we were finally ready to get on our jet-skis and have fun. Except for the fact that the people at Action Watersports decided to not pay any attention to the reservations that had been made and just rented jet-skis on a first-come, first-served basis. Whats the point of a reservation then? Furthermore, when we brought this issue to the owner, we were spoken to in a rude and condescending tone. The college-aged employees were extremely rude and clearly did not care about safety or responsibility. We had to wait an hour after our reserved timeslot to even begin our hour-long rental. I would recommend renting from literally any other company on the lake. If you have to rent from them, expect a long wait (even if you have a reservation), rude staff, and an irresponsible owner.
We went Parasailing and the crew was fantastic through the whole experience. They were great with kids and made it an enjoyable experience.
Fabulous parasailing experience for our family! The boat driver and crew person were both wonderful and the scenery was amazing!
Great professional, competent, friendly staff. We enjoyed our experience and the team at Action Watersports made the entire experience better from end to end.
Rented a speedboat and went parasailing. I fall between 3-4 stars. I will start with our boating experience.PROS-It was great. The guy who helped us through the directions was wonderful. He was also very aware of social distancing and had his mask on when going through procedures. He did not get on the boat to demonstrate but instead pointed everything out to myself, husband and our son.CONS - Hardly any -The paperwork process to get out on the water was slow, but we did not lose any time.Parasailing was a little different.PROS - Our son ended up having a great time. The crew were polite and funny when on the boat.CONS- My husband and I signed up to only sit on the boat ($20 pp) and our son wanted to parasail. I called around to a few places because there were some that would not allow my son to ride solo (due to his weight - 75 lbs)When I called Action Sports the person who I spoke with told me that his weight was fine. I went online to book and it even asked for his weight during the booking process. After you enter it, there is NOWHERE that I saw that said he would be unable to sail solo due to his weight. I was charged and we were ready to go.Fast forward to the day of sail. We arrive and as soon as we said it was my son sailing, the dynamic changed. It felt very aggressive as the woman was not as nice as one should be. I understand if its a danger...it is what it is and I prefer everyone to be safe, but I could have done with a little less attitude. When we were trying to question her, the captain interjected and he also came across very aggressive (in my opinion and as a paying customer this is extremely frustrating). So now I have a visibly upset son who either doesnt go or has to tandem with one of us. We also now have an additional charge for my husband. In the end - did he have fun...Yes but its frustrating as a parent when you do your due diligence and they fail to give you all the information. One last CON - the place is SO DIFFICULT to find.
Nobody seemed to want business here.. All of their boats were there but they didnt want to rent any out. We ended up getting a boat for the day at another marina.
First of all the google location is a little off when you get close, so to avoid confusion; the check in station is on the dock by the beach. Highly recommend making a reservation in advanced, because otherwise on a busy weekend its like winning the lottery to get an avaiable Sea doo. Keep in mind that even with a reservation you may not start on time depending on how busy they are. The flow of the day depends on the availability of the watercraft and you are at the mercy of that. All that being said, we made a reservation and the check in team and water craft operators did everything they could to keep things moving and accomodate the big rush. They were definitely swamped with walk -ins and honestly a bit understaffed, but that is no fault of the workers. With the pandemic Im sure it affected staff scheduling to a point. The staff was very friendly and helpful and despite there being a rush when we got there and having to wait 20 minutes for our Sea doo, they were nice enough to give us some extra time with it for free to make up for that. Basically if you are willing to be flexible, you will have a blast. Set aside at least half a day if not a full day to really enjoy the experience and not feel rushed.
I loved this place. Good place to rent a jet ski. We rent out a jet ski. They will teach you how to drive. They explained things very clearly. Very friendly staff. Crowded during peak days. Limited parking space. Highly recommend.
Staff was rude! I dont reccomend this place
We rented a power boat for two hours ($600 total with gas). Had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Ivy guided us through the boat specifics. She was great.
The staff is super slow and lazy. Go somewhere else.
Great service here. Definitely would go back amd rent from these guys.
Worst boat renting place ever. the place is run by people that know nothing about what there doing. and if you try to make a reservation forget it. i made one for a master craft x80. i reserved it 3 weeks in advance. i got there and they gave the boat to a person who reserved the same day. they had no record of my reservation. the place is horrible. if your trying to rent a boat on lake tahoe go somewhere else.
We had an amazing time parasailing!!! Beverly, in the office, was so wonderful to work with! Capt John and Clay made the parasailing so much fun and enjoyable! Highly recommend😊
These place is the Best! If your looking for new boats with great service. And a safety record unmatched in the boat ride / rental service. Then these are your folks. We have been using their services for years. Always the highlight for the kids. Jet Skiis were new. That rocket boat was just stupid fun. I wouldnt trust anybody else in a Parasail. Cant wait to get back. Next time where going fishing.
We rented wave runners and went parasailing here two years ago, and all went well. This time, in August, not so much. I asked to rent 4 waverunners, which costs close to six hundred dollars. The brunette at the front desk was horribly rude. She was practically yelling at me, Well, do you know that you have to do this, and you cant do that, and you cant go past this line, etc. etc. I was so taken aback I was speechless for a moment. Finally I said, I guess you really dont want me to rent these from you, do you? There are many places to rent at Lake Tahoe, and I would not recommend that you do it here. Also, the manager needs to know that she is running customers off.
My first time parasailing! Loved it! Sonny (crew member) went up with me when my partner backed out at last minute. He was great! Definitely will be recommending for parasailing.
Quick service, make sure to reserve your activities online before coming
Rules are unclear. They are very rude!
Pontoon boat allows 16 people. Action wouldn’t let us take 14. They cap at 13. Two of our 14 were infants that would be held in laps. Just looking for a boat to ride around the lake on...
Better than any other marina in South Lake Tahoe. Provides flexible dates and times for activities
They have everything you need! Check out the pier also, very cool!
Boat was full of water and wouldnt plane off on full 4 hr rental...nothing but a sorry. Also never told no anchor on boat. Too technical. Not recommended
Poor customer service
